Once we had the information required, I asked for an email confirmation for the refund. They hung up. Called again, hung up. Come on guys, what the hell? So much so that it was noticed and commented on by the furniture store staff/management. It got to the point where the store staff members volunteered to help me move the furniture and to cancel the movers. In the end the job took them 30 min to complete. However I was charged $160 (CASH only) for 2 hrs worth of work. In addition when I booked the moving Matt told my wife not to take the draws out of the dresser and after wrapping with the plastic wrap they could not pick up the dresser so the had to unwrap (and then they never wrapped it again and move and damage draws and the added time to move all the draws which caused more time. First Rate went well above and beyond to fix an issue that happened during the move. The movers were very careful but in transporting a rather delicate bench, the arm was broken. Brian drove up to our house in Annapolis to repair it. And not only did he come once, but he came back a second time to make sure it was done properly and to our satisfaction. I would say that is pretty unusual in today's business environment. This was such a personal response that truly showed how these people care!
