When I told them that I didn't wish to share my number, I was told that I couldn't check in without providing it. I clarified, to make sure I understood correctly, "If I dont give you my cell phone number, you won't provide me service?" The woman I was talking to looked to her coworker for support. After slowly looking at me from toe to head while making a face as if to say, ' Who are you, that you don't want to give us your number', she told the women I had to provide a number - I assume, because I didn't speak their language, and the respose was the same. I was told that they weren't going to share or use my number for marketing. Then why require my number? I wasn't making a reservation. I literally walked in and would have sat right in the chair for all but 5 minutes or less, paid, and walked out. Innocent request in an attempt to do what, I dont know? Maybe. But to require a persons personal information for no valid reason is a violation of a persons privacy. I'll be honest, It was mostly a matter of principle, but also, your phone number can provide access to highly sensitive information and potentially lead to identify theft. Like many people, my phone is used to manage my life and the business I work for. With all the idenity theft, fraud, hacking, and scams, I prefer I err on the side of caution when I can.

After booking online (vagaro.com/lashandbody was the only way to book online), I received a text stating that we needed to pay $20 per person to reserve the booking, and that amount would be applied to our service. Subsequently, I received several annoying reminder texts, one of which mentioned that the location had changed to inside a salon at a different address. Upon arrival, it was not a Lash Lounge as advertised but a salon that looked VERY different from the advertisement. Employees were sleeping in the waiting room. The individual who did our lashes showed up and took us to what appeared to be a storage room. During our session, a loud carpet cleaner was being operated, even banging against the door of the room. When I went to pay, I was informed that the balance was $160 ($79 x 2). I tipped $40, bringing my total to $200. A few days later, my Venmo statement showed the $40 reservation fee was also charged, making the total for services $200 ($100 each instead of $79). I reached out to Marienne twice to inquire about this charge, but received no response. I would not recommend this service due to misleading branding, location, prices, and communication. It is unclear if Lash&Body Lounge is aware that their brand is being used to promote her services.
