She spent so much time with me listening to my foundation needs and choosing the perfect color for me. She even took me outside and in different places to make sure it was perfect in all lighting! As a middle aged trans-gender woman I do like Sephora very much. The only thing is sometimes when I visit them there are young kids (thieves) stealing products without payment. I was making a quick stop at my local Sephora for my friends birthday get together. As I was grabbing the Sol de Janeiro perfume mist in 68 I was appalled to see a teenage culprit steal a sample and trade it out for their empty one. Then they left the store and when I notified an employee, she said, there is no point in trying to catch them. I was utterly confused and wondering why the employee did not care that kids were stealing products from them! So I payed and then set out on a mission I took it upon myself and searched the entire Corte Madera Town Center to see if I could find the child. I could not find them ANYWHERE so I guess I hope I have better luck next time. Also jsyk Sephora you can pull off the security sticker on the product, and that is exactly what this child did. First let start off with I love Love Love Love Sephora! However this location was a huge disappointment. I visited the Corte Madera location on a Tuesday afternoon it was not busy maybe 3 other customers walking around. I requested assistance and a young lady who I assume was a manager said she'll find someone that could help me. Well I waited and waited and waited. I watch as a group of employees cheated one young girl was even spinning around dancing to herself at the entrance. Yet no one came to my aide. I finally left without the item I came there for. I am a beauty insider and spend money there all year. I can't believe the experience here. I hope it was just a one time thing. read more

My 2 friends and I went in and we were being followed by the employees the whole time. Not one time where we turned around and one employee was just staring. We were being watched the whole time. It felt like we weren't even able to look at the whole store without bumping into an employee. Even when we went to pay the cashier was so rude, didn't even say hi just asked if I was in the system. I approached Sephora worker for help on color-matching concealer, and she was making excuses not to help me. so out of pride, I "tried" to find the correct color by myself. 15minutes of failing to color-match. once again, I reach out for help from the lady stood by the door to greet customer coming in &out. I got the same responded and again i waited.... this time, i waited & waited & waited until 30minutes before the store close (at 7pm) yet noone comes to help. ***5 Star Customer Service Alert*** I have a love-hate relationship for Customer Service because I either LOVE it or HATE it. During my most recent visit at the Sephora Corte Madera location, I was not welcomed nor greeted right away which turned me off, and made me hesitant on whether I'd be sticking around to spend any of my hard earned dollars. Thankfully Drake quickly turned things around. He sent me home with a couple of foundation samples to hold me over for a week as I was completely out; and as a way to try some new products, he got me scheduled for a makeover that was made available to me at no cost with a purchase of more than $50. Blake, the makeup artist who gave me the makeover the following week, was not only super fly, but he was professional, knowledgable, amazingly talented, kind and absolutely killed the makeup look -nearly selling me on all the products he used. The look was seriously HOT FIRE. I was immediately complimented by a handful of people in the store which made me feel not only fierce, but also greatly appreciative for the extraordinary customer service by Blake and Drake. This store has their employees standing in the freezing cold greeting customers at the entrance. It's disgusting and abusive treatment of their employees. At least give her a jacket! Or better yet have the manager try it for an hour and see how good she is at her job since she's clearly lacking common sense as the manager. It's winter time, it's cold, both doors wide open, and they clearly don't care about their employees. You wouldn't put your own child out in the cold so why would you do it to someone else's child? Best experience today!! I came in looking for some makeup for event tonight and was helped by Kirsten. Not only did she pick out and teach me how to properly apply the makeup, she showed me several money saving short cuts with brushes and colors and was incredible knowledgeable about all the products. Then she proceeded to give me a full face of makeup!!! There was no heavy sales pitch, no push and she made me look gorgeous!!! I am now on my way to my event rocking my new makeup and eye lashes all thanks to Kirsten!! Thanks for making my event so memorable!!! read more

This store is full service and professional. I bought 4 items and came home with 3. I looked and looked but my "favorite " purchase was not in my bag. I had an amazing time at Sephora getting the custom makeover. The employees were all very helpful and kind. The girl who did my makeup was truly so wonderful! I cannot recall her name (it started with an M), but I went in on June 2nd at 3 pm, if that helps. She walked me through the whole process and checked in with me on everything she did on my face. I was very satisfied with the end result. She also took a picture of my make up after it was done to use it as a 'sample'. This was my first time at Sephora and I will definitely be coming back! The girls at this location are pretty friendly and helpful. The only thing is that they didn't really have what I wanted in stock,and the store is pretty small to the Sephora's I am use to. Parking was a pain also. But overall I guess if I am in the location I would stop by, but wouldn't make a whole trip to come here. read more

The sales associate was short, unknowledgable, refused to look up my account after she typed in my phone number incorrectly, told me she can get me my points after I paid. NICEST Sephora ever!! It's huge, bigger than the Novato or SF locations and everybody who works there is so friendly. They did a great job with hiring. They gave us free cupcakes and like 8 free samples and it was way past opening day. SO many people offered to help me look for things and everybody actually knew what they were talking about, I spoke to two employees in the skincare section about my long routine and all the actives and retinols I used and they knew the perfect moisturizer for me and it was the first time I've actually loved a skincare product recommended by Sephora. Definitely will not be back to this location. I was already annoyed because they did not have testers available for some of the darker shades of the Nars foundation. Not to mention I wandered around for 30 minutes and no one offered to help. I decided to just do a return and when the associate told me which card the funds would be returned to I was surprised because I don't use that card for makeup purchases. I questioned it but I assumed maybe I'd used it on accident. When I reviewed the receipt sure enough I had used my debit card. I asked if they could reverse the return and put the funds on the proper card like most stores can, and they said it wasn't possible. Not to mention the manager totally downplayed the situation. Funds should be returned to the original form of payment as stated in their OWN return policy. I reached out to corporate about this issue because it's really unacceptable read more

I had a great experience going to Sephora for the first time. As soon as I walked in the door, the staff welcomed me and offered assistance, which I desperately needed. Jessica was so professional and outgoing, putting my mind at ease with her vast knowledge. She was efficient at finding what I (poorly) described and she offered samples of products too. I was also helped by Drake, who was kind, approachable, and encouraging. He suggested tutorials for me to watch and made it quick and easy to purchase online when they were out of a certain product. OMG Tania changed my life! I am not joking. I have some pretty bad dark circles and didn't know where to start with color or products. I was helped by Tania whose make-up was phenomenal. I knew she was an expert based off of how great she looked, so I asked for her help. She asked me questions about my lifestyle, how I do my make-up, etc to get the exact shade of concealer for me. She picked out two from Nars, one had a bit more pop of color and the other more natural, I ended up with the more natural one for me, Custard. I appreciate her professionalism and also how enthusiastic she was about helping me, even for the smallest thing. Unfortunately they were out of stock, but Tania told me I had the option to order online and get it shipped to my house and got me a little sample! I have gotten compliments for looking more "awake" and "younger" by just having on this concealer on. Thank you Tania for making my beauty routine so much better and more confident. I have been back since getting my concealer, and was helped out by Sandro whose make-up was perfection. It's comforting to know that those who work here are professionals and will make sure you look your best. I purchased an item 31 days ago and was told to use it everyday for best results that I had 60 days to return it if it didn't suit me. It did not do what I had been told it would do so I returned it. Walked in the door and the door greeter said, well you have to have at least 50% left in the jar. The girl at the counter said, well you have to have at least 75% left in the jar. How do you use something everyday as advised by them and then have 75% left in the jar after 31 days. Seemed sneaky to me. Also the girl at the counter, while a nice girl, destroyed the top of the dispenser trying to open it, so at that point what was I going to do with it. Finally she agreed to give me a return on a gift card, which was fine. Left a bad taste. Too bad, I loved having all of that merchandise choice in one location. I'll use my card, probably won't go back. Their return policy is pretty sneaky. read more
