It left me feeling stuck with a purchase I'm unhappy with. I also bought Bob Marley incense, which smells more like a burning fireplace or old wood than scented incense. It came across as stale or possibly old. Unless the owner makes this right, I don't plan on returning. She explained the benefits of each product, they key ingredients, and how to use them. All of Lather's products are made without synthetic fragrance, artificial colors, parabens or sulfates. So if you have sensitive skin or are just looking for cleaner beauty products, this brand may be just right for you! Their packaging is also made with sustainable materials, and that is important to me as a beauty consumer. I also appreciate the fact that most of their products are moderately priced. You can find comparable products at Sephora or Ulta priced at $10+ more. I purchased the Ultra Light Face Lotion which is a daily moisturizer that is a non-greasy formula which quickly absorbs into your skin. The Manuka Honey Body Butter smells amazing and I wanted something ultra moisturizing for my dry legs. It's a shame I don't live closer to this location, but there are several good stores & restaurants in this shopping center so I will make it back to 2nd & PCH and Lather to restock on beauty products.

I'm super attached to my hair and it needed some serious color correcting. It had been colored quite a few times by quite a few people and had four different horizontal strips of coloring coming from the roots. (It looked as awesomely horrible as it sounds). I did all kinds of research, scoping out who was in Long Beach and I was convinced Enrique was it for my hair. Everything mentioned in the reviews is true! He is amazing. We had a consultation and I completely trusted him. I could tell he actually cared about what he was doing to my hair. He listened to what I wanted and also recommended what he thought would be best to help get my hair healthy again. Enrique was super patient with my hair in seeing what would work to even out all the madness happening - I really appreciate that I didn't feel like he was just 'yesing' me as some stylists do. He genuinely wanted me to be happy with the results and was committed to making my hair as healthy as it could be. He also got me started on Olaplaex to reconstruct my damaged hair and I'm so happy he did! I absolutely LOVE the results. He also suggested doing a micro trim on me to help freshen up my locks and since I was already so happy with how my hair turned out, I let him. And holy hell did I love it even more!! He completely kept my length but my hair looked dramatically different from just the tiny bit he took off. I'm so so so happy with my hair and it's all due to Enrique. He is amazing on all levels! I can honestly say his haircut and highlights are the best I've had in any salon in Long Beach. I have also become addicted to the great selection of makeup and hair products he has available in his beauty supply. I started off with thick Asian hair that I've been dying black for years. The last session he was able to lighten my hair a few shades through a 6 hour job that included bleaching, highlights, and a haircut. Despite all the chemicals that he put in my hair, my hair still felt strong and healthy after the service. I have never received so many compliments on my highlights and, more importantly, the hair color complimented my skin tone and looked extremely natural and sun-kissed. The highlights were completely blended and did not look like zebra stripes (which is a look I DREAD!). This time around I still wanted to go lighter, so Enrique did more highlights and gave me yet another wonderful haircut. I love shopping at this boutique salon and beauty supply. With floor to ceiling shelves filled with soaps. Take in the smells of lavender and oats. I was greeted by a very nice lady and told her what I was looking for and with out hesitation she grabbed fro the shelves that fit my needs. I have very sensitive skin so I try to stay has natural as possible and I can't get over these soaps. I walked out with 5 bars of soap, one for my roommate that fit her perfectly, I have my soaps in my bathroom cabinet and every time I open it I can smell them.

We came by on a Saturday, so a swap meet was occurring on the northern part of the parking lot. There was still a good amount of parking near the actual Alpine Village area, so the swap meet didn't affect parking too much. Alpine Village Cosmetics is on the other end of the Alpine Village, away from the Market. It's near the other smaller shops, such as the toy store, bookstore (which seems to now be closed), antique places, and a shoe store. Alpine Village Cosmetics is a good-sized shop with a lot of products concentrating on bath items (e.g., soap, shampoo, deodorant, hand soap, lotions, etc.), with some candies/mints, too. Eleonore kindly greeted us when we walked in, and offered any assistance if we had questions. Super-helpful when we had questions, and provided suggestions based on products that we picked out. We actually found this place by looking up on where Nivea is sold, and bought several other German-based products to try out. It was a lovely shopping experience, and we're looking forward to visiting again!
