I do not recommend this business. Todd has zero integrity. He does not fix the problem and tries to make you do a repair you do not need.

Todd made three separate trips to my house to help me resurrect the A/C system in my antique German car.

He was knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain what needed to be done in a way that actually made sense. The work was completed efficiently and correctly, and my car runs great now. It's clear Keegan takes pride in his work and cares about doing things the right way. I highly recommend asking for Keegan if you need reliable, honest mechanical service.

I booked this mobile mechanic through Yelp for a diagnostic after already having my Jeep scanned at…read moreAutoZone and receiving error codes (injector, spark plugs, and gaskets). I explained this upfront and still chose to proceed with a diagnostic to confirm the issue. I was quoted a flat $65 diagnostic fee by the owner with no mention of pricing ranges or tiers. I agreed and scheduled the service. The technician arrived about 30 minutes later than scheduled, which I was informed of ahead of time. During a brief text exchange with the owner, I expressed concern due to a prior negative experience with another company. The response I received made the interaction feel slightly tense, including being told I could "find someone else" if needed. When the technician arrived, I explained the issues and the codes I already had. During the inspection, the technician began deeper inspection work on the vehicle. I was not clearly informed beforehand that more extensive disassembly or work beyond a basic diagnostic could result in additional charges. Afterward, I was told the diagnostic would actually be $200 due to the depth of the inspection, despite originally being quoted $65. After discussing this, I was ultimately charged $75. I expressed concern that the pricing change was not communicated upfront. The owner later acknowledged that he should have communicated a pricing range and that this was a mistake on his part. I requested a copy of the diagnostic findings I was being charged for. The response indicated there was no formal report, but pictures and a summary were provided. Communication afterward included frustration from the business regarding the reduced payment, despite the pricing change being due to lack of prior disclosure. While I do believe the technician performed the inspection thoroughly and provided useful findings, the core issue was the lack of clear communication around pricing structure, scope of work, and potential cost changes before work beyond a basic diagnostic began. I would recommend future customers get very clear written confirmation of what is included in the diagnostic fee, whether deeper inspection can change pricing, and what documentation will be provided before service begins.

Like days would go by of nothing after they previously told us it would be done in a day or 2, it went on for a while and my car was in the shop for like over a month. Another thing, when we brought my car In, for a starter issue , they then say that my timing belt is bad and that they want to replace that and quoted me like $600. Well the thing is is that I got my timing belt replaced with the same people like nine months ago and a timing belt last for a long, long time much longer than one year . so I told them my timing belt was fixed here so that shouldn't be broken this early, Would you guys switch it out at no cost ?and they say yeah it's in our warranty for two years so we will switch that out , but and then when they try to find proof of me getting a timing belt, they said that they had no history of my car being there which flat out pissed me off because I remember talking to Will the exact same guy 11 months ago or so and magically he doesn't remember me or my car I get that they have a lot of cars but it totally seemed like they just didn't wanna find proof of me being there so they had to charge me again for the timing belt. so then I pulled up credit card receipt of me paying them for the timing belt , and I sent it to them , magically , then they said oh we found you guys in our system. Sorry about that ! Seemed super sus , in the end my car seemed fixed and everything was fine but the way that it literally took like a month and a half to get my car back was insane. They never said sorry or anything and they would say oh it'll be done next weekend next week I would come if we wanna get a phone call. We had to call them so the communication was really really awful and asked made us never wanna go back there. Like I understand stuff takes a while but maybe put in some effort to send a text letting us know

No More Dealership Service for My Truck I was driving down…read moreI-17 at 75 mph when my well-maintained 2016 Silverado suddenly lost power -- I lost steering control, braking became difficult, the wipers turned on by themselves, and several LED alerts started flashing. It was a scary experience! O'Reilly Auto Parts ran a diagnostic scan and confirmed the battery was fine, suggesting it might be the alternator, but they recommended I go to a Chevy dealership for a more advanced diagnosis. I went to Midway Chevy, and the service advisor immediately said I needed a new battery. I wasn't confident in that quick assessment and asked for a full inspection, but they said it could take up to two days just to look at it -- and several more days for repairs. That meant a week of car rental costs and a huge bill! So, I decided to find a local shop and had my truck towed to Wilhelm Automotive in Anthem, AZ. Best decision ever. The next morning, Wilhelm's team ran a thorough diagnostic and found the real issue -- a wiring problem between the engine and the battery. They fixed it the same day, in just a few hours, and at a very reasonable price. My Service Advisor, Kyle Long, even arranged and paid for an Uber to pick me up at home so I could get back to my truck. From start to finish, the service was professional, transparent, and refreshingly honest. The certified techs clearly know what they're doing, their equipment is state-of-the-art, and their customer care is second to none. No upselling, no unnecessary repairs -- just integrity and quality work. Wilhelm Automotive has definitely earned my trust. With their nearly 1,000 five-star reviews, it's clear I'm not the only one who feels this way. They're now my go-to shop for all future service and repairs -- no more dealership visits for me!

But as I'm…read morecurrently looking for a place to service another 4Runner, I felt this experience was worth sharing. A few years ago, I took my first 4Runner V8 to Toyoworks for a timing belt and water pump replacement. They advertise themselves as Toyota/Lexus specialists. Unfortunately, the timing belt was installed incorrectly and snapped while the engine was running -- under their care. This caused major internal engine damage, including several bent pistons. To their credit, they did repair the engine. However, they still charged me for the original timing belt service, which I now understand should have been waived at minimum. According to Arizona law, auto repair shops must perform services with reasonable care, and if negligence leads to damage, they can be held responsible (see ARS § 12-561 and the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act § 44-1522). The most frustrating part is that the engine was never quite the same after the repair. It developed a light "ticking" noise and felt like it had lost some power. I ended up selling the vehicle later on, but that experience stuck with me. I'm not posting this to discredit the shop -- I know many people have had good experiences with Toyoworks over the years. I'm simply sharing my own so others can ask the right questions and fully understand what kind of accountability is offered before committing to major work.
