They were excellent all around, from Amy, the moving coordinator, to Josh, Joe and Neil the three gentlemen that performed my move. Communication from Amy was clear, prompt and friendly. The movers arrived right on time for an 8 am start. They knew their stuff. In addition to moving a couch, desk, and chair among other items, they moved my 55" flat screen tv and my Queen-sized sleep number bed with no problems. They do charge an up charge to pack the tv into a specific moving box for flat screens, which I thought was fair and much better than them simply trying to wrap it. They worked quickly and were done loading in 90 minutes. They were also familiar with my new building and knew where to park to unload and quickly got me set up and everything was completed by 1 pm. Moving is stressful, and the movers saw me when I was not at my best, and their friendliness, good humor, and competence really helped me get through the day. I thought the pricing was competitive for a professional service. I did call other companies to compare, and one of them wanted to charge 3x the price to move the flat screen tv, and didn't want any responsibility for the sleep number bed!! Just silly. I Highly recommend Hopkins & Sons.

I originally reached out to A.F.M (AMERICAN FAMILY MOVER) in January 2025 to discuss my family's…read moremove from Nevada to Virginia in June 2025. "Daniel K." - who I have not heard from since - provided a moving quote of 650 cubic feet and $3,575 for a THREE BEDROOM home with furniture and 60-70 boxes. I have no clue what happened to Daniel, but somehow I was passed along to an "Adrian". In March, we agreed to pay an additional $873 for moving/packing supplies, which increased our total to $4,448. Daniel, Adrian and their website does not disclose that they are a broker. Total deposit paid to AFM was $1,112. This email provided is labeled "BINDING MOVING ESTIMATE." Two weeks before the move and I have heard nothing from AFM. I call, and Adrian is not available, and I am speaking to someone new, named "Ray." I knew that there were different amounts I needed to pay (deposit, pickup and drop off) and I wanted to clarify them. 28 minutes on the phone with Ray and he was able to give me no answers. Ray could not even tell me the amount that I had already paid AFM. On 06/09/25 I called and was able to speak to Adrian, who was able to give my payment breakdown and let me know someone would call the night before to set up times for pickup. I told Adrian about my unsatisfactory call with Ray, and he gave me his work schedule and the best times to get ahold of him. I told Adrian this was making me very nervous, and I was assured that this was a one time slip up- and that Ray was just new. This would be the last time I spoke to Adrian. I didn't get a call the night before, I got a call three nights before, and asking if I would be ready for pickup the next morning. I declined, and said Monday is still the day for us. Sunday night comes, no call. Monday morning, I wake up at 6am Nevada time to call Adrian, because he told me he would be in office "ready to help!". I get Ray again. 32 minutes of being on the phone, we finally figure out who my movers are going to be and instead of them arriving in the morning, as promised, they arrived to pack up my three bedroom home at 630pm. The four men who showed up (Master Moving and Storage) had our items packed, sitting in the street, said that we needed to pay more. Stating that calling the police wouldn't make a difference, and gave us a piece of paper to write a positive review while they stood and watched us. The paperwork provided from the man said we had 33 boxes(37 less than what we had planned on) but blamed it on our "furniture". Which was all disclosed in our binding estimate with AFM. Clearly outnumbered, and backed into a corner, we were terrified- and all of this occurred after hours (9pm) when AMF wouldn't answer the phone. The frontman, who appeared to be the one who spoke the most English said our new total was $8,200 and told us we needed to call our financial institution to make sure the charge went through. He said we would be emailed paperwork, that was never received. Pickup happened on 6/16 and it is now 6/25. Our BINDING estimate from AMF states first available delivery date is 6/23. Obviously that date has came and went, without hearing a from ANYONE. We call, of course, Ray, is the only one available. Ray says now that we have a window of 21 days for our items to be delivered (not in our contract, nor disclosed to us) We asked Ray if he had been leaving messages for Adrian - our moving specialist to call us, and he gave us the run around. Obviously he is ducking our calls. Our furniture was delivered on 6/30- before unloading the truck, the men demanded money orders for our outstanding balance. We have unpacked our boxes, and several items are damaged, or flat out missing- some missing items include several bottles of Chanel perfume, Tory Burch sandals, and my Dyson hair dryer. No care or effort was put into packing the boxes, and broken glass almost sliced our forearms open while opening the boxes. An open oil air freshener was placed in the box, destroying matryoshka dolls that I have had since I was a girl, that family members brought to me from overseas. Several items of furniture are also damaged. We called on 7/21 and spoke to a "Gay" who said Adrian isn't available- again. We sent an email at her request to show damage(s) by including the details and several photos, but they still have not responded. AFM has been non responsive with my phone calls, or emails since they originally started on 6/14/2025. ***keypoints: *Moving company did not honor a binding estimate. *The broker provided estimates much lower than the actual charges from the moving company *moving company did not provide me with an opportunity to view the weighing/space measurement *broker misrepresenting itself as a mover. Website didn't indicate broker status nor did broker mention it when arranging the move.

Collected payment and received a shipping label and didn't even tell me for days. The problem was we don't have a computer or printer so I had no way to print the label (we're on iPads here and who really prints things anymore??). So we were going to have to print at the library, which was never open when I was not working. Finally just decided to pay postage again myself because my child was getting heat for not yet sending the package. Went to post office and they had no tape. On my way to the store to get some, drove past the mailbox store and decided to go in. They took my books, provided the priority box, taped it up themselves and printed my label and gave it to the post man while I was waiting. All for the price of the priority postage I already paid. To top it off they were so nice. Please use this business for your shopping needs! You won't regret it with the service they give & you'll be keeping a small business going.

My experience with All My Sons Moving (32 Coles Ave, Cherry Hill Township, NJ and All My Sons…read moreCorporate Office in Texas) has been the worst service experience I have ever had, and their public ratings across major platforms reflect exactly why so many customers report similar issues. Across multiple review sites, this company consistently scores poorly: * Google: Approximately 3.9 stars, with thousands of reviews * Yelp: Approximately 1.5-2 stars, with a long history of complaints * Better Business Bureau (BBB): 1.97 stars across more than 1,000 customer reviews, despite being "accredited" These ratings are not a coincidence -- they mirror the exact problems I experienced. Please don't take the chances that I did and use this company. You'll be very sorry. I hired All My Sons for what should have been a simple, professionally handled move within Pennsylvania. Instead, the company sent a crew from their New Jersey branch, and from the moment they arrived, the situation was unacceptable. The movers smelled strongly of weed, and the odor was so overwhelming that it transferred onto my belongings, the moving blankets, and into my home. Despite being quoted $1,500 for a move that originally included far more items than we ultimately needed moved, the crew stalled for hours, took an unreasonable amount of time to get set up, and barely worked. They attempted to charge us $200 per hour for 12 hours to move fewer than ten pieces of furniture and no boxes--time that was inflated entirely due to their own lack of productivity. They even took apart furniture unnecessarily, removing every screw they could find, and then struggled to reassemble anything, which appeared to be a deliberate tactic to keep the clock running. To make matters worse, they forced us to pay immediately before unloading the furniture, even though the job was nowhere near complete and their performance had already been unacceptable. They refused to allow me to inspect my furniture after they brought it in. They were holding my furniture in their truck until I provided the person on the phone with a credit card to pay for the move. By 10 p.m., exhausted and frustrated, we had no choice but to let them leave. My husband and I ended up moving most of the furniture ourselves, unwrapping and assembling items they were supposed to handle. The next day, we had to take two cars and make multiple trips just to move basic items like totes and clothing bags--items we specifically hired them to move. Damage Discovered - In daylight, the true extent of the damage became clear. The movers had: * Drilled holes through three credenzas, including over ten holes on the wrong side of two of them * Split a 500+ lb wooden and marble credenza by placing it on its side on a dolly instead of carrying it properly * Stained my couch * Broken a $1,500 art piece * Scratched $1,200 chairs Their lack of training and care was obvious, and their behavior raised serious concerns about whether they were under the influence while handling our property. Claims Process & Geoff Burgess I filed a claim for nearly $10,000 in damages, providing receipts, photos, and videos--evidence the company was aware of from the moment the damage occurred. Since my move at the end of December, I have been going back and forth with All My Sons for months. It is now March, and they have: * Refused to settle * Refused to explain their employees' behavior * Refused to address the lack of training or drug testing * Refused to replace or compensate me for the extensive damage The claims representative, Geoff Burgess, has been a complete roadblock. He: * Refuses to review any of the material proof * Refuses to provide documentation * Refuses to acknowledge the severity of the damage * Blocks any attempt to escalate the issue I even tried going to his supervisor and to customer service, and no one will do anything. Every path leads back to Geoff, who simply repeats the same scripted denial. Their final response was that their insurance would only cover $644 under "limited liability," and they refused to refund the $1,500 I paid for the move. The local NJ operations manager initially told me he would speak with his partner and call me back. He never did. I have texted him multiple times and left a voicemail with no response except to speak Geoff in claims. The company also refuses to let customers speak directly with their executive team, forcing all communication through an internal division that shields them from accountability. I even tried reaching out on LinkedIn to the chief customer officer of all my sons in their corporate office in Texas. Conclusion - This company's behavior is unacceptable, and their pattern of ignoring customers, denying valid claims, and hiding behind internal processes is exactly why they have low ratings on Google, Yelp, and the Better Business Bureau. I wish I had looked more closely at those reviews before hiring them. Don't make this mistake!
