I am a VIB member and regularly make appointments for a custom makeover before big events. Today, I had a custom makeover from Jess at the Mall of Millenia Sephora location and was absolutely blown away. She was very attentive to my preferences for color and product and had a very positive energy when interacting with her co-workers and me. Jess named every product she used on my face and explained what she was doing and why every step of the way. I throughly enjoyed my first positive experience at a sephora. Usually the beauty advisors at most locations lack knowledge and experience let alone hospitality in their store. I was greeted by one of the advisors immediately upon arrival told her my expectations and problem areas and she was very sweet and knew exactly what she was doing for me. YES! Beauty junkies rejoice. There are now TWO full size Sephora's in Orlando now. I no longer have to commute to Florida mall and dodge throngs of tour groups just to visit my beloved Sephora. I purchased a wrong shade of foundation that an associate recommended at the FL mall and came to this store to exchange since this was closer to me during the holiday season. I had a black tie wedding this past Saturday that I needed to have my make up done. I have had my makeup done many times and I honestly was happier this time then all the other times! I wear only mascara on a day to day basis(maybe some eye liner some days), so when I get my makeup done, I try and let the MUA know that I am not a fan of the heavy foundation and heavy makeup. However, every single time I come out feeling like a clown. I go to Sephora well because I honestly buy everything from shampoo to moisturizer to perfume from there( I shop there a lot more so online but yeah i'm a little addicted). This store kind of stresses me out because it is crazy busy ALL THE TIME! It's insane in there, so much so I had to track someone down to let them know I had an appointment at 3 pm( the girl at the cash register kept ignoring me so I figured I would just go stop someone that looked important). You do need an appointment for a custom makeover(min 50 dollar purchase). It was a little crazy of a start but when Krystal came over it was "smooth sailing." I let Krystal know how I felt, and she rose to the task!! I told her the one person we needed to please was my mother( think UES new york mother whose nickname I kid you not is "the queen" yup it's that serious!) and she LISTENED to everything I said. When she was done I found myself looking in the mirror over and over again this may seem normal to your typical female these days but I am NOT a selfie type of chick. I actually had people stop and stare at the end and at least 4 or 5 different women and men stop and say I looked beautiful. However, the test was my mother who when I walked through the door of my house did not say anything, you may think this is bad but trust me this is as big of a compliment Krystal can get! I even pushed it and asked what she thought and simply she said " beautiful a million times better then that last time when you looked ridiculous." yup love my mum! Krystal was honestly awesome, she was not obnoxious and loud but smart, sweet, and definitely knows what she is doing! Sephora is lucky she picked Orlando to move to from Hawaii!! Make sure she stays there because I will request her each and every time I need my makeup done! oh and let me mention that the line was super long to check out(maybe it had to do with the girl at the cash register that looked like she was hating life and moving at a snails pace, and I couldn't get a job there, hmmm) and I was in a major hurry and she went and found the mobile check out and was able to get me out in less than 5 minutes! Icing on the cake! So thank you Krystal for making it an awesome experience( and the other lady who I tracked down who seemed to be holding it down with the appointments you were awesome as well)! I went to this location after having a bad experience at ulta, I must say Sephora has got ulta beat. They have a whole variety of different high end products, in comparison to ulta that is limited and then has drug store products. The staff at Sephora is much more friendly and interactive than ulta. I'm very pleased with my visit and they helped put on makeup whenever I asked! Will be coming here more often for my purchases! read more

Sephora , sephora,SEPHORA!!!! Did i say Sephora??? I am an avid makeup/eyelash wearer. I typically frequent jcpenney sephoras as they are more convient but this one had no jcpenneys sephora so i was optd to go to this one. I Loved the fact that they were fully staffed more staff than help needed and when i was in search of help multiple people asked me could they help me. I enjoyed their quality customer service as well as the samples they offer. I love how sephora gives samples so freely and without complaint. I will always love sephora!! read more

The store is very big and the space is utilized to the fullest. There a few displays that were kind of messed up and could use some attention but I think that's pretty understandable for a makeup store. When I went there today, they had a DJ there because they had a few Lancôme representatives there introducing a few new products. So it was crowded and kind of loud, but I kind of expected that before hand. There are plenty of staff there and most of them were friendly and helpful. One girl helped my sister find a lipstick shade and she was really helpful and even did swatches for her to see on her lips how the colors looked. This has been happening to me every time I go to this location, I been brushing it off but today I had enough. I do not appreciate being followed by every single employee that literally asks me every 5 sec if I need help when I'm not asking for it, specially when you come and ask me with and attitude. It literally makes me so uncomfortable, the ironic part is that when I actually needed help and went up to people to ask for help they would literally ignore me or just give me the most lazy answer that doesn't even help at ALL. This is literally the last time I visit this store. You make your costumer that are literally purchasing products feel like they're going there to steal, If you guys are so scared of people stealing put the detectors on the doors and stop harassing your costumers. As I was walking at the millennia mall I knew I wanted to go to Sephora to get some new makeup. I didn't have much Highhope's because I felt like I had tried everything to cover spots that I got from my birth control that appeared on my face over time of usage and which people love to point out as well as to asking me who hit me and I shouldn't let my man do that to me. Which obviously was very annoying and absolutely not true. I walked in and I ask for some advice from the cosmetology lady. Her name was Natasha she was from my island in Puerto Rico so we started talking and I explained to her what was going on and she couldn't believe how rude people could be saying that. It also made her upset that people would think that. I told her why I have them and how I have been trying to get rid of them but I was just fed up and I needed a change and I needed to make myself feel more confident and feel better. She started taking off my old makeup and told that that was not the right color for me that the lighter it was it was going to show more of the spots that I had. So she started recommending and putting it on for I could see the difference on one side of my face to the other as she finished putting on the makeup I looked in the mirror and I was happy I said to her this is the girl I remember and I started to tear up. She started saying don't cry, don't cry! If you cry you're going to pay double LOL she was really nice, very supportive and she made me feel comfortable. At the end of my purchase which I got Smashbox which I recommend this brand she kept looking at me and she said: you're like a totally different person; you look amazing so I would recommend if you have any doubts or questions on makeup go up to the ladies and ask. You never know if you'll be pleasantly surprised. Natasha was fabulous this was at millennia mall but they do move them from store to store but she was amazing thank you for making me feel better about myself and that there was a solution while I kept trying to resolve my challenges. Remember good makeup ain't cheap but it will be worth it in the end if it makes you happy . read more

While shopping in the Mall at Millenia I stopped into to Sephora to grab a gift for a friend and then gifts for myself! Honestly I would have rated this store lower had it not been for the man at check out. There were far too many employees monitoring the floor that they started to talk to each other in groups like they were having a nightly meeting. I was finding myself having to walk around them because they refused to move. Then if I did ask where something was, I was pointed in the general direction. No one seemed pleased to be working except for the last two people I came in contact with. The first woman saw how much I had in my hands and kindly offered me a basket. The second was the male cashier. He changed the whole experience! I explained that one of my purchases was a gift, he boxed my gift and gave me a card and gift receipt. When it was all done I had enough points that I'm now a VIB. He explained all the benefits to me and was super friendly. I had THE best experience at this Sephora today. I went there to pick up some skincare products, and I was directed to the LOVELY skincare specialist named Vanessa. She was the sweetest woman. She spent so much time finding the best products for my skin type and really wanted me to have great results. She informed me that I was eligible for a free facial, and it was amazing! My skin has NEVER felt that good. Noel was also super nice and sweet and helpful. I'm going to go back every month now and have Vanessa do my facial there because she was amazing. We're not one to write reviews but we were incredibly impressed by one specific employee at the Sephora in the millennia mall. Miles took his time to explain fragrances and makeup advice with us and was incredibly welcoming and sweet. His customer service was definitely a 10/10. THE WORST Sephora I have ever been to! I am a VIB Rouge member and needless to say I spend quite a bit of money at Sephora. I went in to this location because I am looking for a new foundation and I wanted to try some higher end ones in person. I have weird combo skin with large pores, so finding a foundation I like is a nightmare. As I'm looking around, I'm hounded by several salespeople even though I said I'm fine and just looking. I finally cave and say I'm on the hunt for new foundation. Salesperson suggests a brand I hadn't considered, tried it on me-I hate it. I politely said thanks very much, I just don't want anything that sits in my pores and I'm going to keep looking. As I'm looking around, the same salesperson follows me around and comes up to me repeatedly and first of all suggests primer (which I am aware of and I use) then suggests changing my skincare routine, then tells me my pores are huge and I need to focus on procedures to improve my skin instead of finding foundation!!! First of all, my skin is under the care of a dermatologist and it's way better than what it was a year ago. Second of all, I was there to shop for foundation not skincare and not be insulted. Lastly, just because I don't want the same cakey overly made up look this salesperson had doesn't mean I need better skincare, I just need the right foundation. Which, by the way, I found at Neiman Marcus where the sales person was actually helpful. Whoever the manager is at the Millenia location needs to be replaced because you are clearly incapable of training your staff. At least tell them to leave people alone and let them look around. It would have been a much better experience and at least I wouldn't have felt uncomfortable. read more

Pretty laid back store and you can try stuff without anyone pushing to sell anything !!! There were two girls that helped us with everything ... Karah and Daniela... Lovely girls ! Made our shipping soooo lovely ! We spoke about so many things ... So I go to sephora a lot and decided to stop in the one at the mall of millennia for the first time today to try and see if they had a new Tarte product and pick up some things I needed. The customer service at this one location was absolutely awful, I had to practically beg for some help with shade matching to which the guy working rolled his eyes and sighed about having to help. But after I got matched I asked which shade it was so I could get it and was responded to with another eye roll. After I look to grab my shade and see they are all out so I asked if by chance I could have a small sample to try it out since they are sold out of the shade. I was told no I wasn't allowed to have a sample. At this point I was really just over everything I walked away and started grabbing a couple more things I needed. So I turn back down the isle I was in to find the same guy giving a sample of the product I had just asked for a sample of and told no, was being given to someone else who wanted to try it out. So at this point I'm pissed I don't know what I did to make this employee not want to help me but I definitely did not feel welcome at this location. I literally just put my basket down on the ground and walked out of the store. I will never go back to this location ever again after that. read more
