If 6 stars were an option, Megan and Care Quest would get it!…read moreThis small company does big work in helping people find care homes for people that they love. I know that we all want to be the ones to care for our aging family members, but it is ok to reach out when you need help - that's what we did. With great compassion and understanding, Megan listened to our needs, helped us weigh out our options, and found a place for our loved one within 24 hrs - AMAZING! With Megan, we felt as though we were talking with a friend that cared, rather than a customer service clerk looking to fill a quota. This company cares and that's what sets Care Quest apart from the others.

I don't even remember who originally referred me to Care Quest - it was years ago right after my…read morefather was paralyzed from the chest down in a car accident (rear ended at a stop light), and our world had come crashing down on us. We were fortunate enough to not need to put him into a care facility immediately, but as my parents got older and my dad's care requirements increased, we always had Care Quest in our back pocket. When it came time to finally make the call that we couldn't handle things on our own anymore, we reached out to Care Quest, and Maegan immediately reached out to help understand what my dad's care needs were, what things were important to our family, and then quickly helped us understand what our options were. Through the course of taking tours of the facilities, making the decision where to go, and the final move in and transition period, the folks at Care Quest checked in to make sure we were well taken care of, and that we were happy with the options we were looking at. They were a tremendous help in navigating a very difficult and stressful period of transition, and we've been really happy with the place my dad is now. I'm deeply grateful to them for their work, for the care they took in understanding our needs (and wants!), and the speed, thoroughness, and gentleness of everyone involved. Recommended without hesitation.

We had tried to convince my very independent 90 year old mother to…read moremove closer to us from Florida as she was aging. It took a broken hip and multiple other medical issues for her to finally give in . . She lived with us for a few months while recuperating before we all decided that she needed her independence back. Mona was very helpful in narrowing down assisted living choices that met her needs. The number of possibilities were overwhelming.Location, climate ,food quality and affordability were very important to my mom. I waited 6 months before submitting this review to see how the fit actually was. After a short adjustment period , my mother is currently thriving at Atria in Walnut Creek and has made some wonderful friends. Thank you Mona for listening to our needs and finding the perfect match.

Our timeline was incredibly short (~2 weeks), but Mona reassured us that it was possible and to leave the hard work with her. During our intake call, Mona took the time to really learn about my mom and her needs in order to find a long lasting fit. Within a week she had narrowed locations options for us and we were able to tour both locations the same day, which was massively helpful given busy work schedules. Mona also pre negotiated with the community managers before we even toured the communities, so when we decided to move forward with one, we already had a good idea of cost which was one of our main concerns with this type of move. My mom is very happy with her new home. We have Mona to thank for that!

The firm's office was easy to deal with and responded quickly to my needs. The aides they sent were attentive and capable. I want to note two Eldercare employees who provided the bulk of my support: Blaise Yves and Shakeera Duncan. They were excellent. Eventually my mother's application was approved, but 4 months later we received a penalty notice which stopped the Medicaid payments for 6 1/2 months. When I first sent the notice to the worker she thought it was just a routine form letter until the nursing home confirmed that it was not. After paying all of the money to the company I no longer have confidence that they are Medicaid experts and have needed to spend more money to hire an Elder Care Certified Attorney to file the appeal. It seems that it would be much better to hire Certified Elder Care Law Firms in your state rather than a nationwide organization that has paraprofessionals handling such important matter.
