My favorite Sephora in all of Austin. Always great customer service and easy to check out. Worth leaving the Domain to hop on over to this one where the employees care for their customers and are helpful. read more

Sephora has been my happy place for years and prior to the pandemic and I alwaysdropped way more money than I should have! Today changed every thing. I purchased the same brand of foundation I've worn for 10 years in December. The young women that helped me chose to color match me in the store instead of checking my records for my regular color. I tried it three different times and it never looked good. It was a totally different shade. I was informed I couldn't return it due to being two weeks past the acceptable return date. A store manager called customer service after I insisted, to see if they could override the day but got a solid no. I get that there are rules but after a long career of serving the public I also know rules can be broken. I have been a loyal Sephora clustomer and taken many clients, friends and family to shop there. No more! I can get everything I need online direct from the manufacturer. Girl, bye! read more

The girls here provide excellent service and are very knowledgeable about their products, I have never been steered wrong towards a product they recommended and have had excellent results with everything I have purchased here. Love this store and Perricone products read more

I can guarantee that if you spend more than five minutes in Sephora your hands will be a smudgy, gummy mess of pigment and glitter. Fun! Shopping at Sephora is an experience in sampling and bizarre self-decoration -- smearing lipstick on your hand, rubbing face cream into your arm, dabbing eye shadow on your wrist. Good thing there are never any men here because to them all the Sephora women would seem like a bunch of loonies. This particular Sephora in the Arboretum is ideally located nearby a Saks. Sephora has an amazing variety of products and brands but it doesn't have everything. Fortunately the Mac and Armani makeup counters are right inside of the Arboretum Saks. There's no such thing as one-stop-shopping for beauty, but being located practically next door to Saks this Sephora comes darn close! read more

I come here all the time, but usually I can find what I need so I don't really talk to associates. Anyway, I came here yesterday and was looking for a lip brush. The associate told me they were all sold out! WTF! However, instead of going back to whatever she was doing, she walked around with me to find a lip brush with one of the makeup brands. When that failed, she asked two associates for help. One of the associates walks off and comes back with a brush that could be used as a lip brush (and it was cheaper than the brush I was originally looking for). Now that is customer service!! Also, every time I'm in here, everyone is so friendly! bonus points! read more

Just a husband getting some errands done for the wife. Went in with a list of three things and was out in 3 minutes. If you don't know ... some of the sephora staff have little self checkouts. Thanks Norma and Barbara! read more

Most Sephoras I've been to around the country are typically well laid out, clean and have a friendly staff but this location has the friendliest employees ever! I came in for a few samples of products that I wanted to try. I explained what I was looking for and one of the employees went out of her way to get a special sample from the storage room. The sample had what I wanted and two complementary products in one kit. Score! I enjoyed browsing around and picking up a few of my products I was running low on. Overall it was a really nice experience to shop here. Everyone working was very helpful & pleasant read more

I went in on Sunday and they had an abundance of staff on the floor. When I asked one a question she did not walk to me but stood where she was and I had to yell my question to her. I asked her where two products were and she told me one was near the register and the other was on the wall across the store. She then called someone to help me. I don't know what game plan Sephora has for their staff either she didn't want to move from her department or couldn't move. I just thought it was rude that I had to yell to her because she wouldn't take 5 steps towards me. read more

I don't typically think of myself as a girly girl. However I have a weakness for cosmetics and beauty products and Sephora is like a beauty Mecca to me. They carry great brands and I really like that they give you the opportunity to try things out, even more then my love of beauty products I LOVE samples and getting to test drive things before I buy them. Today I went in search of new perfume for myself and cologne for my man. Gina was quite possibly the nicest employee I've encountered there and her customer service was just beyond amazing. Both of our scents are no longer around so she showed me this handy dandy way they can find ones that are similar and made several samples for us to try and see what we liked best to come back and buy. For me this was an amazing example of a retail experience that was so good that when we do figure out what we like best, and even though the location is not that close to me, I will totally go back and buy our scents there. read more

What I really wanted to do last year was give this place 2 stars. I just felt like everything was so darn expensive. But in my last visit this place earned 2 stars. First of all I tried all kinds of new mascara (because they give you brand new mascara brushes to test their products with, so it's completely clean and safe). So yes, this is a great place to go if you want to try something new you saw in a commercial and you don't believe the hype. AND I found the solution to my liquid eyeliner dilemma. This eye liner issue has been going on for years. I have tried expensive liquid liner, cheap liquid liner, all of it. I hate that almost all brands of makeup are moving to the foam applicators for liquid liner. Then I found it. The best liquid liner with the best brush ever. If you have trouble applying your eyeliner, this product is not for you. But if you like having the freedom to apply your eyeliner any way you like (thin, thick, close, etc.), it's perfect. and it is only made by Sephora!!! I do not buy other brands here because you can get a better deal on brands like Clinique in the malls where you get free gifts with purchase. However, I will come back again and again and again for that liner! read more

Worst Sephora experience at this location. Staff was rude and not willing to assist or provide recommendations.

I love this Sephora! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They carry pretty much anything you need for your makeup bag, hair, body, etc. The selection just cannot be beat. I love Urban Decay because it is the only eye makeup that doesn't make my eyes water. They are always stocked and it is a very popular brand. I usually get perfume here because I can always find something I love. They carry my favorite bath product line, L'Occitane, so I get that there as well. The lotions and almond body oil are my two must haves. I bought a hairdryer here 6 years ago and it still works perfectly. Plus if you sign up for Sephora Card, you get bonus points with every purchase that results in a handful of free samples as you check out. Can't beat it! read more

I love that they have so many great reviews. I have just one question. How do you get someone to acknowledge your presence? Was it because I look like I work in a construction office in my jeans, t-shirt, steel toe boots? Oh wait...I DO work in a construction office! Yes, M-F I look like I live in a man's world, but on the weekends I like to be a girl. Makeup, nail polish, all the fun girly stuff. Imagine the products I would have purchased if even one person made eye contact with me! read more

I am a "low maintenance" girl. I don't wear alot of jewelry or makeup and would not consider myself to be "girlie". Mostly that's due to the fact that I get overwhelmed when I have to accessorize, which is a personal problem, I know. I'm sure when hubby brought me home to meet his heavily dolled-up family they probly thought "Oh Great! He moved to Austin and got himself a hippie. Bet she doesn't even shave her toes." But as I started to creep by *ahem* thirty, I noticed my face needs a little more, er, work, thanks to being a sun goddess most of my life. I just recently started using "product" to cleanse instead of bar soap. And even tho I tend to buy all my cosmetics (read: Cover Girl) at Walgreens, I thought I'd check out what I was missing at Sephora yesterday since I had to go in for a specific non-makeup product. Walking in, I'm sure I had a bit of a deer-in-headlights look on my face. It wasn't long before an associate offered help. She asked what I normally use for makeup and even tho I told her like 3 times, it was like it wasn't getting thru to her. I think alot of these nice ladies have a rote "Oh you have sunspots/agespots/dry skin/oily skin? Well let's try xxxx" spiel and a list of pre-set products to sample for customers. I could be wrong. But when this nice young lady offered to sample stuff on my face, I had an instant panic attack. I've been through the Mary Kay scary clown makeovers before and this associate was soo obviously over-made (as were several of the other salesladies), I got nervous. But to her credit, she introduced me to a very light tinted moisturizer and a High Definition "fixer" which will make my Cover Girl last all day :) and make me take prettier pictures (wha?? I dont' get that part but God knows I need help in that area). She failed to sell me on the $30 Kabuki brush for application. I'm not ready for that yet. So, yeah, I signed up for their little store club and will maybe go back someday, but it's still a bit overwhelming for me. But, if you see me in my new makeup and think I look as fresh as a dewy morning, thank Sephora...oh, and Cover Girl...and Dermologica...and a little Skinceuticals....Crap. So much for being low maintenance. read more

The store is small but located in a very nice area. The store was packed and no staff asked if I needed help. The only staff who was helpful was Ariel at checkout. I'm giving it a low star review simply because I felt like another dollar sign walking around. read more

This was my go to Sephora for years, but over the past several months I've been disappointed on every trip to this location. Two main reasons why: 1- It's hit and miss whether I'll be helped; today I was asked multiple times if I needed assistance, but I've gone in before (when store was equally busy) and been ignored. 2- Things I want are literally always out of stock. I'll even drop by several times over the course of 2 weeks and items are still out of stock despite being available online. It's very frustrating because this wasn't an issue I remember experiencing in years past at this store. Sephora at the Domain seems better but parking is inconvenient... so to Nordstrom I go. read more

So, I, uh, I recently hit the top tier for their rewards program, meaning I've spent entirely too much money at Sephora this year, so I feel like maybe it is time to finally write a review. This location is closest to my home, so it's the one I tend to frequent. (It was also the preferred location of a wonderful friend who introduced me to the beautiful world of makeup this year.) It's a little shocking to me that I spent so much on makeup, so let me try to justify this to myself... and others. I'm not the sort of person who wears makeup, or at least I wasn't. I never wore anything, if I had a special occasion, my Mom would do my make-up, and I owned next to nothing. I think I had one mascara, an eyeliner or two, and like some kind of Covergirl eyeshadow duo or something. Oh, and a foundation that was old and not a match for me. I wasn't very good at makeup, so I never bothered with it. But I always saw pictures of girls who were just so pretty and they used makeup to their advantage - flattering their best features and downplaying any flaws, perceived or otherwise. I'll never be an everyday makeup sort of girl, but I wanted to have the skill and knowledge to create a great look for when I needed one. Sometimes a girl just wants to look amazing, you know? I finally decided I wanted to be able to do that, too. Enter Sephora, with all its wonders and treasures untold. Over the course of this year, I have purchased all the things I would need to create said kickass looks. I got a foundation that matches my skin tone, a powder, a few eyeshadow palettes, an eyeliner or two, a highlighter, blush, and a few new lipsticks. (Obviously, I bought a lot more than that, but you get the idea.) I now own nice makeup and I'm pretty decent at putting it on my face in a pleasing manner. Next year's goal? Perfect eyeshadow blending. Who am I? I never thought I'd be that sort of girl and it is happening. Can't say I'm complaining, though. I've learned a lot from Youtube, my friend who has a makeup collection to end all makeup collections, the Internet, and the ever so wonderful Shannon. Shannon is basically my favorite employee here because she is so helpful and patient. (Not that the other employees aren't helpful, but I usually get Shannon and she is amazing.) Shannon helped me create a bridesmaid look for my sister's wedding just based off an approximation of my dress color. She never tries to sell me a ton of products and she gives honest recommendations. If she thinks the best product for you is only $20, then that's what she recommends. I love that because then I can make my tiny makeup budget stretch further and get the most for my money. (And she does not recommend bad products, y'all.) Shannon helped me find the right foundation, helped me find some skincare items, and taught me a lot of tricks. I really can't thank her enough. I'm definitely not the best at makeup or looking glamorous, but it's nice to know that whenever I get the urge to look my best, I can just stop by and someone will graciously offer to help. Who doesn't like looking and feeling beautiful? read more

Just went to Arboretum Sephora. My wife needed a couple of things. So I had her on phone to ask sales associate for help. Sales associate KATIE was rude, very short, and looked so bothered by me and my 7 yr old daughter being there. Didn't feel welcomed at all. She did find what we needed, but was really extremely rude. Checkout person was very nice but not shopping there again. We can get our products elsewhere. read more

I am a perfume-aholic! Or at least, a scent-o-phile. Anyone who knows me, knows I won't leave home without putting on some kind of eau-de toilette, body mist or perfumed lotion. The problem is, I used to spend a lot of money on bottles of perfume that ended up not being a good match for my personal chemistry. At Sephora, I can indulge my passion without investing a penny--they will make up to 3 tiny spray bottle samples of perfume or cologne. Each sample gives you at least 10 days' worth so you can try it before you buy it. read more

This is a five for Austin. Austin - Sephora should be so lucky to have you! You are so patient and kind - I really enjoyed learning some things today. If y'all can go to this Sephora I'd say do it! The experience is totally worth it. Thanks so much guys! I'll be coming back soon! read more

I've been shopping at this Sephora location for about 5 years now. It's conveniently 1 mile from home and has everything I need. I'm a total beauty junkie and love new product. So thankfully, Sephora has their "Beauty Insider" rewards program... to remind me of how much money I spend with them. I am now at the VIB status and aiming for VIB Rogue (my ultimate goal in life!) But no really, this is an awesome rewards program and I feel like I am always getting free goodies when I shop because points add up quickly. The product rewards are actually a really great way to get introduced to new "beauty must-haves" as well.... I've fallen in love with a few of them and gone back to purchase the full size item after trying them out at home. After my last shopping trip this past week though, I decided it was finally time to review this beauty mecca! I scheduled a Friday afternoon appointment for a free makeover. I've met a few of the Sephora makeup artists over the years who have recommended products, but I've never sat down to have a full makeover here. When I walked through the doors, I was greeted by a few of the staff members who walked me over to the area where I would be getting my makeup done. I was introduced to Carly Jacobsen (actually 're-introduced' because she had helped me in the store before.) Carly was absolutely fabulous!!!! I told her what I was looking for, and she gave me exactly that. She was very detail oriented, friendly, and professional. Taught me about all the items she was using, and explained why they were so great. I was SOLD....Bought about $200 worth of the items she used. I was so pleased with how the makeover turned out and it lasted all through the night! I definitely recommend coming to Sephora for a makeover before a special event, and think you should absolutely book your appointment with Carly! I'll be back... and plan to continue shopping at this Sephora for years to come. read more

Sephora is who I have an affair with when I need a break from MAC (even though MAC is really my numero uno). Put on a happy face..........here! I love THIS particular Sephora because it is outside in the Arboretum, rather than packed in a mall or in a JC Penney. I prefer these boutique types. I went in to Sephora with this list of my must haves (yes, I had to write down a list and you will see why): -Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant (try it, I cannot dissect everything I write about from this store because I would be writing for 50 years but if you have ever had deodorant issues, this will do the trick and can last a few months!) -Photo Finish by Smashbox -Kiss me Mascara by Blinc (I go between this kind, it tubes your lashes, and MAC or Lancome) -Ole Henriksen sheer transformation moisturizer -Perricone M.D. ceramic smoother for face -Sephora by OPI (HUGE bottle of nail polish for $9=awesome) -Frederic Fekkai Color Technician Shampoo/Conditioner -Small bottle of Lemon Sugar Cologne by Fresh -Benefit She-Laq (once you put your eyeshadow on, this will not budge) -NARS lip gloss in the pot (the best. Ever.) -Cargo bronzer -Philosophy Margarita shampoo, body wash and bubble bath (all in one bottle) -Caudelie face mask -Dr. Brandt Crease Release -Make Up Forever eyeliner and a bright shadow, and false lashes -Amazing Concealer I end up leaving with most of the above but also some of the following and still want to try more from: -Urban Decay -Too-Faced glitter face makeup -Tarte lipstick -Stila eyeshadow -anything Dior -anything Chanel -anything YSL -L.A.M.B. -DKNY -Givenchy -Buxom Lips -Jurlique -Clinique -LaVanila -Boscia -more Philosophy -Du Wop -Kat Von B -KEVYN AUCOIN -Peter Thomas Roth Lashes to die for (look out, Brooke Shields!) -The Clarisonic Plus Skin Care system (I am getting poorer by the second) -Sephora Power Mask -Kinerase c8 Peptide -Dr. Brandt Lineless Lines no More -Dr. Murad Acne Treatment -Bliss Body Soaps -Sephora brand items like tweezers, nail clippers, etc. -the bazillion perfumes -Christmas sets will be out sooner that we realize....uggggh :) WOOOOOO! So, when you walk into this wonderful place that can sidetrack you, just breathe, take your time, and I do advise going on a weekday rather than weekends if you really want to scope it all out. This place is pure makeup and personal product magic. Beautify yourself by creating your own platinum-quality diamond encrusted train case stocked with the best things in life! When you become a "Sephora Insider" (they send you emails) you will get points for every dollar spent (which is easy to do) and you even get free items, sometimes. I got a free Sephora brand lip liner. The Sephora brand is great quality, and a good place to start if you are not used to wearing makeup. You also get nice samples when you are an Insider. Sephora, as a store, deserves every star. They will let you sample items, too, just ask. While the prices may seem high, you really get what you pay for here, and these items will last you for months!!! I can only go here a few times a year just because I do not want to be wasteful and it can get costly! They have a great return policy, too, so do not feel stuck with anything (just return it promptly). One thing that slightly bothers me, though, are their contests. I have entered at least 12 of their contests, even sending them a S.A.S.E. like they say to in order to get a list of winners and they have never ONCE sent my S.A.S.E. back.....so I am wondering who is winning these Sephora advertised contests. ??? If you have not been to Sephora, and you like makeup or being girly....this IS YOUR PLACE!! It can really be a one stop shop and definitely try small items like when they have stocking stuffers at Christmas so you can better determine what works best for you before committing to the big spend. read more

Mostly, I'm happy to get my makeup from Walmart or CVS. When I go to buy makeup, I don't mind that I can get Red Bull and Hot Pockets in the same trip. But some high end products are non negotiable. I had a bizarre episode in the store a few years ago that really stuck with me, but generally their customer service and product selection is great. This incident took place when I came in to buy some Dr. Perricone products when at the age of 22 I came down with a wicked case of what I can only describe as narcissistic hypochondria. I needed a $598 bottle of face cream to rectify the damage life has bestowed upon me. Yeeaahh, growing up comfortably middle class and having my college paid for while surrounded by people who love me was really hard. What idiots 22 yr olds are. I was helped by a sweet, slender woman who probably had grandchildren my age. She spoke with a Georgia drawl, had a meticulously sculpted mane of pale beige hair, and enough makeup to grant her a full-ride to the phD program at Clown University. She showed me how to properly apply eye creams but she was so weirdly enthusiastic it kinda thru me off. B/c I mentioned I wanted eye cream b/c I was tanning, she asked if I ever have tried spray tanning. I said yes but I just prefer to fake n bake. She puts her index finger up to my nose in a cutesy gesture that says "I've got just the solution!" She lovingly takes my hand and leads me away. She picks up a cylinder with an orange cap and tells me it's spray pantyhose. Mmkay? She tells me if I chose a darker color, it can be a spray tan but b/c the consistency is that of pantyhose, it won't come off with my skin. WTF, lady? There are so many things wrong with this. For a moment a kinky Wall Street type with a fetish for body stockings I saw on Law and Order SVU flashes thru my mind. It being SUMMER in TX and all, liquid pantyhosing my entire body didn't seem smart. BUT here's where it got awkward. Even after my obvious disinterest, she takes it upon herself to spray it on my leg, gets on her knees and starts to rub this stuff all over my calf and thighs. Having an elderly lady on her knees go to work on you like that is so terribly uncomfortable. To make matters worse the pantyhose shade she chose was actually lighter than me so my leg was Michael Jacksoning right then and there. And this stuff really does have the consistency of pantyhose and is waterproof. A little embarrassed that it wasn't going as planned, she tries another shade, rubbing it onto my body with increasing vigor, only to make things worse b/c the layering was giving me a cadaver look b/c somehow they made gray. Long story short (too late), I just bought this useless $30 bottle of pantyhose only to get this lady off my leg. The way she was working it she could be making a lot more money elsewhere.. I walked out of the store with one normal fleshtone leg, and one in rigor mortis shade. I've gone back a couple times after that weird intimate incident and saw her and quickly grabbed what I needed and left. She doesn't work there anymore. Probably realized her true talent for unabashed stranger-rubbing and moved onto bigger better things. Or she's dead. read more

Sephora is one my favorite places to shop. Great service and products. I had to do an exchange today and Candy was really wonderful. I was concerned that my phone number was not coming up in the computer and have fixed it several times at the register. She explained what seemed to happen with phone numbers at the POS and sent me on my way with some free samples and my new mascara. I was not my best self due to irritation, and she was wonderful in trying to rectify the matter. A class act! Thank you Sephora for such wonderful customer service time and time again. In addition, I experienced great customer service from Nina on Friday. read more

The last time I was here was back in September, and for good reason. I came in after a long day at work and I was probably looking a bit disheveled. I suppose for this reason, I was ignored by every single staff member up until I got to the register. I usually don't need any help as most of the time I'm just browsing, but in this instance I was looking for something specific and got absolutely no assistance. I always love going to Sephora, but for this reason, I'm going to stick with doing my shopping online instead. read more

A true highlight of the shops that are left in the Arboretum is Sephora, the magical makeup wonderland. confession time: as a woman, i have to admit that i know little to nothing about skincare & makeup products and their application processes. i am not ashamed of this fact, though a little knowledge would come in handy at times like these. you see, i am a fairly simple & low-maintenance girl who doesn't want to spend a lot of time & money on things unnessarily. i've been to Sephora a couple of times to purchase perfume & to get advice on basic things like lip gloss, but this time i was in need of some serious schooling on skin care products. this is where a wonderful salesperson named Andrea comes in. she was simply lovely. i told her, to the best of my ability, what type of products i was looking for & what i wanted to achieve with them. she walked me around the skincare department, showing me several items (but not too many so that i was confused) that she thought might suit my needs. my internal calculator kept adding up these items until the total reached over $150 and i stopped keeping track. but wait! Andrea wasn't actually trying to get me to buy all of these things. she was letting me try some of them on, explaining how & when they should be used, & listing the benefits of each. and then she offered to give me samples of a few so i could try them out at home *before* spending any money at all. GENIUS! thanks to Andrea & her expertise, i feel like i will be able to make a more informed decision before making a final purchase. read more
