I'd been here once before and had a subpar experience but decided to give it another try, which I highly regret. My technician Thanh (Cathy) went from texting during my pedicure to full on FaceTiming the entire time. There's nothing more awkward and uncomfortable than seeing someone on a phone watch you get a pedicure. I wanted to say something but Thanh barely acknowledged me in the room making it uncomfortable to speak up. The sanitary practices are also highly questionable as Thanh was coughing and sneezing the entire time without a mask and soon started just coughing/sneezing mid FaceTime conversation on my legs. When the pedicure was done she just took the towel she was sitting on to wipe down my feet and quickly usher me for my manicure. The towl for the manicure also had nail clippings from a previous client that I noticed right when I sat down. The manicure did not get much better as I was never asked what shape I wanted and when I did speak up to ask for my nails to be filed or them to all be shaped the same since they were not, I was met with silence. The texting continued though a bit less since we were sitting closer to the front desk. At the end I tried to dry my nails a little longer and she unplugged the nail dryer saying all done, got up, and left. This was by far the worst experience I had getting my nails done. Given the price and the fact that I made reservations well in advance, I was treated like an inconvenience the entire time. I've consistently had a good experience with gel manicures here, over the last year or so. I like how gentle and detailed they seem with cuticle care. I had a great experience getting a French gel mani too. A lot of attention was paid to making sure it was done right after seeing the inspo photo. Told manicurist I wanted short, square nails, which also wasn't understood and she did whatever. The gel machine came out. I reiterated "no gel." Desk manager came out to translate and tried to tell me that gel lasted longer. I firmly said "no gel." My husband & I had appts for mani pedi on Thursday 8/10 @ 6:30. Arrived put us in pedi tubs my husbands tub water kept running out. Never got to soak his feet. Told both woman who were to do pedi's to put water in tub or move him! They did not understand 1 bit of english and continued to talk their language between themselves and continued his pedicure w/o a foot soak??? Upon checkout the manager pretended not to understand and would call us tomorrow after he spoke with technician???? Charged for a service which we did not receive! Got me in late morning in the middle of the week right away. Lots of color dip options. The chairs were comfortable but their stations could be updated. My nail technician was very precise and definitely was making sure it looked almost perfect. By afternoon I did notice a crack in my pinky which i'm not sure if it's my fault but I called and they got me in again to just cover more top liquid. I can't praise the team at Bliss Nails enough, especially David. I went in today on my lunch break for a full acrylic set and decided instead to go with Powder Dip. I'd had it in the past with mixed results, but David assured me I would like it and that if I didn't it was easy to remove. When I left the salon and went back to work, I found to my dismay that my nails were too long for me to function well at my job. I knew that as they grew over the next few weeks, it would be an even bigger issue. I reached out to the Bliss team on Facebook and they immediately responded asking what time I'd like to come back in. I suggested 4pm, assuming it was a stretch but worth asking. They immediately told me they would let David know to expect me at 4. I went in and David did an amazing job getting my nails down to the perfect length. I have been coming here for about a year now, I love the ambiance during pedicure. I love Kimmie and her work is phenomenal. The staff is sweet and no one ever rushes. They have tons of colors to choose from, I love the iPad check in method makes things run smoothly and efficiently. They are on top on following Covid guidelines and I feel safe going there. I have never had a hard time if I am unhappy with a color or something, I speak up and they fix it no questions asked. I have been going to Nails & Co in Peabody for about a year & LOVING the service I get there (25 min massage with the lights off), WHO does that?! Then I heard that Bliss was somehow related to Nails & Co so off I went for my lunch break last week as I was sold that now I dont have to drive all the way to Peabody... So I get in & had Tony (WHO I LOVE!!) and had the BEST pedi in a long time AND got the same 25 min massage... Will ONLY be going to Bliss moving forward, I mean really... Around the corner from my home & really close to work - I cant complain... Loved the service, loved the people... My only complaint - for someone like me who religiously gets a pedi every other week & likes to bounce from Light to Dark & vice versa the color selection was a LITTLE lacking... If I could give 0 stars I would I was in for a gel pedicure on Tuesday Nov 15th. My nail tech drilled off part of one toenail and left it partially intact thinking I wouldn't notice. Then acted surprised when I pointed it out. She then cut me twice, second time causing me to bleed so bad. She insisted on cleaning off the blood and still painting my nails. She was hurting me to the point that I tried to clean the blood off myself and wasn't successful. I was in so much pain and was still bleeding that I decided it wasn't safe for me to finish the pedicure and I was super worried about infection. I asked for a band aid which they were unable to provide. Kind of concerning that there isn't a first aid kit in the nail salon. Upon checkout I asked if there was something that could be done to compensate me for the horrible experience. The lady at the desk told me she would charge me for a regular pedicure instead of a gel pedicure (because I didn't make it to the polish part). I didn't feel like arguing my foot was in too much pain that I bit my tongue and paid when I shouldn't have paid a penny for that experience. This cut was so bad I was having to do wound care on it for over a week. I eventually said to myself this is ridiculous, I need to be compensated for this. It's been over a week and I still can't wear certain shoes, my toe is extremely sensitive. I have called FOUR times asking for the manager. First time was Nov 20th. I was told I would receive a call on Monday Nov 21st. That didn't happen so I called them on Nov 21st and was told that the manager is hard to get in touch with. So I called again on Nov 23 asking for the manager again. My number was taken down and I was told I would receive a phone call that same day. I never did. Every single person I spoke to gave me a different answer, one told me the manager is only in on the weekends. Something like this shouldn't have to be pushed off until the weekend. You should be able to reach the manager, ESPECIALLY in situations like this. Poor management if you ask me! That being said, I called again Nov 26th. Spoke to someone I have already spoken with who said he spoke with the manager but didn't say what she said???? He said he would call the manager again. I haven't heard anything back yet. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I figured this would get handled professionally and appropriately because it's bad business to get a review like this. I would've thought customer service and maintaining a good image was important. I guess not. I guess I'm just one in a million customers and my experience here did not matter. I tried the nice approach hoping it would get me further than being mean but I guess not. I've learned my lesson. Won't ever be coming back here! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I had an appointment for 10am and was told that my nail technician was running 2 minutes late. She ended up arriving 20 minutes late and didn't start doing my nails until 10:25am. The water that she had me soak my fingers in was cold. She rushed trimming my cuticles and left them in terrible condition. I asked the receptionist who was ringing me up at the end if I could have a 15% discount because my technician was 25 minutes late to my appointment. The receptionist told me they "don't do that" and that she couldn't offer me a discount. My whole experience at this Bliss Nails was horrible. The salon was dirty, unorganized, and the staff were not friendly. I have no idea how this place is still in business. read more

I love this place!!!! It was my first time going and I was a little skeptical since I was going in with a difficult nail art suggestion however I had amazing results! I got a dip powder manicure and at my previous place they always burnt me with the saw like machine but this was so much better! You could tell the technician cared and was not going to let me leave with a subpar manicure. I then got the nail art and even though my original tech gave up because she didn't think she was doing it the best another woman jumped right in and did amazing. The place is very clean and the techs were very nice and excited for the challenge. I am so happy with how they came out and will definitely come back when I need them redone. This is one of the best nail salons I've ever been to (and I've lived all over the US). Yes, it's a bit more expensive than other local salons BUT you get what you pay for and totally worth it. The salon is clean, welcoming and friendly. My absolute favorite part of coming here - and what I tell to any of my friends or strangers complimenting my nails- is the pedicure service. They do not rush through your pedicure and truly focus on your enjoyment and relaxation. PLUS, the FOOT/LEG MASSAGE is out of this world. There are days where my feet are killing me and I look forward to truly relaxing and being taken care of. It's not a two minute pat on the foot- it's like a ten minute deep rub. They even dim the lights a bit- it's a whole experience. LOVE this place!! All of the 1 star reviews confuse me to be honest. My standards are ridiculously high so I don't get it. The only thing they could do to really top it off would be to offer a glass of wine (lots of salons in Chicago do this, hint hint). read more

This is a review for the Brazilian wax. I've been getting waxed for 6+years and this was the worst waxing experience in my life. While the waxer was very nice, everything else was awful. 1. She was not a trained esthetician or cosmetologist. It must've been self-taught. She pulled the hair in random directions, wax got everywhere (on my hands and legs so it was so sticky), and many missed hairs (esp on more sensitive areas). 2. Every Brazilian wax is painful, but there was unnecessary discomfort like how aggressive wax was being applied in certain areas and manually plucking hairs incorrectly and incompletely. 3. The room set up is bad. If you are waiting on the table, when the waxer open the door to come in, your area is exposed to half a dozen people. 4. The wax being used looks like it's been out for days with crusty parts on the side of the container (I was the first appointment of the day) 5. They dipped the same stick into the wax after applying it on me the entire session! That is incredibly unsanitary. The only time she changed out a stick was when the first one broke. It was also these thin sticks, not the ones that should be used when waxing. If an establishment does not have the ability to adequately provide these services, then they shouldn't be offered. I have had bad waxing experiences but never to this degree where I wanted to leave mid-session. read more

I wish I could give this review 0 stars. This was my second time at Bliss Nails in Station Landing, first time went well. Second time has convinced me that I will no longer be returning. The nail technician pushed way too far into my cuticles in at least four of my fingers to the point that I was bleeding. I stupidly let that go.Then she only put one top clear coat on my left hand and not my right and when I told the desk clerk about this, she has the nerve to say that "my nails did not appear to be lacking a top coat on my right hand" and tried to cover it up by saying it was the lotion she put on my hands. Also, DO NOT LET THE 5 STAR comments distract you. The only reason why they are there is because this nail salon offers customers up to 15% off their services if they write "good" reviews on yelp. I went to Bliss yesterday for nail extensions and dip powder. The receptionist was very nice, the place was very clean and well maintained. The experience was alright. I requested a coffin shape, which he did really well-- the real issue came with the dip. When I left-- I had red sparkles magically appear on my right hand thumb to which I pointed out and he said is that okay? Well it's at the end of the service, and I didn't have time to stay longer so yeah it is what it is. But since I have left and examined my nails more closely, they have bubbles all over them (at least 5 total). Overall, would I go back-- yeah, BUT only if I had time to be very clear about my expectations with the nail tech. read more

The technician was cutting my skin and I was bleeding, not painting my full nail, and when i asked to cut my nails shorter she did not want to. The gel also was on my skin and it was not cleaned up, so now all of the gel is pealing off so it is chipping. Came for a fill - not only did it take 2 hours, but it was not done well at all. Was laughed at when I asked for a colored French tip (???) which was not only confusing but offensive. Prices are unreasonably high for the quality of service. No massage, cuticle care, or anything like that. My nail tech noticed that there was a small hair that was stuck in the last layer of polish, she scratched at it (obviously not getting it off) and said that I was all set. I've been here once for a pedicure and once for a manicure and both experiences were great. Friendly staff, relaxing environment, and very clean. Although I wish they weren't so expensive, you do get what you pay for. The tools they use always come out of a sealed sanitized bag, and cleanliness is a big factor for me when it comes to getting my nails done. I got a shellac manicure yesterday and it looks incredible, Nancy was very thorough and precise. I got a regular pedicure 3 weeks ago and it lasted around 40 minutes, including a nice foot and calf massage. It lasted two weeks without chipping. Love this place. UPDATE: Had to drop my rating from 5 star to 3, my shellac polish didn't even last a full week before begining to peel off. I will still continue to get my pedicures here because they last long and they give you a full treatment, but I will be going elsewhere for my manicures. read more

Just got my nails done today and I already felt so satisfying! My nails was really bad for almost like a month because of my stripped cuticle and they suggested me to do a new set of gel fill. What can I say? It was wonderful! It was Patricia who did a new set of gel powder on my nail. Seeing that my fingers are so small and sensitive, she ran the nail drill very soft and smooth. I also wanted a gel color on top so that it could last longer and Bee did a fantastic job. I usually get more than one colors on my nails so I picked a combination of sheer red, sparkle yellow and a nude color; surprisingly it turned out very well. I have to post the picture up here to show you guys how awesome they are. Although it took forever to finish but since I requested a design with rhinestones, it's worth it! The ambiance in Nails & co is like an oasis that somewhat takes you on a relaxing excursion (if your willing). There are dimly lit private rooms for pedicures allowing you to sink into your chair and enjoy the ride. The only thing I didn't really enjoy was trying to explain my stilleto nail shape to my technician. My nails require a point at the tip. She rounded them. I'm noticing that in Boston/Cambridge surrondings areas that nail tech's aren't always hip on the current fashion forward nail art/shapes. This often frustrates me. I have had a number of terrible experiences here at Bliss Nails in Station Landing. For the price I would expect superior service, which is not remotely close to what I've received each time I've come in. That being said, the quality of the manicure and pedicure does exceed that of other nearby salons which is why I've made a couple of attempts to give them my repeat business; however, after my experience Friday 1/5 I will never return here and I urge you all to consider as well. First, I came in for a gel manicure. Upon leaving I noticed that about 50% of my nails had bubbles in the manicures from low quality polish. I returned to the salon to get my nails redone for which there seemed to be no problem to do so. As the tech was removing the first manicure she did not let the gel soak for near long enough (probably 2 minutes) and proceeded to attempt to scrape it off with a cuticle pusher with extreme pressure. At first it did just feel like pressure until I washed my hands and noticed blood everywhere. I'm not talking a nicked cuticle - several of my fingers were profusely bleeding. Upon inspection I realized three of my fingers had deep lacerations to the skin next to the nails. The tech apologized and let someone else take over to whom I mentioned I wasn't completely comfortable having my nails painted with the cuts. Instead of risking the loss of business right then and there she put cotton and "bleeding stopper" (what? This is a nail salon, not a doctors office) to attempt to stop the bleeding and proceeded with the manicure. When everything was complete I was asked if I had paid already, which I had after the first attempt at the manicure. I took this as the manager would go ahead and refund me for the whole experience. Instead she said I was all set to go - indicating if I had not paid already she was still expecting a payment! The store manager came over and did reimburse me for the manicure but only after I had to ask twice. I shouldn't have had to ask at all in my opinion. Pictures are attached to this review which I took upon my arrival home and my fingers were still bleeding. I then had to wash the cuts to scrub out the cotton lodged inside the cuts as well as the "bleeding stopper" for fear of infection. The cuts are fairly deep and still extremely painful two days later. I caution everyone to think very carefully before giving your business to Bliss Nails. read more

I had a pretty good gel experience here my first time, about a month ago. Came back today to get a gel manicure removed and then new color applied. The tech e-filed (drilled) the gel off my nails (taking off a layer of my natural nails in the process) and also used the e-file on my cuticles. During the manicure, she managed to cut my cuticles three separate times (making me bleed), and my cuticles are still swollen and tender. The shape of my nails is uneven, and the chrome powder color is not the one I asked for. Additionally, the tech didn't let the top coat on one nail cure fully before wiping at it with a paper towel, so the texture of that nail is rough. I'm disappointed that I paid as much as I did for this manicure. If I'd wanted that level of damage to my cuticles and natural nails, I would've gone to the cheap local nail shop where they also damaged my natural nails drilling off gel polish, and paid significantly less for the indignity. I will not be returning and I'll be taking this gel polish off myself, without a drill and without harming my cuticles! read more

Today i had a horrible experience at Bliss Nails. I've been to Bliss Nails a dozen times before and had nothing but positive experiences and fantastic service. I am also the type of person that goes to the nail salons and goes to relax. I'm a very laid back person and usually go with the flow and trust the esthetician to make my nails look nice without any guidance from me. Today i went for a pedicure and a gel manicure. It was a young man who was going to do my nails. He took me to a chair to do a pedicure... first the water was freezing and when he asked "how the water was?" I told him it was a little cold... no big deal and easy fix. So in his attempt to warm it up he put the hose on scalding hot water and held it against my feet. Then the filter and bubbler wasn't working on the foot bath thing... so he tried to fix it while my feet were in the water. Again, No big deal except he was repeatedly banging the filter and fan causing all this nasty stuff to float in the water next to my feet and when i removes my feet and said the filter/fan looks pretty gross, he tried to get me to put my feet back in but i told him no. So he took me to another chair, but after a minute of him fumbling with how to cut my nails i said i would skip a pedicure today. I went on to do the gel manicure. I have long/ thick nails. First thing, He asked if i wanted to cut/trim my nails. I said yes. He then proceeded to cut my nails so short it hurt and i could see the soft pink tissue hanging out under my pinky and ring finger.. I didn't even let him touch my other hand. I felt so rude but honestly this place is sort of pricy and before i pay $70 for a mani and pedi i want to make sure it is a relaxing and positive experience, and not a chop shop. I asked for another person to do my nails and she was very nice but tried to cut my other nails so short to match the other ones and i was just too upset to deal with it. So i left with one hand that had my long nails and the other one looking like a 5 year old tried to cut my nails. I've now called another nail salon to see if they can try to fix my nails before the holidays. As i said before, I've been to Bliss many times before and had great experiences and i don't know what the heck happened but i have that guy touch my nails again. read more
