CareQuest is 2 for 2! Maegan was so helpful in placing my Mom into her 2nd home in the past ~5 years - and it's been a very promising start at her new place. Throughout the process, which can be very stressful, Maegan was patient, responsive, communicative, and caring - and, ultimately, she delivered. Thank you so much! read more

Anything I write here is inadequate to express the appreciation and gratitude we feel for Care Quest. Megan and Julianne told us we were eligible for help paying rent for our family member with Very Low Income in a beautiful luxury community that would have been out-of-reach. More than just sharing vital information that another senior referral service failed to do, Megan and Julianne gave essential practical and logistical support AND much needed emotional support . Compassion, generosity, and expertise from Care Quest truly saved us, because our loved one is happy and secure in his new home. Such a rare incredible organization! Tears come to my eyes writing this . read more

If 6 stars were an option, Megan and Care Quest would get it! This small company does big work in helping people find care homes for people that they love. I know that we all want to be the ones to care for our aging family members, but it is ok to reach out when you need help - that's what we did. With great compassion and understanding, Megan listened to our needs, helped us weigh out our options, and found a place for our loved one within 24 hrs - AMAZING! With Megan, we felt as though we were talking with a friend that cared, rather than a customer service clerk looking to fill a quota. This company cares and that's what sets Care Quest apart from the others. read more

We wonder how things could have been if we did not find Care Quest last April. We are truly very grateful and beyond amazed at how helpful and compassionate Megan Molo was to our dire situation. We needed a care home so badly within the next 3 days and she immediately got to work. She was also sensitive and understanding of us after we told her that my brother-in-law was only 48 with a wife who also had cancer and has been his caregiver for the last several months and that they also have an 11 year old daughter. The family had an immense weight on their shoulders. It was on a Thursday when I found Care Quest. Another family member was also calling other places. We literally scrambled when we were informed by the hospice nurse that my brother-in-law with prostate cancer may only have 2 more days to live. We found out so late that his wish was to pass away somewhere else which would be much better for his family. Within the hour of my call with Megan, she gave us 2 places to visit. What a blessing when my sister-in-law liked one that was only a mile away and so my brother-in-law was moved the next day to the care home. The next morning, he passed away with his wish granted. It felt so surreal. Care Quest made it possible for us and we will always be grateful. read more

I don't even remember who originally referred me to Care Quest - it was years ago right after my father was paralyzed from the chest down in a car accident (rear ended at a stop light), and our world had come crashing down on us. We were fortunate enough to not need to put him into a care facility immediately, but as my parents got older and my dad's care requirements increased, we always had Care Quest in our back pocket. When it came time to finally make the call that we couldn't handle things on our own anymore, we reached out to Care Quest, and Maegan immediately reached out to help understand what my dad's care needs were, what things were important to our family, and then quickly helped us understand what our options were. Through the course of taking tours of the facilities, making the decision where to go, and the final move in and transition period, the folks at Care Quest checked in to make sure we were well taken care of, and that we were happy with the options we were looking at. They were a tremendous help in navigating a very difficult and stressful period of transition, and we've been really happy with the place my dad is now. I'm deeply grateful to them for their work, for the care they took in understanding our needs (and wants!), and the speed, thoroughness, and gentleness of everyone involved. Recommended without hesitation. read more

Carequest was one of the placement agencies recommended to me as my 80+ year old friend D was approaching discharge from the hospital. I was very favorably impressed as Maegan spent almost one hour on the phone with me before even meeting D. She seemed genuinely interested in getting a comprehensive sense of the complex medical and psychological issues D was facing. Maegan communicated this warmth and compassion when she met D for the first time. Subsequently, she was indefatigable in helping with our search for a facility for D to move to. For example, every time she would email me some information she would follow up with a phone call. Once she even called on a Sunday morning! Given D's ongoing medical issues Maegan knew how to facilitate our finding an assisted living setting that could meet my friend's needs by coordinating with Hospice. Thanks to Maegan, D and I are optimistic that her new living situation will add a great deal to the quality of her life. If/when the time comes for me or a loved one to need such assistance in the future, I will call on Maegan because I know that we would be in very caring and competent hands. One cannot recommend a professional any higher than that! read more

I was referred to Care Quest when my father landed in the hospital and it was clear he needed additional support for his living needs. I felt confused and lost and Megan at Care Quest made me much more at ease. She let me know my options, did research on my behalf, and served as a wealth of knowledge for many questions that I had. With her guidance, I found an excellent senior community for my father. Megan even followed up weeks later to ensure that I was in good hands and didn't need any additional support. This is an excellent resource during challenging times. I'm so thankful for them. read more

Juliane was so amazing in helping me and my husband find a new home for his 100-year-old mother. I remember how wonderful Juliane was helping my family long ago with my parents. After receiving a long list of places to call from the skilled nursing facility and being overwhelmed and confused, I thought I'd reach out to see if Juliane was available. Right away, she gave us time, ideas, and coordinated options to visit three board and care homes close to his mother's house. Juliane understands the market, the quality of care needed, and which of the homes would be the best to support someone his mother's age. Juliane not only gives you the personal touch, but she also goes way out of her way to accommodate whatever needs you might have for your loved one. I highly recommend Care Quest and Juliane Bigelow if you are planning to move a loved one to a care facility. Barbara B. read more

Julianne is amazing and has helped so many seniors and their families over the years! She definitely has the personal touch unlike many online senior referral businesses that never even step foot inside a facility. Julianne and her team see them all - regularly!!! read more

I contacted Maegan and team knowing nothing about the placement process -- and I needed something fast! CareQuest sprang into action with a thoroughness and thoughtfulness that I deem nothing less than miraculous. They listened to our situation, presented us with a variety of well articulated options, and provided timely help. Within 48 hours my father was happily living in a beautiful respite facility. To say that they went above and beyond is no exaggeration. I cannot recommend them enough! read more

Juliane was incredible. Her knowledge of the local market and experience navigating the options was essential in our process of finding a new home for our parents. She was responsive, knowledgeable, and caring. She helped quickly narrow the options to those who could provide insulin management, an essential part of the care needed. She coordinated visits, gathered information, compared options. She gave a roadmap for the moves (out of the old place and into the new), options for service providers, the whole works. The assistance accelerated our process by several weeks, and gave us confidence that our parents were in the best place for them. I was very grateful to have contacted Care Quest! read more

I honestly don't know how I would have navigated all of this without the help of Care Quest. I needed to find a great place for my mom that offered assisted living and also memory care for later on. I had only found one really great place in concord, but it was outrageously expensive. And I thought that was my only option. A friend referred me to Care Quest and I am so thankful for that. Brianna spent over an hour on the phone with me, asking all kinds of questions about my mom, to really get to know her and to be able to compile a list of the best possible options for her. What I didn't realize is when you go to visit all of these places, they won't give you pricing upfront to even know if they were are out of your price range. You have to go and do the walk-through and listen to their pitch before you even know the prices which can take a lot of time. Not only did Brianna gather a list of amazing places that were a good fit for my mom, she did all the leg work as far as getting pricing and the amenities for me, so I knew which ones I wanted to set up meetings with. After visiting three on her list, all of which were awesome, I decided on one for my mom in Pleasant Hill. I worried that she would not acclimate easily or because of her early alzheimers she would not find any friends. She's now lived there almost 2 months and she has never been happier. It has been years since she has been this vibrant and active and full of life. Brianna totally nailed it on finding places that were just a great fit for my mom. I honestly don't know how I would have done this without them and I feel bad for people that have to figure this out on their own because it is a lot and so many unknowns. Thanks to Care Quest they did all the work for me. I can't thank them enough. They followed up with phone calls as well to make sure I didn't have any other questions or if there was anything else they could help me with. And they followed up after my mom moved in to make sure that she was enjoying her new home. Which she is. I couldn't have found a more perfect place for her. Thanks to everyone at Care Quest for your care concern and hard work. read more

We recently had to transition my father from a skilled nursing facility into an assisted living facility while dealing with my Mom who was terminally ill. Juliane & her team at Care Quest are amazing. When my Dad fell & ended up at John Muir Trauma ICU for the 2nd time in a month - I knew it was time to move him & my mom to assisted living. I was overwhelmed and felt lost when the hospital case manager handed me a list of places to call to help me with my search. For some reason, I chose Care Quest to call first and I truly believe it was meant to be. Juliane and Barbara gave me select places to interview & visit based on my parents' needs. They were careful to only recommend places that provide good care, were available for 2 residents to live together, & had memory care for my mom to eventually move into because of her worsening dementia. This was the most stressful period of my life and somehow Juliane was there to support me in any way possible. I even felt like she was there to just listen and help me find a way to move my parents into the best place possible. Juliane and Barbara truly are angels. There aren't enough words to say how much I appreciate everything they have done for me. read more

I worked with Juliane extensively for months. She is exceptional. Her qualities that were evident from the beginning were super high integrity, deep knowledge of nearby senior care options/the industry and a superior work ethic and attention to my parents and my family. My situation is probably not unique. My parents were reluctant and she worked with us to help them make good choices, including recommending a colleague who was critical for some key conversations. When we finally came down and were nearly ready to select one residence, I relied on her to help me think through how to do a background check on the parent companies' strategic intentions including interviewing the ED. Throughout the search, I was enormously empowered by Juliane. She is the real deal. There isn't a 6 star rating, but if there was, she'd get it from me and our family. read more

I can't image how our family could have navigated the healthcare system for both parents with very different needs during COVID-19 without Juliane! Juliane was there for me every step of the way through hospitalizations, nursing homes and now placement together in an excellent care home. The emotional support Juliane provides along with advice on the correct questions to ask, experts to talk to and coming up with creative solutions to seemingly insurmountable challenges is invaluable. After being separated for the first two months of their odyssey my parents have been reunited in a wonderful Board & Care Home since late June. They could not be in a safer environment or be receiving more respectful and medically appropriate care. Juliane continues to check in and has become a friend of the family. We are so grateful for her guidance through this difficult time. Janet T read more

It's difficult to put into words my appreciation for Julianne and her crew. At a time when caregiving for a loved one became more difficult, I knew a change was coming. I knew decisions had to be made - made quickly - and suddenly realized I hadn't a clue what to do or where to turn. Someone's life was going to drastically change very soon and this would not be a happy occasion. I was in this position twice as my Mom aged. Each time Julianne came to my rescue . . . and quickly. Facing an upcoming discharge from a skilled nursing facility, I called CareQuest on a Friday afternoon. I received a voicemail from a lovely woman, Jill, near 5:00p who said she was leaving the office but she'd be happy to come in on Saturday (office closed) to help me. Who does that? Early Monday, Julianne was on the phone with questions and quickly recommended four facilities to visit - then gave me two more. I felt she was by my side every minute. My Mom is now in the most wonderful Board and Care I could have imagined. I simply don't know how or where I would even have begun to search without Julianne's professionalism and guidance. You have my thanks and gratitude forever, and I will continue to sing your praises. read more

My ninety year old mother recently spent two weeks in a skilled nursing facility. She was to be discharged on a Saturday. It was only three days before that she decided she could not go back to living alone. I contacted Juliane at Care Quest, with what I thought would be an impossible task, to find my mother a wonderful place to live in three days. Juliane interviewed my mother that evening and set up appointments for me to visit three assisted living facilities the next day. She recommended one that she thought would be most suitable for my mom. I agreed with that choice and on Saturday we were able to move my mom to a wonderful new home. This was about five weeks ago and I think that without Juliane's guidance, I would still be looking. My mom has settled into her new place and it really does feel like she's home. Care Quest provides a truly invaluable service. Gloria F. read more

Juliane at Care Quest gave me the support and personal attention that I didn't know I needed. I had never heard of terms such as "placement agency" "board and care" "care manager" "residential care" "living assistance" when my family member's health began to decline. As I stumbled through trying to assist him long distance, I was referred to Care Quest. Juliane not only listened but anticipated our needs and went out of her way to make this work. I found myself treating her like a member of my own family; I depended on her and she was there for me. After a while, my family member passed away, and I find that losing this connection with Juliane is just as difficult. Juliane will be there for you too - you can count on it. read more

Juliane was amazing. I was referred to her by Cat Schenone at John Muir Concord after my elderly mother fell and broke her arm. She was placed into a skilled nursing facility and our family decided assisted living was the best option upon discharge. I contacted Juliane and within a few hours she provided me with 4 facilities in our area along with HONEST feedback about each one. We were able to get my mom placed before she was discharged from skilled nursing. Without Juliane and Care Quest, I do not think we would have been able to get this done. I have been working with Juliane well over 12 years and she is my expert when it comes to placement of seniors in board and care homes or assisted living communities. She was a physical therapist for John Muir Hospital in her first career and was the very first individual in Contra Costa County to provide placement services so her experience, knowledge and expertise is unmatched. She has helped hundreds of clients over the years and I trust her judgement implicitly. I highly recommend working with CareQuest. read more

When you find yourself needing assistance in moving a loved one to a care facility, from board and care to full-service memory care, CareQuest is your best friend. Three years ago, I made the decision to move my partner Maureen into a memory care facility because I was no longer able to keep her safe and well. At that time, she was exhibiting severe behavior problems. Helen Lindberg met with me, showed me several options, and guided me to the one memory care facility in the East Bay that could deal with those issues, as well as keep her from wandering off. Recently, as my partner is now unable to do anything for herself, including walk or talk, I again turned to Helen to help me find a board and care home where Maureen is able to have more engagement in a smaller and equally caring environment. Because Helen had taken the time to get to know me and Maureen, and stayed in touch with me, we were able to find the perfect place for my partner in one day. She even got me in touch with a great transportation small business to move Maureen in her geri chair from Oakland to Walnut Creek. CareQuest isn't a behemoth company looking to lock you in, hound you, or generally make you miserable. Helen and Juliane know the area, have relationships with many facilities and care providers, and will help you through one of the most difficult decisions you'll ever have to make. read more

Julianne and Brenda and team were so completely supportive and amazing during a very stressful time. My Dad had a fall in February due to a disease that would prevent him from going straight home from skilled nursing. In March, While his condition continued to decline, the care Quest team worked tirelessly to try and find us the right place, follow up on our needs and even after placement called to make sure it was the right fit. We really appreciated their genuine care and efforts to ensure ours and dads comfort. Even when it wasn't the right fit, they were open to our feedback and real about expectations. Wow what a daunting task it is to place a family member into a care facility. After receiving little guidance from the hospital they handed me a sheet of paper with several care coordinating agencies. I had no idea what to expect. I called the first and was less than pleased with my first experience. It actually added to my stress. I decided to call care quest just to see if this was the industry or if there was something better out there. So glad I did! From the first call to the placement our needs were met. I was always met with a kind and compassionate ear at the agency. Julianne is thorough and takes the time to assess the patient and listen to the family's needs. She worked behind the scenes trouble shooting issues we didn't even know we're in place! Very grateful I trusted my gut to make a second call! I contacted Kathy Friend at Caring Hands and she immediately advised to call Care Quest. Care Quest assists families' in finding suitable assisting living facilities which may match to the persons likes and needs. I spoke to Brenda and then Julianne regarding my Mother's profile.
