As great as that was, i should have done more estimates as they charged way more than it should have been. Word of advice, get a toilet through a store, then have them install it for cheaper. Anyhow a different tech came to put the new toilet in. He was nice and did a good job. However, should have checked the upper tank and it was wobbly a bit. I messaged them and ask if that's normal. A different tech came and temporary fixed it. I believe it's that type of tank that is just not steady in the upper part (top flush button) I ended up again using a towel to put behind to make it sturdy. Imagine that, a pricy toilet that uses a towel to keep the upper part sturdy. As annoying as it is to get estimates, you should definitely do that before you settle for one that's more pricy than it should have been. And all they care about is you rating them and keep asking you to rate them through email and phone.

There was a smell emanating from our guest bath. Googling the cause of the smell put me in panic…read moremode. I called Draintech to inquire about a possible sewer leak. Kaelin answered the phone. (on a Sunday) I was expecting to get the answering machine. I described the problem and he calmly walked me through the possible causes. He gave me step-by-step instructions on what might be causing the smell. I wasn't confident that I could fix it myself, so I booked the scheduled visit that following Wednesday anyway. But after hanging up, I tried his instructions. And sure enough it fixed the problem. Long story short, if you have a spare bath that is unused. Not running the flush or shower can cause a ?vacuum? where the sewer smell could escape... (something like that, but don't quote me). I haven't written a review here in years, but wanted to let everyone know that Kaelin (Draintech) is a good and honest business. He could have kept our appointment and I would have happily paid for his visit. But instead gave me the instructions to fix it myself. That's amazing. He didn't get a payment from me this time around, but he earned a faithful customer for any future plumbing issues I might encounter.

After a couple of weeks of disasters with two visits from plumbers our home warranty sent. We decided to find our own here on Yelp. 1st Call Plumbing looked promising, so we called them. Mike is very personable and instilled confidence from the get-go. He listened carefully on the phone and asked pertinent questions, scheduling us in for a quick visit the following morning. We are short on cash and had already checked what the average cost of sewage line replacement was and the various options available. We discussed whether I could dig the trench and have them remove and replace the line. Was given a very nice quote on the understanding that I do a good job digging to their specifications. It took me all my spare time over a few days. Again, Mike was excellent. I didn't have to chase him or even ask. He called one morning and stopped by in between jobs to check my progress. He estimated when I would be done. Did a follow up visit the day before and saw I had pretty much finished. When I was done and gave him a call, he had already penciled us in for the following morning. Mike is punctual and, on all occasions, came exactly when he said he would. To install the new sewer line, he brought his work partner of 25 years Carlos. They are good buddies and between them did all the work quickly and competently.
