Why won't they let me put zero stars??? DONT EAT WITH THESE CLOWNS!!!!!. Made a reservation months ago, and it was confirmed. I walk in exactly at the correct time, and some inept manager/worker tells me they have been calling me all day to confirm the reservation even though I was already confirmed months ago. I WAS ALREADY CONFIRMED and this genius tells me he was calling me all day to reconfirm. Why would I need to reconfirm if you already have my confirmation? And even then, why wouldn't you tell me you need to reconfirm the day of it that's part of your protocol? These clowns purely did not care, and gave away my table of 8. I came all the way from the states looking forward to this meal here and these guys were rude, and did not care to make anything right. In fact, they made it seem like it was my fault. Bunch of clowns... I wish I could spend more of my trip trying to troll all of their establishments and write scathing reviews. Oh, and this is all after I was redirected to all 4 of their establishments. I've eaten all over, and I don't care how potentially good their food may or may not be. It's been a year since I've been to Sensi and I still dream of their tapas. We got the patatas bravas, ham croquettes, chorizo and seafood paella. Not only was everything cooked to perfection, it was also perfectly seasoned. I mean melt in your mouth good. If I had to make a complaint, I would say the seafood paella was a little fishy (but still good!). The service was amazing. On the other hand, it was a bit pricy and touristy - not exactly a local Spanish pub that we were looking for. If you find the prices are a bit high for your budget, you're unfortunately forced to order at least 3 items per person (so no filling up beforehand or after). Some of the dishes were interesting but not quite up to par, like the sausage. But I recommend the fois gras croquettes, the fennel salad, and the sea bass. The server was super friendly and recommended some of the standout dishes which were amazing! By far, one of the best tapas restaurants I visited during my stay in Barcelona. I've recommended this restaurant to several friends and they all agree that it is delicious and always a fun time. Came here for dinner one night with friends and what really stuck out to me was how private, quaint, and dark this restaurant is. It really feels like its just you and your friends out for dinner without anyone else in the restaurant. We ordered the batatas bravas which were amazing! Whatever sauce they used, BRAVO. The burrata was great - they offered three different types, forgot what the name was but the sweeter one is great. The truffle ravioli was so so so tasty and unlike any other truffle "anything" I've had (TOTALLY recommend). We also tried the seafood paella which was generous in all the seafood and exceptionally tasty. For being tapas, the portions are pretty reasonable. The vacation life is blissfully easy - your OOO message is on, currency starts to resemble Monopoly money due to the exchange (sometimes I'd rather not know, okay?) and your first glass of cava may or may not be consumed before noon. But finding restaurants that are open on Sundays in Barcelona? Not so easy. Undaunted by the challenge of finding fantastic fare our first evening in Barcelona, we put the Yelp app to the test and followed the moving blue dot on my mobile to a little restaurant in the Barri Gòtic neighborhood. Guess everyone else had the same idea, because Sensi was deliciously alive and kicking. Fortunately, they had exactly two seats left at the bar and my friend and I recognized the opportunity and zeroed in. The concept at Sensi is one that celebrates the old and flirts with the new. Though you can certainly enjoy classic Catalan tapas (we did), you can also try Asian-influenced dishes such as mussels swathed in a red curry, grilled prawns kissed by a mango chutney or Iberian pork tataki. Verdict: all are swoon-worthy, though I'd recommend staying away from the paella (a little birdie shared that it isn't made-from-scratch). And if they have the burrata that the local farmer delivers every morning, do get it! You'll find yourself making excuses to come back for the decadent cheese with a creamy center. It's no joke, friends! The vino tinto flowed (the house selection is excellent!) and we became fast friends with the handsome, disarmingly charming barkeep. We were also befriended by a married couple from Rotterdam who in the end seemed to be seeking new friends for a... how do I say it? A casual encounter. Um, no! However, the evening was still crazy and wild and spontaneous and fun by our good ol'-fashioned standards. This place was so good that my husband and I went here twice during our time in Barcelona. We wanted to try as many places as possible but we just couldn't resist coming back. We first stumbled in here our first night in town. It was you, Yelp, that led us here. We were looking for a good tapas place actually opened on Sunday night. After some delightful seafood at a place whose name I can't remember (sad that I can't write a Yelp review, as we kind of stumbled upon it), we landed at Sensi. We didn't have a reservation so we waited 15 minutes, sipping some wine as we did. (All of this cheap and readily available wine was such a novelty to us Utahns. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND.) We sat down at our table and looked at the menu. We were just going to order a couple of things, but saw we had to order a minimum of four. This was weird, but we just decided we'd be really full when we were done. It's all good. So, our choices: paella (I know...), suckling pig (finally! and in tapas format) and the chorizo and goat cheese salad because we thought they might be small. OH MY GOD. So that goat cheese salad was really good, but it was a salad. I can't say a whole lot. And suckling pig! My quest to eat this had been thwarted up until this point on our trip, and it was so tender and wonderful and the little bit of crispy skin was AMAZING. I wanted more, but i didn't want to be greedy. The paella was definitely the best we had on our trip. Perfectly seasoned with very fresh seafood. But the biggest surprise was the chorizo. It came out looking like a thing of cocktail smokies you would enjoy at your grandma's house while watching football (the American variety), so I may have underestimated it. But that rich, wonderful flavor. It was mind blowing. And then we came back on Wednesday night for our last meal in town. We got some of our favorites from last time (chorizo, paella) with some other delights. From fresh seafood (tuna tartare, sea bass ceviche, squid) to some Asian stir fry, to that wonderful duck they're so known for, it was a treat again. Excellent decision to come back. The boyfriend and I stopped in here for sangria and a few tapas before heading to another dessert only restaurant. I can't say the food was bad or the prices were outrageous. In fact everything we ordered was quite good and the bill was very reasonable. But unfortunately I found this place to be incredibly touristy. Let me explain why: Since we were headed elsewhere for a five-course dessert tasting later we wanted to keep it light. When we placed our order for only three tapas we were informed there was a four tapa minimum. A tapa minimum, REALLY?! They also added a cover charge and bread fee to the bill. This did not happen anywhere else during our trip in Barcelona. Then when they processed our credit card the server asked us if we wanted to add anything to the total. This seemed to me like they were trying to take advantage of American tourists who don't know tip is typically not added in Europe.
