This store is delightful! It brought back many of my childhood knick knacks as well as more modern days toys. From those plastic water toys that you push a button to have water pressure push rings to stack on plastic rings to creating model robots. There's greeting cards, fairy toys, books, train sets, realistic looking jellyfish lava lamp...you're bound to find something here if you're looking for a gift. Employees are very patient and helpful. The store is easy to navigate and it's nice that it's located right next to Macy's (in case you need a restroom). Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area! read more

Best educational toy store I've encountered in the SF Bay Area. From Five Little Monkeys in Burlingame to various Barnes & Nobles' toy sections, I find most stores have the same products I already know of from Amazon. This store had Melissa & Doug educational learning mats, Bruder Caterpillar branded construction vehicles, die cast cars - and gift wrapping for everything. Additionally, the store was an experience for kids - Haba train sets, Calico Critters homes, this was better than Disneyland for many toddler aged kids. I should've taken more pics of this place - mine don't do it justice for the expansive, modern, clean layout. read more

In an effort to shop at local small business instead of online for my kid's first bday, I schlepped here in the cold rain and battled for a parking spot. The section in the store was ok, definitely would have bought a few things if the salespeople had looked up from their busy work. Call me old fashioned, but I do believe that a quick hello should be a minimal expectation for making purchases. Left without buying anything. read more

This is a really cute store with an overall great variety of toys. My grandson loves it and we have made several trips in these past few weeks. It makes for a nice outing. I have been able to buy him some top selling learning toys and games. I am only giving a four star review opposed to a five because the girl working during one of my transactions didnt know how to manually put in my credit card. When I asked for her help she was a bit reluctant to help and did not seam to care. Thankfully I had another card or I would have had a very disappointed boy! This is important skill so I think it should be addressed. Overall though really great tore. read more

If you need a gift on the spot then this is a perfect place to stop! Little girls and boys were in heaven with squeals of delight and intrigue as they tried to decide what item to invest more of their energies. The three female employees were bebind the sales counter periodically catching the eye of the adults and giving them warm cheerfing welcome as if they were friends with and everyone of them. The Playmobil stock has lots of choices,and styles which was nice to see. There were old fashion board games. The kits werevery cooly. The Magic Trick boxes and how to build dragon paper airplanes. So many items in the store that I could not decide what I liked best myself..I did like the learning sets that showed how electricity worked and such. I was shooping for my nephew's and stopped in here, what a great place, They have a good variety of toys that are just not found at the Big Box toy stores, and they are made to last which is more than I can say for other items I have found. I only wish this was my first stop, as I had picked up some items elsewhere that were sub-par compared to what I found here. On my next round of toy shopping I'll be coming here first. read more

One of several children's stores in the Corte Madera Town Center mall, but this is truly a boutique toy store. Find everything from Breyer and Thomas the Train to Groovy Girls and various European wood toy brands. Hello Kitty area, lunchbox and music areas. Too much is crammed into the space, so shopping is frustrating. A little of everything but their San Rafael location is much friendlier and less cluttered. Not a place to go to for bargains if you're on a budget. More for collector toys or toys that can be handed down. read more

My son & I love this store! Lots of cool toys for children of all ages. Some you probably can't find at Toys R Us, Target, etc. They have toys on display for the young ones to play with (duplo table, train table, etc) I can never pass this store without my 2 year old wanting to run in & head towards all the trains! It can get a bit overwhelming sometimes when there's a lot of people in the store. The aisles are tight which make it slightly difficult to maneuver a stroller. The staff is helpful when you have questions otherwise they kind of just let you browse in peace. Which I personally like. Not a fan of pushy sales associates. If you're on a budget & looking for a bargain, this is probably not a place you'd want to stop by first. After all it is a boutique. I love a good toy store. As much as big box stores like Target or Toy R Us have so much stuff and pretty good prices, it is always the little stores that stock the cool toys for younger kids. This store is quite the gem in Corte Madera with lots of quality toys that provide a lot of learning for kids whether they realize it or not. Just simple fine motor skills being used by having a few more moving parts (that don't snap off after 5 minutes) can really help in early development. Prices are a little higher but for more quality. This is a great place to send Grandparents shopping! The staff was friendly and helpful. While most of them looked like they didn't have kids, they still tried to give me options on a style of Euro toy I was looking for they didn't have. Some of the aisles are tight, but I will gladly take that to find good toys that not everyone else is using for my kiddo! read more

I've come full circle with Child's Delight. When we first moved to the area I fell in love with the merchandise - they've got a wonderful assortment of Euro toys here (some stuff that reminded me of my child hood toys). Seriously, it's one of the best selections around for quality-made toys. However, after a couple not so favorable experiences with one employee in particular I was not so keen on the shop. However, what made me come back full circle is that the owner, once aware of the issues immediately contacted me and addressed me concerns. (Apparently the employee I referred to is no longer part of the Child's Delight team). As the saying goes, good help is hard to find - so you can't blame a business for making a hiring mistake. However, you can judge them on how they deal with it. And I really appreciate the genuine concern the owner has about running a top notch establishment. And the team they have now is great - both my husband and I have enjoyed our recent visits. So if you're looking for a great selection in toys and good service - this is the place to go in Marin! read more

How do you get to the awesome toy store? You have to go across the big red bridge, though the rainbow tunnel, to get to the awesome toy store. Fun toy store, filled with good quality toys. We never leave this place without buying something. Today it was sand toys and a toy ambulance. Good selection of dolls, Thomas trains, developmental toys, crafty stuff, outside toys, fairy-themed stuff, etc. - and lots of classics that you don't see around so much anymore. Remember Bristle Blocks? They sell'em here. I always find some cool new thing here that I haven't seen anywhere else. Today I saw some finger paint packaged in a pump, in the arts and crafts section - someone's thinking, as my mother would say. The people here are fantastic. I do not have kids and was heading to a 3 year old girls birthday party. I called 30 minutes out from the store and asked the staff to pick and wrap a present they thought she would like. All I specified was a budget range. Of the 30 or more presents received mine was by far the most popular. And by the way they present selected was at the low end of my budget range. My son and I love the store! This is the best toy store ever. The staff is very nice and accommodating to all the little children and their parents. They have lots of fun stuff set up for young children to play with and the staff gives you absolutely no attitude even when your child is scooting around the perimeter of the store or whizzing around with a toy shopping cart. We have spent countless hours of fun in this store and I always come to them first for toys for my son or birthday presents for his friends. They have a nice selection of toys. This store is amazing, I babysit a little boy and inevitably when we are at Town Center he manages to find this toy store. It is so child friendly and he is allowed to touch and play with toys, it helps me to see what he is interested in.
