Even though they were out of stock, I got lucky on my last visit; the associate assisting me got on the phone to have my item shipped to me for free because they were out of stock. Now that's service! If you have found an item you are not sure about, you can test and sample almost anything they sell. If you are interested in a perfume or cologne, they will give you a small test sample to take home to make sure you still like it a day or two later (have you ever bought an expensive perfume only to have it make you nauseous a few hours later?). Alpine Village Cosmetics is on the other end of the Alpine Village, away from the Market. It's near the other smaller shops, such as the toy store, bookstore (which seems to now be closed), antique places, and a shoe store. Alpine Village Cosmetics is a good-sized shop with a lot of products concentrating on bath items (e.g., soap, shampoo, deodorant, hand soap, lotions, etc.), with some candies/mints, too. Eleonore kindly greeted us when we walked in, and offered any assistance if we had questions. Super-helpful when we had questions, and provided suggestions based on products that we picked out. We actually found this place by looking up on where Nivea is sold, and bought several other German-based products to try out.
