We needed to replace our septic system and quickly learned that there were few options for contractors in the area that offered full system work like we needed. Those that were around were inundated with work. It took a few tries to get Dirk to come out (he's busy), but we're glad we were persistent. A few things you should know.... He's a no frills guy. I have used septic tank pumping services from many companies in the past 25 years (once every 3 years). I never have experienced such disgusting services as with this company. All the past companies had told me my septic tank capacity is 750 gallons. This RS, when we talked on the phone, agreed that their fee is $450. They showed up 2 hours late, then after pumping, told me that my tank is bigger than 750 gallons and wanted to charge me $650. When I said no to their demand, the serviceman started cursing and said the F word to me many times and was extremely rude as well as violent to the point that I was about to call 911. This is not what I expected from these good reviews in this forum. He demanded cash (I paid cash) and he drove off without providing me a receipt. I would never recommend this RS to anyone. We had a dreaded septic situation arise over Thanksgiving. We have two septic tanks on our property and one was causing our in-law house sewage backup. We called Dirk on "Black Friday" and he was out within a couple of hours to help inspect. We couldn't find the tank lids since they were under dirt, but Dirk provided us with a lot of advise and my husband started digging. Negative: Really poor customer service. Did not show up on time x2. Called to say my check didnt go through, gave him Credit card over phone. He charged me an extra $25 with no permission or receipt, stating my tank was fuller than normal and he dug out a hole for me. He never called to discuss these concerns for increase charge. When questioned, he was sarcastic and rude; it was his banks mistake, not mine. Doesnt even look like tank was emptied. He stated fuller than normal. Never told me he wasnt able to fully empty. I called Sunday and Dirk (the owner) said he could be out Monday afternoon. He was there on time Monday. Our septic clean out was very hard to find, one of the 2 lids was buried 4 ft deep.
