We loved the Sentient Bean and it's such a cool and cute coffee shop right by the park. The food came pretty timely on a Sunday morning and the lines were pretty nonexistent. Would recommend for anyone looking for coffee and grub by the park. Vegan options too!

Not the best matcha or peach tea. Searching for the best around the world. If this made you think, wait until the next review.

Not great, not good. We tried the peach tea and the raspberry matcha with almond milk -- both were bland and lacked any real flavor or purpose. The cheese quesadilla was decent, but honestly, if you can find another spot, go there instead. This one's not worth it. And the ambiance was blah! Two stars for the quesadilla and the girl that helped us was sweet.

Coffee was great, Nice atmosphere and pretty busy but the line moved fast. Ordered the banana walnut slice and it was good. However it was cold and I would have liked it better heated in a microwave but didn't see one and they seemed too busy to ask.

VIBES. Cute little neighborhood coffee shop with a great selection of coffee beans and tea. And pleasantly surprised that I came on an open mic night. Again. VIBES. Atmosphere is cozy. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Kudos on the lavender blueberry poppy loaf.

Decent. Had cold brew and an iced latte. Reminds me of Starbucks. Cafe is kid friendly and less expensive then most coffee shops

Great spot right off Forsyth Park courts area... traditional style coffee house that has good quality coffee as well as great veggie fare. The omelet is quality & doesn't set you back at around $7 bucks for a few toppings Pro tip - their backyard patio (pictured) may be one of the most underrated spots to chill out in all of Savannah Good vibes from the staff make this a desirable place

Recycling friendly

I wish I could give this place a better rating because they have a great location near Forsyth park but I would not recommend coming here. First off, this is a vegan café so there are no meat options. Secondly, the cashier had G-string panties on which were visible and came off as unsanitary to me if she pulls them up throughout the day. Coffee was mid - at least it was cheap though. Their lattes might be better but due to the uncomfortable seating and better coffee shop options available I probably WONT be coming back. So sorry! I'll be happy if I hear things change.

Friendly service greeted me, and the line proved helpful so that I could peruse their large chalkboard menu. The Quiche du Jour with cheddar, black beans and chipotle - yes, please. It was tasty, hot and needed salt. My medium roast coffee hit the spot. Would I return? Yes, if it was convenient! This busy spot has an industrial, cavernous, garage feel with eclectic artwork dangling from a picture rail. There's some counter type seating along the windows and 2 and 4 top tables. A thorough interior pressure washing would go a long way here - if only there were floor drains.

I was headed to the store next door and this coffee shop caught my attention. It was so packed on a Thursday at like 10 am. I had to go in and check it out. It's a cute little place. There are lots of places to sit and hang out for a while. There are a few seats outside as well. One of the employees told me all the cups, lids etc are all biodegradable. I thought that was pretty cool. I didn't feel the lid was flimsy or less than like some products like that can be. I ordered a chai tea and a croissant. The chai tea was okay. I think it maybe needed to be mixed a bit more. I may try it again. The croissant was amazing. It was light and buttery, just like you want your croissant to be. They have a whole display case of treats so I am coming back to try something new. I ordered a cappuccino and a croissant for my daughter and she loved it. I love finding a new coffee shop to frequent. It's right beside Forsyth Park.

Loved this place. Food was delicious and ambiance was eclectic. The only thing they could improve on would be serving Kombucha.

Patio furniture was comfortable. Our waitress, Nicole, was great. No complaints. Will go back here when we are in town.

Unfortunately, my experience last night left a bad taste in my mouth. We were seated in the lower dining room. Everything was going well with good service and delicious drinks... and then I spotted a cockroach crawling under our table. Of course, we are in the south & I am willing to overlook the odd roach here and there. However, when a second one emerged from the hallway, my confidence that this was just a one-off incident tanked. By the time our food arrived, our focus had been diverted to be on roach alert. Unfortunately, the food also missed the mark--overly salty and bland at the same time. None of this aligns with The Public I know and love, so I am really hoping this was just an off night. Might be taking a break from this place for a while.

The host was immediately rude and irritated that we didn't have a reservation, despite the restaurant being nearly empty on a Tuesday afternoon. The food was awful--think Golden Corral, but worse and more expensive--and definitely not worth it if you don't like seafood. Our server told our toddler he'd get a pirate-led tour of the tunnels if he behaved, which was a big reason we came. After eating, we were told there was no pirate on staff and no tours at all. Our son was disappointed, and things got even worse when the manager walked by and knocked his Dum Dum out of his hand without apologizing, just saying he could get another one. TLDR; Total waste of time, garbage food, tourist trap, false advertising, and rude staff.

I love Greek food and I always enjoy venturing out to new restaurants. I went in on a Wednesday. My waitress, Hannah, was amazing. I cannot thank her enough for the level of service and the overall hospitality I experienced here. She let me try some wine, before I decided to commit to one. I also was provided a complimentary appetizer and she said "OPA" with me. It was truly an experience. I decided to try the branzino and I'm so happy I did! The fish was seasoned to perfection- it was fresh and light. I enjoyed it with their rice/peas and you have to have the Greek lemon potatoes. The food in itself had me wishing that I had more time to try more entrees on the menu. I had lived in Savannah for over three years and had neglected to visit them. I took the Greek lemon chicken home and Hannah packed me a little dessert to enjoy. I had mentioned my apartment was packed and she packed me extra silverware and napkins to go. She put the most level of CARE into my visit and I'm so grateful she was my waitress. Final Verdict: I will be stopping by whenever I'm in the area again. This has to be one of the best Greek restaurants, if not the best I've tried in my life.

Open only until 2:00 PM, if you're looking for breakfast, brunch or lunch, this is the place to be. Arriving at just about noon, the place was packed, but not unpleasantly so, with customers that quickly moved through the ordering process, past the register, and to the ample seating, of their own choosing (with limited outdoor seating available; but not preferable at the time, due to the spotty showers that also choose to attend). Beverages are provided as payment is being made, leaving no thirst unquenched. Needless to say, seating is immediate. With a cup of rich, flavorful, house blend coffee in hand, my daughter, Son in Law, and I found a seat with a great view of the market activities happening outside only moments before our meals were served. The Italian Panini, chock full of succulent mildly spicy meats and lettuce, covered proportionately with dressing (yes, I was given my own bite size sample) , was my daughter's choice; a visually appealing (although not personally sampled) breakfast platter was the pick of the day for my Son in Law; and, Salmon BLT, composed of one thick, juicy piece of salmon, bursting with flavor, accented by a slice of smokey bacon atop a crisp bed of lettuce, slathered in a mild, but tasty, mustard based sauce, between two halves of a soft , flakey, croissant that more than rivaled the size of an average hamburger bun, was my choice. It did not disappoint. At just under $45.00, before tip, all of this seemed like a bargain. If there could be a downside to this experience, and I would say there couldn't be, it would be that, when visiting Savanah, choosing the place to eat jus became a bit more difficult, with Goose Feathers now in contention.
