Curt's Pumping & Septic - Annie, Curt, & Jason did an outstanding job on a system that had never been pumped since its installation!

Curt's Pumping & Septic

I have waited about 4 months to write this review, and I am glad that I did not write a flaming…read morereview at the time of service. I had used Curt's Septic once before, and would use them again. Back in July, my house was in the final days of escrow, and we needed to have the septic emptied and inspected. All went fine until the gentleman performed the flow test, which failed. The gentleman (I wish I could remember his name) was professional and reran the test to show me that there was a problem, which he described as a "failing system". He then explained that in West Sacramento we may not be able to have the field repaired, and may, worst case scenario, be required to install an above ground septic tank. This would have made the property unsellable. For a very long week, until we could get a plumber out to take a look, we were STRESSED about our house sale falling through. The plumber scoped the system, and found that the distribution box old and required replacement. The repair was $1500, and was completed in a couple hours. Two days later, escrow closed, and the home sold. For the work that was done, I would give 5 stars, all day long. The gentleman was a little late, but he called to tell us he was delayed. He was personable, and cheerfully performed what most people would describe as terrible work and he gave us good service. My three star review is a reflection of the terrible week we spent afterwards. Had he simply reported the findings and recommended we get an estimate for repairs, we would have been much happier customers.

We had an unexpected overflow of our septic tank and Chuck's Septic was able to help us the next…read moreday. The service tech was very good, though curiously expressed that he disliked septic systems. It was more funny than it was bad. We have a difficult property on steep land. He worked hard and worked efficiently. We paid $200 for the extra service of running an endoscopic camera with detector to find our D-box and it was very helpful. The backup in the septic was bad enough that we had solids in the line to the drain field: so finding the d-box and opening up allowed us to run a hose down the line and then remove the solids from the D-box and confirmed that the drain field was flowing. Great job. The service tech offered further work that we could definitely use, but we have too many home repairs to add anything that isn't 100% necessary. Otherwise, I would be inclined to hire Chuck's Septic to help us install new risers or other more complex work. For basic pumping and endoscopic tracing, strongly recommended. Tell them ahead of time you might need the camera since they don't always have the equipment charged and ready. Also, they schedule their time based on how long they think the task might take. We were very happy that our service tech was willing to spend an extra 20 minutes with us past what was scheduled. Thanks ChucksSeptic!

I first hired EPP for a new toilet installation a year ago, when we had just moved to Roseville. I…read morechose them because of the solid Yelp reviews. They did a great job at a fair price, and I was happy at the time to add the $99 additional charge for their one-year maintenance agreement. That small charge entitles you to preferred pricing, as well as an annual hot water heater flush, and general waterline inspection. I had actually forgotten about it, but then I received a call from them a few days ago saying I should schedule the water heater flush and line inspection, which was included with the maintenance ageement I had already paid for. Right on schedule, Jonathan showed up today to do the annual flush and inspection. He was an exceptionally nice fellow, and he thoroughly explained everything he was doing. And, by renewing my maintenance agreement today while I was still covered under last year's agreement, I was purchasing a full three years of additional coverage for a total of $100, which I think is a terrific deal. Even if we only use EPP for the annual hot water heater flush and inspection, we are way ahead of the game. It can often be stressful dealing with contractors of all kinds who service your home, and so it's a relief to find an honest and fair contractor you know you can trust to do excellent work at a reasonable price. EPP is definitely an honest and fair plumbing contractor, and I have no problem recommending them.

Everything was taken care of promptly and as estimated . When dealing with a septic issue it is very stressful - you definitely want to have someone that Knows what they're doing and has all the proper equipment the guy comes prepared.

That was what I was told in person, my daughter was on the phone. There was no specification of what line was being cleared, no specification that there was any stipulations on the refund. The guy simply said if it doesn't work I won't charge no small print disclosed. My toliet worked but all the sewage was backed into my bathtub( see picture). Thats what was in my bathroom when he finished. Doesn't look clear to me, now I am no plumber or septic pro, but come on. They offered a good faith refund of 100. I'm confused they said if it didn't work it would be a 250 refund not 100. Do not use! Do not recommend! Rip off!!! Zero stars. If you are not a plumber then you should not say I will clear the line for an additional 250 and if it doesn't work I won't charge you. The right thing to do would be to say you need a regular plumber if you couldn't do what I needed. Not charge me almost 1000 dollars to not fix the problem I wanted addressed. We talked on the phone also got bombarded by you and your wife via text. There is nothing more to talk about maybe you will be better and more clear and concise or just do the right thing and refund the 250.
