I was so happy to stumble on this store inside the Domaine in Austin, Texas. By Merely walking outside the store, I am overwhelmed by all of the wonderful aromas seeping into the atmosphere, absolutely luring one into the store. Upon entering the store, my eyes are delighted with all the beautiful colors and wonderful arrangements of soaps and lotions and bubble baths and lip balms and powders, and the list goes on. They are all made organically and by hand. They are all healthy and rewarding. I bought myself some bath bombs and some soap and some lipgloss and my very favorite, angels on bear skin facial scrub. Also got myself some wonderful socks and a beautiful bag that helps to fight animal testing and also helps women in India. Everything Lush makes and does has a purpose that is helpful to our humanity and environment. While I was perusing the store, I was greeted by the manager, Austin. He was a breath of fresh air. He says "hi, can I help you find something?" To which I said, "I need angels on bare skin", and he said I'll get that right now! We then had a conversation about lush items and lush history . Austin was absolutely a delight to talk to. I can't say enough nice things about him. I am a veteran lush user, and it is very unusual for someone to be familiar with the items that I want and like. I will be back at the store in two weeks when they are having a sale and I have no time constraints, and I will be looking for Austin to guide me. I'm very interested in the new products that I am not savvy about. I'm sure Austin can let me know about all of them. This is a wonderful store. I encourage everyone to try this, male and female. I've been a fan of Lush for years and always have their bath bombs stocked up! I used to order their stuff online but love to come visit the store so I can smell and see everything in person. Love the layout of the store that I can conveniently check stuff out (staff always willing to demo products too); and then check out. Staff are always friendly and helpful every time we come here. My favorites from them are their bath bombs for example - Intergalactic (mesmerizing colors) Twilight (pretty pink and smells good) and their enzymic facial exfoliation; "Happy Skin". It has tiny beads that are perfect for daily scrubbing and it leaves your skin clean and clear! I now add Happy Skin to my glass skin routine and couldn't be happier! The store didn't have a particular body spray in stock for me to sniff, but Zane was so knowledgeable and attentive, he was able to recommend other products in the same scent family. Came in to knock out early Xmas shopping about an hour ago. 1st thing we see on the left is a bowl of pink soapy water and cute pink cyclops bath bombs. We look around and circle back to the cyclops bombs. I'm watching them like a hawk. Within seconds an employee approaches: Employee says sternly to my kids: "Which one of you put that bath bomb in the water?" Referring to the bowl of pink soapy water. Me confused as hell: "We just walked up and that was already like that." Her reply: "It's okay, I'm not going to charge you for it." Me: "Well I wouldn't pay for it because we didn't do that and you can check your security cameras if you don't believe me." I wish she would have. Blonde shopper next to us says to all of us, "I just saw some teenagers do that." The employee then passive aggressively gives my kids a demonstration and comments (to them) that "what they're interested in are for sale and not supposed to be part of the demonstration." Are you seriously accusing us of something we didn't do and then calling us liars? And she kept it going. I pride myself on how well behaved my dudes are and I'm not the parent who lets them run around unsupervised. She kind of apologized after that (said the words, "I'm really sorry about that") but it felt very insincere - like it was part of her job to apologize. Who knows. I love this place - especially the hands-on aspect the company uses in their products. It's amazing to try a product before purchasing and the employees here are friendly and well versed on their products, ingredients, and best uses for each item. I've purchased many an item from here and I absolutely adore the shampoo bars for travel (liquid free=carry-on friendly!), but my latest trip was for a super hydrating conditioner that was recommended to me (Candy Rain, in case you were wondering!) I won't mention how much I spent here, but there was a Boxing Day sale going on and I definitely left with more than just the conditioner... The bar soaps are also great and I've personally enjoyed the rose-scented goodness that comes from here as well. What's nice is that there is something for everyone, because they carry such a broad range of products, scents, and ingredients! My sincere recommendation is to ditch all other soaps and creams, and head over to this business, and enjoy life more, by trying out what soap was truly meant to be, when soap was first invented. And it doesn't just extend soap, it also extends into creams, facial scrubs, balms, shampoos and just about every body care product you could spoil yourself with. But in a way that makes you feel connected with the people that work here, and with your friends who are going to inevitably comment on how good you smell, and who are going to want to borrow a little bit of your delicious smelling cream, because it's incredibly irresistible. I can't name an exact name of the people that I know who work here, and true there is a certain amount of turnover, however I could say, that they are absolutely 100% incredibly kind. The customer service is helpful, and the store is glitzy and organized with their organic, vegan, free trade, vegetarian, LGBT, local made, etc products. But natural products are a huge sham, and sadly the entirety of Lush is built upon that sham. The main demographic of the store is a bunch of hippie moms clutching at their pearls in regards to "unnatural" products, and fully embracing natural products. But something being natural doesn't mean it's good for you. Like mercury and arsenic. Those are both perfectly natural: They're on the periodic table of elements. P.S. Most of those "natural" orange, banana, and vanilla scents advertised on bottles are definitely synthesized in a lab. Totally not naturally derived from fruit itself. My first time here and it was a mad house on a Sunday afternoon! However, it was a really neat experience. I loved how all of the employees were super engaging and able to answer questions about their products intelligently and make educated recommendations. I also loved how you can try almost anything because there were samples everywhere. They even did bath bomb demos. I could do a lot of damage to my bank acct here, but I left with an amazing dry deodorant bar that made my soul happy and will make random strangers sniff me with appreciation. I just love a place that does something really well. Wanted to pick up a few bath bombs and other items to surprise my partner. Lush's website was easy to read, use and understand. Hey, if you're struggling to get your online business off the ground, check out their website to see how nice (and effective) a good customer interface can be. Ordered my items, checked their protocol for curbside pickup and less than 24 hours later I parked in the designated place, called to confirm I was ready and waited for my delivery. I stood outside the door to better eye the inventory, and heard the counter person very nicely greet a walk-in shopper with all their protections and protocol for in-person shopping in the age of Covid. The employee was pleasant and professional and of course looked amazing as you'd expect sales people to in this fashion forward environment. My salesperson arrived - looking equally well-dressed and accessorized - and handed me my package without getting close to me, touching me or being standoffish. They really have the Covid shopping experience down pat, and did I mention they have fantastic products? They do. Take it from someone who hears their partner happily splashing away in the bath - this is good stuff. Patronize these caring people. read more

I later went up to further apologize so they knew I wasn't being a dickhead or anything and they were like "it's fine " and I asked them for help finding something and (mind you they were not busy at all) and they told me the cashier next to them (who was actively checking someone out) would be able to help me and just walked away. Lush is usually one of my little happy places and I'm sorry but you cannot work in customer service and 1. Take things so personally and 2. Have such an attitude about it. I literally saw a Facebook advertisement on the sleep lotion and ran into a store after brunch. Everyone was so helpful and wanting suggest the best lotions and products for you. I have not tried the sleep lotion yet but the moisturizing lotion they gave me a sample of certainty works. I have been a fan of lush since I lived in NYC going on 10 years now...everyone at this store is super friendly and very helpful. Maybe sometimes a bit too all up in your face but they will back off if you don't want their feedback. Have always loved that you can pronounce most ingredients in all of their items for sale and how reasonably priced everything is and also see who made your stuff! I got a sample of the powdered deodorant so a still trying to figure out how to apply that but love their shampoo bar, face scrub, massage bar with some sparkles in it and body wash. My niece wanted to visit this store and I see why. It's a very unique style place selling different types of soaps. The minute I walked they offered to clean my hands in a soap solution and then used some moisturizers to make my hands soft. I loved the pampering and decided to buy the soap. The soap is made in cheese forms and pieces are broken off to sell. So basically you buy soap by the pound. The also have shampoo bars and facial remedies. Oh boy, my life has forever been changed by visiting this store. A curiosity turned into quite the credit charge. We walked in and were greeted by various friendly and VERY helpful staff members. I will always have good things to say about Lush since they literally saved my skin. A lot of people know them for bath bombs and "extra" beauty products but their face washes are my staple. I have a regular rotation of ocean salt, let the good times roll and angels on bare skin, and as long as I don't skip my twice-daily face washing regimen I do not get breakouts. It's been phenomenal. Not cheap but with results like that totally worth it. Products 5/5 The scent can be overwhelming when walking in for some people but I love it. The displays are colorful and tasteful. It feels like self-care to me. This store can get pretty busy but at some point during my visit I'm always approached by a friendly staff member who is more than happy to explain all of their old and new products and help me find exactly what I'm looking for whether it be for myself or others. They always make sure to incorporate my skin/hair type and texture/scent preferences with recommendations. I adore healthy no junk cosmetics and I'm addicted to the BIG shampoo. My hair is clean, soft and shiny after lathering up with this wonderful poo! It contains coconut oil and sea salt among other great botanicals such as citrus infusion, lime juice and orange flower. Recently, I found a delicious thick and lovely skin salve. "Charity Pot" is rich and soothing and when purchased a donation is made to a youth program supporting social and environmental justice. One of a number of giving back projects by Lush. read more

Keith, Rob, & Laura were absolutely wonderful! This store has been a favorite forever, however this location was extra special today. The attention to detail Keith gave will informing my sister and I of products - outstanding. When he went to lunch he introduced us to Laura and she continued to give an amazing mini facial to my sister. Rob saw me watching and asked if I'd like to try a new product and get a treat of my own! Heck, yeah I would. He gave the best massage and I bought everything he used. Keith came back from lunch and continued the stellar experience. Service makes the difference and I tell you I felt like family.
