Johnny was straightforward from the start. He didn't zero in on our monthly payment to distract from the overall price and gave us the out the door price without having to ask. When we brought up concerns about financing he laid out the 3 options he had and didn't waste our time with the ones we probably wouldn't get approved with. The next time we are in the market for a used car Taylor Auto Sales will definitely be our first call. We can't thank Johnny enough for being the perfect no pressure salesman especially after an incredibly frustrating multi-day car-shopping experience.

I even…read morehad it checked out, and found a few issues that I felt could easily be fixed, so i informed them about it. They fixed them, or so I thought. After purchasing my vehicle I realized the issue was still there. I informed the salesman about it and he told me that I was not a mechanic and that was how the vehicle would run. It was pretty insulting as I know that I am not a mechanic, but, I've had plenty of vehicles and can tell you when something is wrong with a car. Being that I had purchased the vehicle, I knew I was screwed, but, luckily I purchased a warranty. And, that warranty that I purchased went on to pay for almost $2,000 in repairs. I've been stuck with the vehicle every since because I am unable to afford another one. They got me. I can not, and will not recommend them to anyone.

Auto Fleet - power steering issue

I purchased a Nissan Pathfinder from this dealership less than two weeks ago and paid an additional…read more$500 for a 90-day powertrain warranty. At first, I felt like I got a fair deal upfront. However, since buying the vehicle, several issues have surfaced. First, the roof trim came loose, which I had to glue back myself. Then, I discovered that the rear door handle was broken--a detail I missed during my inspection, so I had to fix that as well. And this morning, I realized the power steering fluid is definitely bad, which may require me to spend $2,000 to $3,000 to replace the pump entirely. It's evident to me that this vehicle was not properly inspected by a certified professional before it was listed for sale. The "computer readout" they provided, showing old diagnostic codes, was apparently from the previous owner, as they didn't even bother to run it themselves. I take full responsibility for trusting these people--Alvin, in particular, was great to work with--but unfortunately, this dealership refuses to stand behind their products. They are doing everything possible to avoid covering repairs that, in my opinion, should have been addressed before the car was listed for sale. Who sells a car with bad fluids, broken trim, and a faulty rear door handle--something that could have potentially trapped my kids? To make matters worse, although I paid for the warranty in full to cover issues like this, they are politely refusing to cover any of the repairs because they "aren't engine or powertrain related." While Alvin tried his best, he has no authority to make decisions for customers, which is frustrating. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I wouldn't call my car a lemon since it does run, but the lack of accountability and customer support is unacceptable. The only reason I'm giving this dealership one star instead of zero is because of Alvin's efforts. So, thanks, but no thanks--save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!

Beware. Here's my story - I found a car online, I'm quite a distance away - upstate New York, in…read morefact. But these cars are hard to find and this one was what I'd been looking for. The salesman, Alvin, was great and I felt he was trustworthy. He agreed to take the car to a nearby auto mechanic to double check it, at my expense. That checkup found serious issues, and the salesman got the dealership to agree to fix them. Why? I had a great, newer car to trade in. But today, when they finally got the parts and had it fixed, Alvin came in to work to find that instead of taking it for its final check at the auto shop, it had been sold to someone else yesterday. Yes, I was disappointed and I am not pleased. But since they used my report to make fixes to the car and sold it to someone else, it seemed the least they could do was pay for that inspection. The owner, Roger Tinsley, just told me he "wasn't doing that" and I "should have bought the car quicker." Since Auto Fleet's inspection didn't find any of the issues found, and they were the ones who said there was a delay in getting the repair parts, I find that an interesting argument. So - I'm out $250 and I don't have the car I thought I was getting this week. Don't make my mistake. Go find a place that isn't run like this one.

They are honest people who do great work and genuinely care about their customers. I can't tell you how different an experience this was than dealing with a major dealership in Birmingham that had a similar car I was interested in. The people at TLC motors are up front with you and bring none of the sleazy auto dealership games that you find virtually everywhere else. My experience with them is as follows: I found a car on autotrader that was at TLC motors. I called to make sure it was still available and then drove 2.5 hours from Atlanta, but when I arrived, the car had been sold. You can imagine my disappointment at the time, but any disappointment ended here. Rajai, the owner, took me into his office and sat me down and started going through car auctions looking for a similar vehicle. Sure enough, he found one. Same make, model, color, year, and with 15,000 fewer miles than the one I had come to see. He bought it for me on the auction with absolutely zero obligation to buy it and never once requested any deposit or anything to buy it or hold it for me. He said if I didnt like it, he could sell it to someone else no problem. Within 1 week, the new car had arrived. Rajai ended up selling me the vehicle at an incredible price and giving me a very good amount on my trade in. These people genuinely care about their customers' satisfaction. When I arrived the second time to see the new car, it was in excellent condition. I asked to take it to a 3rd party mechanic for an inspection and they were happy for me to do that. I pointed out the few flaws I could find to Rajai and his son Joe, and they had their mechanic and detail crew come over immediately and fix even the most minor problems I could find (a squeaky sunroof, etc). I was moving soon after buying the car, so he walked me through the titling process for the new state. Summary- this is an incredible place with great people and great cars. I would recommend it to friends and family in heartbeat.
