I have reviewed G&C previously but just had them dig some dry wells for us and once again they did a fantastic job. They were professional, timely, courteous, and on budget. Israel was back along with Daniel and Richard. A few more miscommunications from the CSRs again (G&C's only weakness) but the guys on the ground straightened everything out. read more

Well today I lost all respect for this company. Always thought they were the go to company in the area and now I have been burned by they 1 too many times. Last year we were buying a new house and I had our realtor use these people to pump and inspect the septic system. When they completed their work they sent the report over. No one caught that the front office over there sent the wrong report and it took me reviewing docs to realize they just about cost us an entire new system at our expense. The correct report said the system failed and we almost signed off on the repairs portion of the house contract. When we finally got the report they called for almost $18k worth of repairs. The seller and us got 2 other inspections and bids with G and C being $6k and $7k more expensive than the others. Glad we dogged a bullet on that one after we almost got screwed because of their error. Now I'm not sure why I gave them another chance but almost 2 weeks ago I called to schedule a septic pumping and wanted to see the condition after 1 year to make sure our family is doing the right things etc. Told they would call the day before. Never received the call so today I called in at 8am for our 10am appointment. Was told they called everyone and confirmed appointments for the next day. I said no, never called me. The office lady said yeah, I called you and who ever answered the phone said they never scheduled a septic pumping. At what point you think what is the issue here. They took me out of the calendar and when I called they said I turned down the service. Lady, you never called me. It's my personal cell phone and you never called and spoke to me. You clearly dialed the wrong number and of course that person didn't need their septic pumped but I it. She then called and said the next appointment wouldn't be till next week. Clearly the office staff at this company are flat out incompetent and need to be replaced. With the issue last year receiving the wrong report and today, they clearly shouldn't be employed. Will NEVER use these folks again and will definitely spread the word about their incompetence that almost cost me $18k last year and the pumping issue this year. Steer clear and go with a better company. read more

Great job on the septic work and thank you guys all did. Very personable and reasonable.

This company had been my go to for all my septic needs. Shawn was knowledgeable and professional. He has sold this cpany a few years back. I contacted this company knowing I needed to have pipes replaced. Shawn had told me they were collapsing. It has now been 4 weeks and no quote. I called a week after quote was told. Oh person that does quotes is busy. He will get to you. I have since had it repaired by another company who actually wanted the job and will be my go to. Never again. List my business. read more

Last week, I called to request G & C to come out & locate our tank & pump it out. Even though the holidays are right around the corner, they were still able to get me on their schedule right away. The two gals who answered the phones were very professional, friendly, returned my calls immediately, and were very knowledgeable & thorough when explaining the services. They searched the Sac County property records for past permits that had been filed at our address. They communicated with me quickly when the guys on the truck were coming out to our property. The guys on the truck were very nice, respectful of our property, located our tank quickly, & did a great job. I love that G & C is a local company and have been in business for several decades. 10/10, highly recommend. read more

I first called this company and they suggested another company as they didn't cover where I lived. The other company did a great job and I have to respect this company for their honesty and great recommendation. Thank you. read more

I've used G&C for pumping out my septic system with good service throughout. Recently in December we started having a back up issue with our system. Needless to say the roots and age of the system required new pits. We obtained multiple Bids and found G&C to be competeive in the process. Unfortunately this has been an extremely wet year and we're not able to install the required pits until April. This required us to have our tank pumped almost every month through April. G&C worked with us through the process. Once started the team worked with us to answer all of our questions about the project. Once started they were respectful of our property and as non-invasive as you can be with landscaping given the trenching needed to complete the job. Once completed they left the property as I had requested such that any repairs on part were very minimal. The crew was easy to work with and communicated as the project was completed. A very good experience I highly recommend them. read more

After 22 years we needed the septic pumped. Had an idea where septic was but not marked. Rich the man in charge spent a bit of time to help locate the tank. We had a plot plan provided by G and C that county had on permit. So start the digging he did. 28 inches deep he found the handle and wasn't off his mark more than 4 inches on center. I called one time and scheduled an appointment. Rich was right spot on the time they said. I would highly recommend this business for your septic needs. Very professional and on time. read more

G&C have an excellent reputation in rural Wilton. As a rental property mamager, they are my go-to for septic. Their fees are competitive and their service is very professional and courteous. They are quick to advise me of any issues which may need to be addressed, such as an invasion of tree roots in a tank or impacted leach line. They have specialists who can address unusual problems like that. I have always been happy over the years with the service to the four tanks on rural properties I manage in the area! It's a "dirty job" and they are the pros to handle it well. read more

I chose this company because of the positive reviews they've received on Yelp. Finding my septic tank was not easy and Jon worked so hard to find it. Our experience with G&C was extremely pleasant. We had our septic serviced for the first time today and despite having relatively deep lids, the G&C team got the job done with exceptional professionalism. Trent and his team also installed risers for us per our request and pricing was more than fair. From the front desk to the onsite technicians, this service provider is operating at the highest level and should be considered your number one choice for septic service. read more

Great service and my technician Mr. Ken was very knowledgeable. Which was good news seeing as septic problems can become big headache if left unnoticed. He gave me some pointers to witch out for to keep my system up and running for for more years forbore the big fix comes around. Thanks agin G&C keep up the good work! read more

Awesome work, with fast response. Very nice and respectful. I would and will continue to recommend this company.

Our experience today with G&C was wonderful! What went from a gurgle, to a full blown sewage backup, and back was thoroughly checked and rechecked by the great tech that came out on a "soon as possible" and very prompt basis today! He went above and beyond to make sure we understood the issues we were having, and explained to us (totally septic tank rookies) how the whole thing worked! We will for sure be repeat customers if the need arrises and of course for our regular maintenance! read more

Terrible customer service, I called them for an appointment but they could schedule it at that time and said they would call back. Never got a call back, so I called them again a couple weeks later. They didn't have an appointment available for a week so we scheduled the appointment for 3 weeks out. I was told everything is confirmed and we are ready to go The day of the appointment they didn't show when I called they said we have no record of your appointment and they couldn't accommodate me until the following week. They made no effort to rectify the situation or help find a solution. read more

I usually hate to write negative reviews but these guys are totally unprofessional. I called them and explained the problem that I'm not sure about the septic tank location since I'm a new owner. I was assured that it's not an issue since they have a gps device. To make a long story short they came 3 times and were not able to do the job cleaning the septic tank. First time the guy came without gps device and just left. Second time, they used gps and located the tank and told me they can not dig it because the grounds are too hard. Then they came the third time with the shovel and left after 10 minutes because it was still too hard for them to dig!! No solution was offered and I have to call the other company who immediately offered me a solution. I would not recommend this company unless you want to waste your time and money. UPDATE to my review from 1/26/2021 Today, one of the owners personally called me and apologized for the negative experience I had with this company. He refunded me money in full (even though I haven't asked for it!) and personally brought a small gift. He also assured me that they have reviewed my complaint and it will never happened again. I was pleasantly surprised with this nice gesture and will give this company another chance in a future! Great customer service, G&C Septic Tank Service!!!!! 5 stars for your customers appreciation! read more

Im running a load of wash when I hear gurgling from the toilets down the hall. My heart stopped and I ran down the haul as visions of overflowing toilets fill my head. Weirdly the toilets were slowly draining I gave a quick call to my dad for any insights as he has more experience with septic issues than myself. He came over and observed the same weird, bubbling toilet action when my washer drained water again. We both headed out behind the house to the clean-out just as water starts to bubble out of it from the draining washing machine. A quick text to our landlord and he had G&C on their way out. Thirty minutes later the truck was here and pulling the lids off the septic. Liquid side looked fine, solid side... well the solid side needed to be pumped but there was also a mass of roots in and around the pipe feeding from the house. It's amazing we didn't have problems sooner with clogged pipes! A second truck was called out that had tools to cut through the roots. They removed the roots, cleaned the septic out spic and span (for a septic tank) and also gave some insight into where the dry wells were located, they were re-dug before I lived here and I wasn't sure where they lay. They pointed out some potential problems with trees near the dry wells and suggested some things to deter roots from causing issues. Before they left they even screwed down the plastic lids over the septic lids that were loose previously. A little added peace of mind when my kids are out and about. I'm very pleased with their service and the speed with which they arrived. Thanks G&C! read more

We had the best service today, we really appreciate them taking the time to explain everything that was happening. They are super duper pooper scooper, like their sign says on the truck. Highly recommend. These bro's do have some bad reviews, cause the old owners had some not so great employees, but now it's owned by Mr. Hoskins. Mr. Hoskins has some mighty great and polite employees. read more

What a great business. Called one day, they made the appointment for the next day with an estimated time of arrival. I received a call from Ken with his eta and he was right on time. Professional and courteous, educated me on our system and took care of business. Ken has a great sense of humor and did a fantastic job. Gave me suggestions as to when to check the system again. This was the only place I called that actually answered the phone, and made an appointment all in one step. I highly recommend them. Thank you very much. read more

The driver of the pump truck that came to my house was so rude, and so insolent, that I sent him packing within minutes of his arrival. He wouldn't have dared speak in such a way to a man, because if he had, he would have gotten his teeth knocked in. Unbelievable. Inexcusable. Why would an employee of a service company think that it is perfectly OK to treat a paying customer in such an insolent manner? Apparently he knows that he can behave that way with impunity. Can you think of a different explanation? Update: The question has been answered. The owner of the company called and took me to task for leaving an irate message on their answering machine. So... Draw your own conclusions. read more

I just received a flyer that I'm due for service and it brought up a terrible experience I had with this company. I called for septic pumping and attempted to dig access myself with my two children. I'm a single mother and very strapped for cash. We worked for 2 1/2 days digging the holes. We couldn't quite find the entry but we had no idea how close we were. The technicians came out and had to break ground about two shovel fulls each tank. It took them less than a minute per hole. I was alarmed and dismayed when I got my bill and realized they charged me full price for digging those holes. I tried to call the office to appeal to their humanity and plead my case as a single mother who is barely getting by please not to charge full price especially since we did most of the work already. They stated if we dug we charge full price. I will never do business with this company again and I implore you not to support such cold callousness. I found my original post from my experience. I removed the curse words. I'll be posting this again. I forgot they sent me to collections. This company is evil. G&C Septic Service blows. First, they told me they charge $50 a hole to even get to the septic, so my son and I dug for an entire day but didn't expose the doors completely so they had to dig for less than 10 min and they still charged me $100 extra then the guy said his credit card reader wouldn't work so could I call the office which I tried to do several times to give my credit card info. I left messages, no one ever called me back. Then they send an invoice so I can send a check, I need to pay by credit card, I don't have the money, that's why I asked them if they take credit when I scheduled this. Now they are sending another invoice with finance charges and late charges saying they are sending me to collections. I tried several times to pay them. Including when the guy was here. I hate this business. May they go bankrupt. read more
