I've been coming here since I moved in 2023. It all started with a fish taco. It was the best taco I ever had. I've been a regular ever since. I've never had an issue with quality and quantity of food until now. Up until today, I always felt the ingredient was fresh, but tonight it tasted a little different. I got the fish taco and asada taco. The asada meat was dry and cold. It also seemed old, not fresh. The fish was okay but the batter on the fish was a little inconsistent. Thickness is some places more than others, and some spots with no crust at all. Some of the onions tasted fine but some also tasted old. And the guy up front must be new because I miss the old guy there. He used to hook it up with the salsas. He must be a realist because the guy tonight only gave me 2 despite my order needing more than 2. When I asked for more, he only gave 1 set more. I'm grateful but surprised with how stingy he was. I don't know what happened between now and the last time I was there (3 months ago), but changes were made and I wasn't vibing with it. Not even sure how to rate this I'm really sad I came here right after work cause it's the one spot close to my place to get shrimp tacos and was told at 8pm they been closing for an hour that the MGR said if there slow just close up cause I'm not gonna pay you when no one is coming in. Mind you the hours of operation are until 9pm on a Saturday. This really is sad this was gonna be my first time trying this place and it just sucks. Not sure if they're capitalizing on it being the Lenten season, but all of their prices are blacked out, so I had to ask how much the fish tacos were and the guy at the front said all tacos are $4.99. The grilled mahi mahi fish tacos are excluded from the Wednesday special and sell for $3.49 each. Saw this place while picking up Domino's next door. So I decided to give it a try. It was really good. I rolled up, only a few people were inside, so I was a little skeptical. But I trusted the Google reviews. Wednesday is Fish Taco special day for $2.99 a piece. I got three and a small shrimp cocktail. Now I was definitely coming in thinking how can this be as good as Taco Nazo or Baja Cali, but let me tell you, it definitely is head-to-head with them. You can almost compare the three of them as apples to oranges to grapes because they all have their own flavor. The fish tacos were fantastic. Fish was just fried, so it was super hot, no fishy taste to it, the toppings were crisp and refreshing, and the tortilla nice and soft and I would say a little pillowy. Add lemon and salsa and wow. Some of the best fish tacos I've had. The shrimp cocktail was great. Freshly cut avocado. The shrimp meat was bouncy and plump, like they picked some healthy shrimp. And the cocktail had the perfect saltiness and tang to it. Would get that again. I wonder if everything was so freshly made and made to order piping hot because they are just that fresh or because I went at 3pm when restaurants are usually dead so they didnt have food already premade to sell and had to make me some hot on the spot. 4 years since my last review and the fish tacos are still the same! Everything tastes the same and was so good!! I ordered 4 fish tacos when I should have ordered 2. They were so filling and I made some left over. Unfortunately I missed out and didn't get the big yellow chilis. That was a bummer because that makes the meal. My sister said it's prob because we ordered 45 minutes before closing but idk. I understand it's the end of the night but I felt like the guy working the cash register looked annoyed or like he didn't want to be there. Again I get it's the end of the night. I just left like if they didn't want to take orders maybe tell someone. But I gave them 5 stars for the food. The inside of the restaurant was clean and there was tables and chairs to sit inside and eat. If you want some good fish tacos this is the spot to go to. read more

I guess we came in at the right time because thereafter it started to get crowded. We were a bit disappointed with our fish tacos. Something was missing, which we couldn't pinpoint at the time. You can differently pass this one by.. it's dark not well lighted area with a liquor store and pizza. I started coming here when I moved into Covina.. and supported them during the pandemic. But now they have raised their prices in the last month and took out their fish taco plate used to be 3 fish tacos not they took it away. I can't see paying $3.49 for a taco when they used to be $2.99 quality is still the same they are so good. They do have taco Tuesday but that does not include fish, Wednesday's is fish taco so I guess I will have to wait till Wednesday now to get a fish taco. read more

Shrimp burritos are pretty good. The spicy grilled shrimp burrito was not spicy at all, it had some type of chipotle Mayo sauce within it. I prefer their red sauce over their green.
