How the mighty have fallen. Save yourself the trouble and shop online. I think customers with some loyalty get free shipping, as do orders that hit a cost minimum. I've come in here a couple times to grab a go-to product and at least half the time, they don't have it. They have a really limited selection and it's mostly Sephora brand stuff now, which isn't super reliable. Kind of a dirty location, too. read more

I've been to this Sephora a few times and the first few times weren't bad. My most recent visit today, however, was one of the worst Sephora experiences I've had. It was very busy when I went since it was a Saturday during one of their semiannual sales. Many items were out of stock and testers that were available were messy. Typically when I visit Sephora at least one employee will greet me and ask if I need help. I usually don't need help but I always appreciate the offer. Figures that the one time I needed employee assistance it was difficult to get. Despite how busy it was, several employees were standing around chatting amongst themselves. The employee who eventually helped me did the bare minimum and seemed to want to be done with me as soon as possible. She stared at me without saying anything until I asked for help finding a foundation shade. They were out of stock of my shade despite the Sephora app saying otherwise. In my past Sephora experiences, whenever an item I've wanted has been out of stock, an employee would offer me an alternative product, a product sample, and/or offer to order the product for me, but this employee did none of that. However even if they weren't out of stock, I think I would have opted to buy online anyway given how long the line was and the lackluster customer service. I'll stick to other Sephora locations or shop online in the future. read more

Brow Wiz's, and was basing the colors I wanted on the same colir name in other products because there were no testers. Then I couldn't find the colors I wanted even though I went through all the disorganized ones on display. So I looked in the drawer down below qnd found one of the two. An employee told me they "couldn't have me going through the drawer." In that case, put the stuff up where people can find it! I also told two people there were no testers for some of the colors. You would think they would do something about that. The whole point of Sephora is that you can test things. But no, this did not occur to them. Too much work? This location is great but when I went to find the stuff I want to get they didn't have it, so I had to order it online. Me and my son was in the area so I just decided to drop by after a Black Friday so might be the reason why they don't have it in stock. transactions are pretty quick here for the most part. sometimes the line can get too long but they move at a reasonable amount of time so you will get to the front in no time. They got a lot of selection and samples of perfume and other hair products which I love. Would love to go back when I get the chance to visit the area again read more

I have been a happy Sephora shopper for many years and I have shopped in many of them. The Assembly Row location is the worst Sephora I have ever been in. I don't know why I keep going there, perhaps I am hoping it will get better. It is small and the selection of goods is not huge and I would say half the time I go in they are out of what I want. There are many staff members working and they are most unhelpful. There is no shortage of staff and they are bothered when asked to check stock and spend lots of their time putting on makeup. Their samples often run out so too bad if you were interested in a lipstick color, they won't open a new one for you. It is also filthy. I don't know the last time the perfume bottles were wiped down. If I could give it negative stars I would. Overall I love Sephora and I love the experience of shopping in store. Sadly this particular location is not one of them. read more

Employees here are so rude. I can hear on Tuesday Sept 25th. The employee open the door 10a for 2 employees, locked the door in my face, then came back 30 seconds later and unlocked it. She didn't bother to open the door or say hi, just unlocked it. Tell me that you hate your job without telling me you hate your job. Management needs to reevaluate this type of behavior. read more

This Sephora makes my skin crawl. I have a lot more photos and alerted customer service, they said a manager would follow up. It's still bad where the associates do not offer samples or swatching. The testers are broken and always trash like used cotton balls on display shelves. read more

Obviously this is not a reflection of the company overall. But I really do not enjoy going into this location. Fully staffed, and not a single customer in the store besides myself and no one spoke to me. Every employee seems to look the other way when I walked by. When I was checking out I put my items on the counter and the employee just stared at me and the belongings... I've been here a couple times and have never enjoyed my experience. This has got to be the worst Sephora there is. I've now had three (out of three) truly terrible experiences there and will not be returning. This last time every single person was hanging around the register area laughing and chatting with each other. I was trying to wave them down with a smile and someone saw me but continued laughing at the story she was being told while ignoring me, with dead straight eye contact. Then finally someone helped but in the middle of doing something for me got distracted and started helping another customer. She was legit in the middle of ordering me something and completely saw something shiny... while I was standing right there. After a few min of awkwardly standing right there hovering and waiting, it became apparent that she was not going to come back to finish what she was in the middle of with me. I ultimately just went to the register and got terrible service from someone else. Sadly this is the closest and most convenient location to my home... I guess I'll just stick with online ordering. read more

Sorry for the long back story! I went in today with my 10 year old and by 10 month old. My 10 year old was helping with the baby rocking him in his stroller and it turned and fell. The baby was strapped so he was totally fine. One of the girls that works there came over and scolded my son which I wasn't very fond of but brushed it off because maybe she was just concerned for the baby. She did ask me twice if the baby was fine and I said yes. She then walked away but my friend her say "this is why you don't come with kids to Sephora". She continued to giggle and talk with other staff while looking our way until my friend stared her down. Horrible experience honestly. read more

Not gay friendly at all. I went in as a man looking for a blush. No one greeted me or my husband. A blonde woman walked by me asking all the woman in my vicinity if they needed help, but completely ignored me although I was clearly shopping for products. When I flagged her down to ask for assistance, she immediately looked annoyed and gave me attitude. She said I couldn't have a sample because they only did samples of pumped products. Seemed reasonable enough besides her tone. After she walked away, I decided to buy the displayed product. When I again flagged her down to let her know that I wished to purchase it, she snapped back "you have to take it to the register." I calmly asked her where it was since it was a display item, to which she replied "it's either on the table or (over there somewhere)." At this point, I just left. It was clear that she did not want my business, and I was feeling really uncomfortable with the homophobia. I was shocked to be treated so poorly at this Sephora location. I won't return here, and recommend that other members of the LGBTQAI community go elsewhere. read more

I love going to this Sephora location. The first time I went I had a makeover with Myah. She gave me a great look and taught me how to apply the makeup. Later I had to return because I'd lost one of the items I'd purchased. The staff remembered me and was able to look up all the makeup that Myah had recommended for me. Sephora is expensive but totally worth it, and the team at this location is GREAT. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!! I went to this Sephora on Friday for a color match for a concealer. The woman who was assisting me was absolutely clueless. After testing over 10 shades from three different concealers directly under my eyeball, she told me I should try a different location. Even worse, I woke up this morning with a Stye :( I am very very upset and absolutely will never come back here. The treatment/service I received was horrendous. I visited twice during the recent semi-annual sale. On the first visit (store was not crowed, even though Rouge sale) there were clusters of staff chatting. I took it upon myself to turn on a lighted mirror to attempt a foundation shade match. Too dark.. as I was walking back to get another, a rude employee barked "are you finished with that mirror - TURN IT OFF" I said no... she barked again, well, turn it off when you're done - nasty tone. She went back to personal chatter. She was 5 feet from the mirror. Next day, decide to go back to get additional items. She (same girl) rung me up for 550.00. I politely asked if that included the sale discount? She barked YOU NEED TO REQUEST THE DISCOUNT! I said I gave you my phone number and you looked up my account - told me my points, etc.. The person the previous day applied it after I provided phone number. THAT employee said nicely "oh I see you are rouge, you get 20% off" She again barked, YOU NEED TO TELL US (condescending, rude tone). I can honestly say in all my years of retail shopping, I've never encountered such a rude, condescending salesperson. Will never ever go back, oh except to return the items I purchased.... read more

I was delighted to see this location while out and about at Assembly Row yesterday!! I was even happier to work with Alec, who found my perfect shade or foundation AND lip gloss on his first try!!! So far the nicest Sephora store I have been to in a while. Compared to other Sephora stores I have visited recently this one had the most products available in store. And the staff was nice and helpful! I read some reviews on Yelp prior my visit which were completely opposite to what I experienced. I would definitely recommend this Sephora store! read more
