This Sephora needs a revamp with its employees. I walked in yesterday ready to look for a new foundation, waited for about 5 minutes looked around found a few that I wanted to try and waited a little bit more as employees walked by me never asking if I needed help. When I get frustrated and walk over to where they are all standing all they are doing is gossiping and on their phone it just upsets me so I put everything down and walk out.. since when did it become acceptable for employees to get paid to just be on their phones and talking about personal issues?? It's ridiculous. Management needs to take a look at its employees and see that there's a lot missing from their customer service training and just because you look nice doesn't mean you're going to sell product! read more

Love Sephora. Hate this location. I have been a VIBR for years. Came in during the recent rouge sale to purchase some products. Spent my time finding the products and was helped by several sales associates. When I went to check out, I had to wait in a long line. When I finally made it to the cashier counter, I was denied the rouge discount. I asked why and did not get a cogent answer. The cashier somehow got it in her head that I was running a scam of some sort. She loudly denied the discount and tried to humiliate me. She was extremely obnoxious and seemed like she "was trying to make an example of me." I was so shocked that I left everything at the counter and left the store. I then drove to the MB location and purchased everything with the discount there. Since I know the manager at the del amo location, I called to file a complaint. The manager reviewed the store security footage and saw how the cashier treated me. She felt so bad that she offered me multiple perks just to come back to the store. Great customer service and the best return policy as far as cosmetics go. As long as you don't abuse it and genuinely make a return when you are disappointed with a product then it works perfectly! Although, I am rarely disappointed because the attendants always assist in trying on any and all products before I make my final purchase. But one day I called to ask what time they closed and some guy answered the phone and I asked if it was Sephora in Del amo and he kept asking me what number I called so I read the number that I got through yelp and he said that I am calling that number. I said I got it through yelp and it's listed as Sephora makeup store and I felt he was about yell at me and I hung up before he could start. It was really weird. Other than that this location has two Sephora's! One in the mall by the body shop and Macy's and the other is downstairs in jcpenny. Sarah is fantastic! She was able to help me find a good color correcting primer as well as a really good contour and highlight combo from stila! She showed me how to apply it and have excellent pointers so I don't walk around looking like a blind clown did my makeup. Main reason I'm giving this location 5 stars is because of one of the managers named Sarah! I came to her with a return issue that I thought would be so difficult and she made it as simple as ABC 123 okurrrrrr!!! She was absolutely amazing took care of me quickly and accurately! And I went in very close to closing time and she didn't have an attitude like most or try to rush me out the door! She made sure I was absolutely Satisfied with my purchase. Came in the other day looking for foundation. Two people asked if I needed any help and I eventually asked one of them since the other one was occupied with someone else. Sonia was really sweet and helped me find my foundation with ease. She tested it on and matched my face and neck perfectly. She gave me some tips on what to do when applying it on since I never really wear makeup. Maybe it's just a hit or miss with the staff that help you, but I never had a problem coming in. read more

What a disappointment! I came to Sephora to browse and check out their new products and ended up in the fragrance department. I found a really nice scent that I wanted to test out so I asked a sales associate for a sample. Man was I in for a surprise cuz what I got back could hardly be considered a sample... I probably produce more liquid through my tears when I sneeze! I mean, why even bother giving out samples in the first place if you're going to be that stingy? Also, if you want to give out less, then maybe consider making your bottles SMALLER!! I feel like the quality of their customer service goes down every time I visit, which is why I prefer to take my business elsewhere. So I walked into the store looking lost as usual( when it comes to makeup)and this young girl walked up and offered some assistance. Her name was Maggie!!! She was amazing. She did an facial iq on me to match my skin tone for foundation and concealers. She showed me how to apply it and walked me to the lip color aisle and helped me there as well. She gave me some hair tips for natural curly hair and showed me the products they carry and even gave me a sample. She was very informative. (Not the one inside Macy's) I asked for an item check in two specific shades for fenty beauty. 350 and 370 And immediately without any hesitation the lady on the phone said "we're out of all of the darker shades." I go inside of the store to return the one I already had. By then it was no more than a hour and a half later. And they were fully stocked in both shades, for us darker shade people. read more

I think it's funny how the associates at the registers are the only people who help me when I come into this store. When I enter they have people working the floor but I have never had one come up to me and ask if I needed any assistance. My friend thought I was kidding but one day I walked in with him & said,"Watch, I bet you $20 that no one will help me on the floor." Customer Service in store was exceptional but when they went to send me a foundation that was out of stock it became a nightmare. I have yet to receive the foundation or to get a refund and they claim everything was resolved. Should I not hear from them soon I will have to take further action. A waist of my time. Below is what I emailed them. BTW, live chat only works occasionally and they don't pick up the phone from their warehouse. I am very upset! I ordered foundation on September 6. I live on the bottom floor of the house. The product was not delivered. It was sent back to the store Sept 12. I chatted online to let them know my situation on on September 14. They told me I needed to contact the shipping company. Since it was sent back to the store the shipping company has nothing to do with it. I later sent an email only to be told that my issue had been resolved. It is September 19th. I have not seen the product. Nothing was resolved. I have not been refunded. Since shipping is an issue. Please refund my money. You can have the foundation put on hold at SouthCoast plaza. Order 7180996797 A copy of this is being issued to Yelp. If it is not resolved by Sunday, September 24th I will contact the better business bureau read more

Yesterday felt like I was more at a MAC store with all the attitude from the employees. Very stuck up. The only ones with great attitude were the ones dealing with the customers the most. The cashiers and the greeter. Yes it was busy but the workers that were walking around had a stank ass face and when they did see you, didn't bother to ask if you needed anything. One lady did ask me but she didn't even seem genuinely interested if I was going to say yes or no. Just asking me to ask and not really want to help. Horrible. Soooo I have to leave a review on behalf on my experience with Kate at the Sephora store in Del Amo Mall yesterday. I had an altercation with someone that caused me take a day off because my appearance was not presentable for a work place...meaning, I had few marks on my face from a fight. My sister convinced me out to eat at the mall and I was walking around self consciously because on markings. I had no wallet or any intentions of shopping yesterday. We happened to hesitantly walk in sephora and I just knew someone was going to ask if we needed assistance and sure enough, Kate introduced herself. Not once did she look up, down, or around my face and wonder what happened to me. She gave me straight eye contact sooo gracefully! Instead of saying no I don't need any assistance, I engaged because she felt sincere. This kind patient young lady helped me back to my natural state and beautified me. She gave me confidence and encouragement to go back to work and just go back to being through all my struggles that I'm dealing with! She made my day! I had a bad experience. Not totally because the products are great. But it was so busy. It was so busy that whoever was in charge wasn't getting how to get things moving faster. The ladies walking around asking if we needed help seemed so unhappy that they had to ask if I needed help. Yes I needed help! I had a list of things I needed. I had one girl help me then she was quick to walk away so she can stand around . So another lady asked me and I said yes . I wanted a tarte brush but the one for display was missing. She took one out the box and showed me. I brushed it against the back of my hand to feel the bristles and she said no no no and took it back put it back and walked away. ???? Okay???? Now that I finally have everything I get in a line about 20 person deep. Maybe more. Okay whatever I thought. It moved slow. I was very close to abandoning my basket. I finally got to the register ...the product I was given by one of the ladies was a tester???? So I waited for someone to get me a new one. Took a long time. In the end I bought over $300 worth of product . Every time I go in I never spend under $100 . Anyways I don't think I'll be coming back to this one. read more

Decent store, plenty of products to choose from and very clean. I'm a huge makeup girl so when I go into a makeup store I know exactly what I'm looking for and from what brands so I usually don't need any help. I struggled between giving this store 3 or 4 stars for the main reason that when I came in they didn't sell anything that I was looking for. I came in specifically looking for the YSL brand, and for the Anastasia Beverly Hills matte liquid lipstick. They unfortunately don't sell YSL in this particular store, and for some reason didn't sell a lot of the Anastasia brand either. read more

Eh.. I came here to return my Anastasia matte lipstick and was walking around. I wanted a gloss instead and a woman had helped me find one in the Anastasia section. I noticed that they had the perfect brown gloss shade in Anastasia. It was going well until I realized there were no more left on display. First of all, I came here at 10:15 and the mall opens at 10 am. You guys should have majority of your shit out on display. Second, I asked the nearest worker if they have the gloss (sepia) in stock. Automatically, he said no there's no more left.. without checking the drawer... bitch. Had to search for the first lady who helped me and she was able to open the drawer and hand me the gloss.
