This location is close to my heart because it's the first Sephora I ever went to. It's been here since day 1 of Downtown Disney's inception. OK, I'm done reminiscing. Sephora D.T.D is fully stocked with most products, fully staffed with M.U.A's in every aisle ready to help you find whatever you need and offers a playground full of make-up sample stations to beat your face with. The minor drawback is it gets crowded during certain times but it's still fun none-the-less. Some days it can be crowded with a million cheerleaders between the ages of 5 - 18 or if it's Christmas time, the line snakes through the aisles of the actual store making it difficult to shop. Why? Disney employees get a ridiculous discount one week out of the month of December. You think they could ask one of those Disney employees to get a proper queue going and provide crowd control tips. It's a mess, but I can say the line moves quickly as they have extra staff to help move things along. Some of my favorite products I'll vouch for from Sephora are: Urban Decay eye shadow, all the perfume, Living Proof hair care products (restore conditioner, full thickening cream, prime style extender cream), Korres wild rose moisturizer . So, if you came to the resort and forgot your makeup bag at home or need a quick spritz of perfume to enhance your natural aroma, make sure you stop in Sephora to get it covered. read more

Love all the staff here! They are beyond helpful and took the time to help me as well as my sister out. They provided us with incredible and personalized products. I made a trip to Downtown Disney with a colleague. When we saw that Sephora had a shop there, we knew we had to stop by. We were happy to find out that they validated parking, if you purchased a minimum of $20 in product. I was a little disappointed that the store wasn't Disneyfied. I was expecting that there would be a more extensive Disney themed makeup collection. In addition, the store decor was pretty typical of what you would expect of a normal Sephora. The in-store service was great. I asked for a perfume sample and one of the employees made it for me right away. I also tried to buy a concealer. I couldn't remember the color, so the employee tried to look it up for me. When we couldn't find it in my purchase history, she offered to color match, so we could find a new one. Although I didn't take her up on, I appreciated her patient with me and trying to help me get the right product. read more

They have an excellent selection of cosmetics, decent selection of perfume, hair and facial products. Customer service is good even when the entire shop is swamped with people. Came here today because I needed eye shadow. Left with eye shadow, mascara, limited edition collectors Snow White compact, toner and cotton pads (since I forgot my Chanel toner and cotton pads at home). Things have changed for the better with this location and their customer service, and I am so happy and relieved that the staff is continuing to work on better customer service. A simple smile and hello is the best way a customer can begin to feel welcome and experience the fun that make up shopping can bring you. I want to point out that Sam (the retail artist with the red hair) is always so sweet and accommodating to me and I really appreciate that. Greeted by friendly workers, always kept clean, and they are always eager to help. I like to come to this location to pick up items I need throughout the year, but I drop the most money on the Cast Member discount days! Twice a year for two back to back days, Cast Members receive a 20% off discount on the total purchase. For those that shop at Sephora often, you know that they don't have sales, so this is a big deal and normally a great turn out. read more

Ugh. What a turn off. I came in to change my BB cream color and needed help color matching. I asked someone who in turn explained there was a waiting list and she'd put my name down. She returned to tell me that there was only one person ahead of me and I'd be seen very soon. Great! So I waited.... 5 or so minutes go by and I see someone walk up to two girls to help them, I figured that must have been the person ahead of me and I'm next. Yay! Another 5 minutes go by and I see someone walking in my direction but then is stopped by a couple girls for questions... she then walks them over to an aisle and continues helping them with makeup. *shrug* I continue to wait... only to see another person walk up to someone else to see if they need help and starts color matching them! ugh. Ok... what's the point of a waiting list if none of your employees are checking it??? There's a reason systems are in place... but I guess no one got that memo. read more

Sephora reminds me of what a lady would dream up of all stores looking like if she was from Clueless. It is high end class with no tolerance for unskilled pretty workers. This place is packed with a lot of ladies that know a whole lot of information about every girls dream: make up, cleansers, hair products, organic products, celebrity owned and expensive brands as well. I always walk passed this Sephora every time I come to Disneyland but I'm glad the one time when I really needed some advice on certain products they were here to guide me through everything. Yes you might say girls don't need all these beauty products but..I want to ask you one question what about hydration and making your skin feel like a babys butt? I yearn for that and I really want it back. From all the diets people go on and unhealthy lifestyles it is sometimes a burden on your face and that is why you need some deep hydration products that will go into your skin and make it feel smooth like silk. So back to the story I went into Sephora...lady helps me..gives me suggestions and doesn't hassle me if I will buy it but of course I do because I have a problem..and end results. I am super duper satisfied that I bought it. Sephora is your one-stop shop for EVERYTHING beauty product-related !!! Service (6/5): It's like having my own beauty consultant! Right from when I entered the store, I was greeted by smiling faces. Gigi helped me with all my questions and suggested some of her own favorite products. I was looking for an under eye concealer, specifically the Dior skin flash concealing pen. The tester's content was empty, so she opened up a new package for me to use!! She also recommended me her favorite Smashbox under eye concealer if I desired more coverage. I was also in search for Kate Somerville's Eradicate product, but it was out of stock. Gigi gladly called another Sephora store that I will be near and they put the item on hold. SERVICE FIT FOR A QUEEN (I mean, princess). Product stock (3/5): Perhaps because it's a smaller store than the other Sephora retail that I'm used to, but items tend to be out of stock. Luckily, later that day I was going to be in the area of another Sephora retail store, so Gigi called that store to put the product on hold. [Out of Towner Review] I guess you can't go to Disneyland looking haggard... Normally I would never go into Sephora when I'm at Disneyland...I have one in Sac! But lucky for me, the Sacramento location is lacking on their merch because of a soon-to-be store move in Arden. So, I go in, fingers crossed, that they have the perfume I've been looking for. I couldn't locate it at first glance, however a really nice sales girl helped me out and new exactly what I was looking for, with a horrible description provided by me of course! No line, it was about 10AM on a Tuesday morning! The next sweet sales person I spoke with was very patient and sweet, as we tried to figure out my "insider" account to link my purchase for points. It took awhile; apparently it was linked to my high school e-mail address, how embarrassing! Problem solved, info updated, purchase made. I went for my full makeover for an event for my birthday I was going to, spent 500 points for the makeover with a friend. I asked for drama and glitter and my artist gave me a very flat, basic look. My friend looked so bomb with her glitter and color from another artist. I was so disappointed and had to go home and redo all my makeup so I could look a little better. I'm not sure if my artist was just not comfortable with a flashy look, but I was so very sad to leave as the birthday girl and have to go home and do my own makeup. Great makeup store, a square-shaped mid-size store, (every location is pretty much bright white, even the little ones in JCP) where I recently picked up some of my beauty club rewards (they vary and change), @ 100 points each. One person ahead of me in line at checkout. Helpful, nice staff, always get greeted at the door and offer any assistance (who always have a full face on, much like MAC clerks; ok, sometimes, I feel like a plain jane, but I like enhancing my features, not covering everything up and shellac-ing my skin). It was a quick trip this time, when we stop by the Disney Walk, we always stop in here. Since it's a mid-size store, doesn't carry everything in the catalog online, but most items are sprinkled in stock (Philosophy, Bare Minerals, & Pacifica are my favorites here). I used to shop at Ulta some years ago, but Sephora is so much superior and more accessible- in many of the major shopping centers back home. read more

I'm on vacation and wanted to use my 20% off Rouge discount. They were sold out of a lot of the items I wanted but I found one item so I head to the cashiers and she didn't greet me. I already had my Rouge info readily available on my phone so she didn't have to ask. She just scanned the item. Placed it in front of me and read me off my total. I asked her if I could exchange some points for items and she scanned it off and put it in front of me again. At that point I realized that she wasn't going to put the items in a bag so I grabbed it and threw it in my purse. She didn't thank me or anything. I was still in the store looking for friends to tell them about my service so they put their stuff back. I told them that I would also take the survey in front of another worker and I'm assuming they told her because she gave me a dirty look on the way out. I just smiled at her. I came here for a custom makeover and Areanna did amazing work! She's a manager and usually doesn't work the beauty bar, but because a few employees had called out, she was happy to cover for them. She was very professional and a great conversationalist. This Sephora definitely got extra points for accommodating my schedule; they normally don't take appointments when they first open, but I called a month in advance to ask if they could because I had an early wedding to attend at the Disneyland Hotel. They were so sweet throughout the whole process and I can't thank them enough. I felt bad because I like to take my time to get the best results whenever I go to get my makeup done, and so does Areanna, but she did an amazing job with the time crunch and also helped me find some products I wanted to take home before I checked out! Did SkinIQ for the first time and absolutely in love with how easy it was figuring out the best products for my skin. This Sephora isn't very local to me so I can't say when I'll be back, but I hope it's soon! read more

I came into the Sephora store to get the makeup by Mario . A young lady helped me get my "shade" first off I could tell she didn't know what she was doing i told her to match me with my correct skin color she only picked 2 . The lighting wasn't good in the store and she gave me a really dark foundation color when I kept telling her I'm very fair and she kept on persisting that I was on the more tan side she said she didn't really work on some of the foundations so my guess she was new ? Or didn't really know about makeup . I told her if can at least help me for a different foundation color more fair for my son she kept giving me darker colors and saying this is your color . Mind you I'm light I've been telling her that . Sephora needs to do more looking when hiring employees and more studying on color matching I wasn't even given the option for her to use the skin color match on there phones they have . I spend lots of money here so I'm expecting good service and a employee who knows makeup? , even another employee asked me if I needed help i told her yes! Can you color match me she responded sorry I can't you already have someone helping you . Then why did you ask if I needed help ? If you aren't going to help me ? Anyways Today I went to the brea location Sephora and they were much more help more friendly and actually new what they were doing and colored match me . From the moment I entered with my 3 friends a Sephora employee immediately started to follow us and was standing so close to us and the second she no longer had eyes on us she quickly started walked over to us again. They have the most amazing service here! If I lived a lot closer, I would come here for all of my Sephora needs. I came by yesterday after having reserved a product they day before. I reserved two items both high in demand. When I arrived at the park, the first thing I did was go into Sephora and pick up my item. When they went to go look for the item, they couldn't find the ones that had my name on them. I waited about 25 minutes in total for them to check the back, check their extra storage and they didn't have it. At first they offered me 20% off to compensate for not having the item. Then the manager came and gave me $10 off! Which means that my $22 without tax item was only $12! On top of that, the first employee who came to help me gave me a bag of samples for the wait. I think they went above and beyond to help me when they couldn't find the item I wanted. Awesome! read more

This place is like a crack house for the fashionably inclined... I sat outside and people watched while enjoying a book on my kindle, while my wife disappeared inside for an indeterminate amount of time. She managed to emerge hours later (that may be an exaggeration) without me having to notify the SWAT Team for hostage negotiation. I knew that I WASN'T GOING IN THERE! The bag she emerged with was approximately the size of a 10 pack of DVDs and, I'm sorry to report, contained makeup instead. She seemed very happy with her purchase, and that is usually enough... BUT, this is supposed to be a review, so I will review the result: She looks beautiful! This makeup, though it shares the approximate per ounce cost of solid gold, is wonderfully consistent and subtle. It actually seems like good quality stuff, and I can't argue with the result. It loses a star because, come on... There's no place for a man who doesn't want to buy makeup to relax in that place! read more

Came through for a custom makeover and Alissa who did my makeup was lovely. My makeup looked great and she was accommodating when I told her I only wanted to use cruelty free products. She was very knowledgeable and shared lots of tips and advice with me regarding my makeup routine. If I ever want to get another custom makeover done, I will definitely do it here. The beauty bar is also not as centralized as other Sephoras which I like, so people aren't totally zoning in on you while you're Makeup is getting done. On the down side, this Sephora is not as readily accessible as it is located inside Downtown Disney. For parking, it's 15 minutes free but then anytime after that needs to be validated. ($50 minimum purchase I think? Could be wrong.) Alissa and the lady behind the counter ringing me up were pleasant, however there were some other workers on the floor who were not as warm. This time around, I had a couple lady friends with me, and one of them just having their birthday the day before...she was able to get a small, free gift from Sephora. Ohhhh, FREE! It's a pretty huge store = a lot of variety = EXPENSIVE! I think my other friend ended up buying over $250 in stuff. WOW! Considering this store is located in Downtown Disney, I honestly didn't have high expectations of the service, expecting the store to be very busy; however, not only was it peaceful inside, but I received such amazingly personalized service -- and made to feel extremely appreciated and important. The staff members who assisted me were impressively knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and professional! I wasn't pressured into making purchases; I was eagerly offered samples! Their excellent customer service resulted in me spending more than planned -- and after my recent visit, I excitedly have more products to add to my Sephora shopping list. Downtown Disney is a great place to enjoy festive music and light window shopping. Unfortunately, often times it can be scorching hot outside and I need to seek refuge indoor. Sephora tops the list when I'm in dire need of shelfter. But unlike most of the shops I am able to get girl-lified and sample new products. I'm an amateur when it comes to make-up, but the sample options are plentiful and really allow me test out which product works best for me. I agree with the other yelpers in terms of service though. The sales associates aren't that friendly at this location, but it's okay since I'm usually beautifying myself in front of the mirror- vain much, ha! lol read more

I just went there and the girl didn't even take off my make up and put up some other make up on me and said it matched me and I was so gullible that I believed her and then I realized how is she going to know what matches if she didn't take off my make up and when I got home it is like a ghost on me!! We are supposed to trust these girls to find a right make up when they don't. I look like a fucking of snow. I'm going to return this and they better fucking take it back or else!! I tried it when I got home and could see and it's white I'm here flatten OK I told her I'm half Latin that my skin is a different kind of color. And she was just being racist because she picked out a ghost color on me. After I said that I was half Latin and I need a little color to me. They always have good products and cleanliness is intact but keep the customer service good all the way everywhere was super well people offering to help but once i went in the front to purchase the cashier doesn't even acknowledge you all she said was my total to me that's all she acknowledged me for.
