We needed a care home so badly within the next 3 days and she immediately got to work. She was also sensitive and understanding of us after we told her that my brother-in-law was only 48 with a wife who also had cancer and has been his caregiver for the last several months and that they also have an 11 year old daughter. The family had an immense weight on their shoulders. It was on a Thursday when I found Care Quest. Another family member was also calling other places. We literally scrambled when we were informed by the hospice nurse that my brother-in-law with prostate cancer may only have 2 more days to live. We found out so late that his wish was to pass away somewhere else which would be much better for his family. Within the hour of my call with Megan, she gave us 2 places to visit. What a blessing when my sister-in-law liked one that was only a mile away and so my brother-in-law was moved the next day to the care home. The next morning, he passed away with his wish granted. Eventually my mother's application was approved, but 4 months later we received a penalty notice which stopped the Medicaid payments for 6 1/2 months. When I first sent the notice to the worker she thought it was just a routine form letter until the nursing home confirmed that it was not. After paying all of the money to the company I no longer have confidence that they are Medicaid experts and have needed to spend more money to hire an Elder Care Certified Attorney to file the appeal. It seems that it would be much better to hire Certified Elder Care Law Firms in your state rather than a nationwide organization that has paraprofessionals handling such important matter.

It was a nice gathering of former students from Oakland Tech and Oakland High, friends and family of Marvelous Marva Nielsen aka Mrs. E. Although I did not take a tour of this gated community, and it is well-maintained, the area seems to be a peaceful one. Marva was the "longest serving golf marshall, serving about 14 years" in that capacity. She took care of the golfers and the golf courses. So they don't show up Tuesday at 9am I gotta fit them in Tuesday at 2pm! OK TRAFFIC AND WORK BUSY AT MINIMUM WAGE, I can't do it call them up cancel and they say be there tomorrow at agreed upon 9am! SO NOW TODAY, Wednesday 9am and nobody shows up on time and no call nothing( SO 9:10 knock at door Dante Gonzales shows up late ten minutes for work! Our chef now is terrific! He is always available to talk with you. He publishes suggestions and questions, and responses. Then all these are posted for all to read. If you don't like a something you can send it back. There are cards on every table for complaints and suggestions. We all love the food. Our grounds are lovely - there are multiple windows in every public room. There are many models to choose from - all well equipped, with a wide range of prices. We are part of the Rossmoor senior living community, so there are over 200 clubs, golf courses, movies, and top notch entertainment. Walnut Creek is one of the top shopping venues in the Bay Area, and known for culture and top restaurants!
