This is a *very* overdue review from the last Sephora sale, but it's one that's well deserved! I'm definitely not makeup savvy, so walking into Sephora can feel overwhelming. I never know where anything is or even what I'm looking for. Thankfully, Jasmine completely changed that experience. She was like having my own personal shopper! She patiently helped me find every product on my list, answered all of my questions, and made what could have been a stressful shopping trip so easy and enjoyable. Well... about **$600 later**, I had everything I needed! When it was time to check out, Kara was just as wonderful. She was friendly, efficient, and continued the excellent customer service all the way through the checkout process. I normally *hate* shopping, but Jasmine and Kara made the entire experience genuinely pleasant. Their kindness, patience, and professionalism are exactly why great customer service still matters. When is this Sephora store going to address these ongoing issues? The customer service is alwayssss incredibly disappointing. The employees seem irritated, unhappy, and as though helping customers is a burden. There is very little friendliness or willingness to assist. I walked in expecting the usual Sephora experience, where I typically don't need any assistance. However, this time I needed an item that was kept in a locked drawer. How else was I supposed to get it? THIS IS YOUR JOB. Good customer service really does make a difference, and unfortunately, that is usually missing at this location. Hopefully, management will start taking a closer look at all aspects of this store and how it is being operated. I stopped by Sephora on July 21,2026 around 4:30pm to pick up a hair serum, and unfortunately the customer service left a lot to be desired. The only employees who were genuinely friendly were the greeters at the front. Everyone else I interacted with, including the cashier looked disappointed, confused, or like they didn't want to be there. The cashier had such a blank, ghostly expression that it reminded me of Wednesday from the Adams Family. Ugh. I understand the service industry has changed over the years and retail isn't always easy, but basic customer service still matters. A simple smile, eye contact, and a welcoming attitude can completely change a customer's experience. I hope there's more emphasis on training employees to be approachable, helpful, and engaging because those small gestures go a long way. read more

Throughly smooth shopping experience--my daughter who wears makeup regularly needed to replenish an item. The store is organized in a way that makes it easy to find things even if it's not the exact same from store to store. She found it quickly and then also bought a glittery eyeshadow by the recommendation of my other daughter. The cashier who helped her reminded her to pickup her birthday gift for being a regular. There were several staff available near the front of the store to answer questions and give advice about makeup if needed. read more

Very small Sephora for this mall. They need to get a bigger location that can accommodate their foot traffic. The customer service is great but it feels overwhelming having very narrow aisles, not enough room to move or turn around. Literally you cannot be in the same aisle as another person or if you are a certain size you won't fit or if you are in a wheelchair or crutches, there is no way you can enjoy the store. Not customer friendly. They put too many gondolas and products yet didn't think of the comfort of their customers. Not enjoyable. Great employees tho!!!! read more

I mostly visit this Sephora location for glam makeup appointments and have never had any issues with the booking process or the makeup artists, they're always professional and do a great job. The only downside is that shopping in-store can be overwhelming since it's almost always crowded, and the checkout line tends to be long. Because of that, I usually place my orders online and choose in-store pickup, which is super convenient and usually has little to no wait time. Overall, a reliable Sephora location, but best if you use the pickup option instead of browsing during peak hours. read more

I really enjoy Sephora as a store- I'm a member. However, this location is the closest to me. Every time I come I feel watched and followed, as soon as I enter this location. I always receive the worst service if I receive any at all when it comes to this location. I only come to this location because it's the closest to me. Last night was the last time I will ever step foot into Sephora at the Brea mall. I went in there because I was in the immediate vicinity and decided that I wanted to return some things possibly for store credit because I realized that it was past 30 days...no big deal. I get to the register and I type in my phone number and hand over my items . The cashier scans the items and proceeds to holler out, and I quote "OH NO BABY. THESE ARE WAY PAST THE RETURN WINDOW GIRL, THEY WERE BOUGHT WAY BACK ON 19 and 22!" So I'm standing there looking at her like chill out, yes August 19th and 22nd. So then I'm like OK yes I know when I purchased the items since they're past 30 days I'm fine with store credit isn't that normally how it works? Don't you have up to 60 days to receive store credit? And she's like "OH NO THEY CHANGED THE POLICY SEVEN MONTHS AGO. ITS A HARD 30 DAYS NOW!" Once again, just another huge unnecessary reaction from her. And I don't believe she would've reacted like that if it was someone who didn't look like me. And so I grabbed my items and I say OK that's fine. I never knew about the updated return policy because newsflash at this point it may be more than obvious that I never return things, I just figured I would this time. From here on out, I will choose respect and intention over convenience. read more

She was incredibly helpful and even looked for us in the store when she found items we thought were sold out. We really appreciated her effort and kindness. My daughter saved her coins to buy me a gift. We went to the store and she paid with her coins. All the coins were rolled and wrapped, not loose or messy. However, the cashier seemed very upset that we were paying with coins. The way she treated us and her facial expressions made us feel very uncomfortable. Money is money, and if someone works as a cashier and deals with the public, they should provide good customer service and never make customers feel bad. read more

My favorite makeup store, well one of them. But I have come here for so many years now. I love this location, all the employees always greet you and ask if you're looking for anything. Today was super busy for the Holiday rush, but I made it through. Got a few gifts for my sister and her kids. Its so hard to buy for them since they have everything they want and need but I love and enjoying buying gifts for them. I found what I needed but because it was so busy it was a little overwhelming lol. I got asked a few times if i needed help and if I was ok. Thank you so much, the girl who helped me I wish I got her name she was so sweet and told me the specials they had going on. Honestly the store was almost cleaned out all the high end makeup and stuff I like and wanted to get for my sister was gone lol. So hopefully they bring it back in stalk soon. I recently did an online order for my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer I have been using for over 20 years now lol. It was all out so I had to get a different one. But it's ok, more natural but I still like the other one better. Over all I love this location the employees are really friendly and helpful, I usually always find what I need. I really love Sephora and I come to the Brea Mall often and usually always go into Sephora. The one thing that I always notice, that I always hope has been addressed when I go in, is how dusty and unclean all the displays are. Certain make up sections, the perfume section, always seems like it's never been wiped down and cleaned. I get how tedious it probably is with all the products, but it would make such a big difference in the quality of the store. With all the upgrades and renovations going on with this mall I really think Sephora could use some love. read more

Hi!! Went there on Friday, August 15th. It was busy!! Back to school shopping but with it being busy, they didn't miss a beat! I was greeted by two friendly girls at the door that offered me a basket, like an idiot, I said no thx you. I was in for one thing only, my Merit concealer. I went all the way to the back, got it and was going to check out. That's when I saw the Sephora brand collection and met Coda, sorry if I butchered your name. He helped me with the products, gave me some recommendations and had me look and try on some eyeshadow sticks. He was a doll! I left $190 later satisfied and happy with my purchases. I have tried on all the sticks on my face and just feel younger. I won't say my age. This store is super helpful but Coda made it extra special. He was right!! The matte Sephora lipstick does not dry out your lips. Thx for the experience and I will definitely be going back again. read more

This was my first time at the Brea location. It will be my last time. The worst customer service. Specifically Liz. I believe she was a manager. Rude, unhelpful, and apathetic. The opposite of the qualities a manager should have. The male associate at the register referred me to Liz and said she might make an exception for my return. I brought my return after 29 days technically. But the system would not allow it. I just wanted to exchange it for the same product but one shade lighter. As I said she was rude, immediately shut me down. If they look at my account they will see that I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at Sephora. But after this experience with the poor customer service, I will now go to Ulta instead. I can accept if they couldn't do the return but please be nice about it next time. I purchased a $50 lipstick and the stingy woman helping me didn't bother putting it in a bag or offering me one. She simply put the product on the counter and nodded. I may as well have purchased a slab of deli meat. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the caliber of service given the condition of this location. Came in to look for a new foundation/powder. Stood by the makeup line I was interested in for about 10-15 mins and no one came by to ask if I needed anything. So I went looking for a sales assoc. And sure enough found them, hanging out, gossiping as usual. I told her I needed help and she said someone would come over to help. Don't know why she couldn't though. So I went back to the prodcut line area and waited and waited and waited. Nothing. About 15 mins later, same sales assoc came over to tell me it would be a few mins more when a sales assoc would come over to help me. Again..........I waited and waited and waited........ Nothing. I finally gave up. I went up to her and told I needed to go. I had just came in to get this one thing and had an errand to run. The store was not busy! There was only 1 customer at the counter and no one in line. And this was on a Tues around noon not even a weekend. I don't see how this store remains open. I've gone in there a few times in the past and the sales assoc just seem annoyed when you ask for help. And I did walk around and looked at various eye shadow palette testers and they were grimey or so worn out that there was barely any left in the pan. The brand I was interested in is sold at Nordstrom's too. I think I might go over there from now and least get points. read more

Sephoras are always busy. That's understandable. I walked into this on a Saturday. The mall was full. I walked up to two pairs of associated standing next to each other chatting. I said excuse me twice. One had very short blonde hair and looked and me and kept ignoring me. Around the other corner near the hair products another pair of ladies chatting and laughing and my daughter and I stood there waiting to ask questions. I spoke up to get their attention, nothing. I heard the movie they saw was good though. So I was gonna find the products myself. No one approached to and asked if we needed help until EMMA. She was patient and kind and she was there to work. She took my daughter and I to the products we had questions about. Into'd us to some clean ingredient skin care and makeup. Made some great suggestions. I did see some associates busy with customers.
