Came here for a team lunch on a Friday afternoon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a beautiful space, with a beautiful view of the Ferry Building and the water.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food, however, was just ok. The appetizers were hit or miss. The beef carpaccio, for example, was bland - no flavor or salt whatsoever. Some of the skewers were tasty, but the servicing size was quite small. The summer squash pizza was a solid main. For the price point, I would have expected better seasoning and execution of the dishes. The service was alright to start, and the waitstaff were friendly, but slowed down around halfway through the meal, and we spent over 2 hours in the restaurant given how slow the service was.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I've eaten lunch here a couple times with coworkers due to its convenient location and great views and all in all, a pretty solid spot for your authentic Mediterranean fix.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My team reserved a table for 10 in advance and the staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Water glasses consistently filled and food checked in on. I've always had positive experiences with the items here; paella is one of the standouts. This time, I tried the arancini appetizer and the clam and shrimp linguine for my entree and both were delicious! I also loved the flourless chocolate cake for dessert, very decadent and chocolatey. Can't really go wrong with anything on the menu here, though expect them to be on the pricier end. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Outside seating here is the way to go if you want the aesthetics of the Ferry Building scene.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

we went to Sens during Tuesday lunch and ordered the pita spread, calamari and the clams linguine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]overall, the restaurant has the aesthetics but everything else is ok.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] our server was ok and wasn't too nice. the pita spread is decent and the calamari is decent. it wasn't amazing but it also wasn't bad. it was a little pricey for the portion. the clams linguine was a little bit below average because the portion was a lot smaller than i expected and didn't really fill me up even with the apps. most importantly, the clams had a grainy taste to it and it seems like it wasn't cleaned well because it almost tasted like there were still sand in it. at the end of the meal, there was so much butter on my plate that i was a little surprised by the amount of butter that was added

Went to Sens on a Friday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was semi-busy, but we were seated promptly and had a great view of the Ferry Building.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was lovely, and I appreciated that they offered multiple non-alcoholic beverage options which was a nice touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the setting. The hummus on the Mediterranean plate tasted off and very bland. The pita bread was nice. Even the aioli that came with my kiddo's fries seemed separated and overly oily, so we chose not to eat it. The lamb ragu pasta was lacking salt and also quite oily. The paella was just okay and leaned heavily on chorizo, not what I'd expect for a $49 dish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, we left feeling unsatisfied with the food and service while the ambience and view being the highlights[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I came here for a team lunch and I had the Sens burger and the Mediterranean spreads. The burger had a delicious buttery brioche bun, and the fries were yummy! The spreads were all delicious and the pita was warm and fluffy. Service was good, we had our waters get continually topped up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant comes with a beautiful view of the Ferry building.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely come here again.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very awesome restaurant, with great ambience, comfort, great food and excellent service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sens has been a SF stable for nearly 20 years. The restaurant is tucked away near the Hyatt Regency / walking‐bridge area in San Francisco. at the 4 Embarcadero Center, Promenade Level above ground, and is a local / business area favorite. Service is always on point, professional, knowledgeable and prompt. Food is always fresh and great tasting. For a business lunch, they also offer a 2-course at $38 and 3-course at $42. Great restaurant with great food!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Good spot for a corporate happy hour, but the bar gets pretty loud and there isn't that much seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Location can't be beat since it's right on the Embarcadero and they also have an outdoor patio overlooking the bay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a happy hour menu 3:30-6pm. We ordered the following: - Charcuterie board $22 - good, but nothing unique - fries $9 - ok - Mushroom and Pepperoni pizza - both $22 were delicious - hummus platter $19 - ok - arancini $12 - comes with 4 and delicious Also had the sangria and it was a pretty generous pour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, good vibe, and atmosphere for quick happy hours.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Note: the bathroom is a bit hard to find, but in the middle of the restaurant with blue lights above.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here for HH after work. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Was able to sit outside and enjoy the air and nice views of the ferry building, water, and surrounding area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant itself is quite charming too but I really enjoyed being out on their patio as they are up on the 3rd floor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got the sangria and a couple of bites. To me their sangria tasted watered down and not as flavorful as others I have tried. Their pita was served warm and well seasoned. I liked all the dips. They tasted fresh but could have used a bit more seasoning. We ordered the Lamb skewers since the menu said they had a pomegranate sauce which sounded great but when we got them the sauce was nowhere to be found nor could we taste it. A side of it would have been nice to have. Service was great and our server was friendly. Overall, nice views and atmosphere but both food and drinks could use more flavor. Maybe I'd try something different next time.

Ate here on a recent trip to San Francisco. The service was excellent and [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the view of the Bay Bridge.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friend and I shared both the black cod and the pork chop. The latter was good but not easy to share. My cousin had the Brussel sprouts and paella, which was large enough to take some home. She also started the meal with the arancini and let us taste. I'd never had it before but it was delicious, with great texture outside and in, and I will try again next time I have the opportunity. She didn't like the espresso and only had one sip, but I didn't ask for details. She did like the soft serve dessert, which was a very large serving, and every time she thought she was done, she would continue to go back for more bites.

This space is really beautiful but every time I come in, it's always without reservations and all their tables are usually booked so I would recommend making a reservation. They have a lot of work events at this spot. It's a little tricky to find this place, but you have to go up to the second or third floor and it's right next to the hotel. The food is pretty good, but I've only ordered things on the happy hour menu so I need to try more.

This place I will forever hold close to my heart. A couple of years ago, my now husband reunited here after so many years. We recently went back, and I think we ordered the same thing. The jalapeño corn bread and the friend chicken. We initially just wanted to stop by for drinks but after talking for so long, we decided to order and early dinner. The ambiance is always amazing since you have an amazing view of Embarcadero and also playing great music w a DJ!

Sens was perfectly fine. We went as a group of six for happy hour just to get a couple of drinks. Sitting outside was nice as you could get the mix of the cold air as well as the nice warm glow from the heaters. The service was a bit slow but I suppose for happy hour it made sense. There was a big reunion happening at the same time so a lot of attention was being paid there as well. The drinks aren't nothing to rave about and they are quite privy. Even the non alcoholic mixed drinks for some reason are always very expensive which just doesn't sit very well with me. Overall, a nice place to sit and look out onto the Embarcadero but nothing worth going out of the way for.

Sens is yummy! We stopped by for a team happy hour and it was a beautiful ambiance. Keep in mind the happy hour menu portions are very tiny and I would double servings if you're coming here with a large group. The lamb skewers and burger were really good! Everything else was good as well but didnt stand out to me. Service is great and accommodating, they were packed when we went but I felt like they gave us adequate attention especially as a large group. I

This is a first ...chicken paella no shrimp or seafood at all. Weird.

STOP. DROP. EAT…read more This place is an absolute gem. Food: We started with the clams and mussels, and they were phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and soak every last bit of that broth up with the bread--you won't regret it. Don also surprised us with complimentary scallops, and wow... next-level fresh. Some of the best seafood I've had. Drinks: Hands down the best margaritas I've had in California so far. I also watched Don make a Bloody Mary, and it was like watching someone craft a work of art. Every ingredient was intentional, and you could tell it was made with genuine care. Service: This deserves to be at the top because it's what made the experience unforgettable. Halfway through our meal, I realized my incredible bartender was actually the owner. Don is one of the most humble, genuine, and welcoming people you'll ever meet. His sons and daughter all work in the restaurant, and there's even a photo on the wall of his great-grandfather smoking a cigar while cooking crabs. This isn't just a restaurant--it's generations of family, tradition, and passion served on every plate. You can feel the heart behind this place the moment you walk in. Thank you, Don, for the outstanding hospitality, the amazing conversation, and a meal we'll be talking about for a long time. We'll definitely be back.

(3/5) I've been coming to this restaurant for many years,…read moreand this was the first visit that left me disappointed. Overall, the food was good, and the service was okay. However, the clam chowder tasted much more like potato chowder than clam chowder, with very little clam flavor. The bread was served warm, but it quickly became chewy, which made it seem like it had been heated in a microwave rather than baked fresh. What stood out the most was the condition of the restaurant. It looked run-down, dated, and, unfortunately, not very clean. After many years of enjoying this place, this was the first time I noticed how much it seems to have declined. I hope management takes the time to refresh the restaurant and improve the overall cleanliness because it has always been one of my go-to spots, and I'd like to see it return to the quality it once had.
