Ambiance in the restaurant is pretty good, but that's about all that was good. The servers kept bumping into each other spilling food and drinks. They would come to the table and climb over you to try and grab a straw wrapper. The food was less than mediocre at best. Dragon roll had no flavor. It was pretty much just rice. The double pork ramen was saltier than I am writing this review. Not worth going to at all. read more

Yummy sushi ! One of the best in the area. Hate they don't take reservations and the wait can be long but the food ALWAYS hits the spot!

Place was dirty Floors nasty Tables gross I sat inside and felt like they forgot about me Long wait Spent 75$ on barley any food read more

some of the best sushi in the hamptons! love the crispy rice from here. Takeout and dining in are both fantastic.

UGH I want this place to be good so bad. Every opportunity I give it, the worse it is. -I wish they'd give accurate wait times because whether it was take out or dine in, I was waiting so long for a drink and food. Most recently, they told me 45 min over the phone and then I waited 45 minutes after I checked in at the restaurant, waiting a total of 1.5 hours. -The ramen had a little too much sesame oil in it but was ok! However, pork belly and pork loin are not the same thing and it's not right to get a girl excited for pork belly to give a couple slices of pork loin. -I also understand that they can upcharge for sushi because we're out East and the Japanese options are more limited, however at least make the quality a little better. read more

Sushi is alright. Definitely overpriced. Not sure if we'll come back. Their staff was great though.

Relative to East Hampton, this place is a gem. There is a severe lack of Japanese cuisine out East. It's not that I think there needs to be more cuisine options considering you sort of expect to eat overpriced seafood in this setting. Anyways, Sushi Sen has a very solid menu with solid special rolls at outlandish prices - but that's the Hamptons for you. Their spicy tuna is quite good and my girlfriend and I were ecstatic to have this place as an option during our little quarantine vacation. With the only other sushi options being Suki Zuki, Zokkon, and Yama-Q, this place easily takes the cake. read more

Today my husband and I decided to give this place a try. The place looks nice - the END. My first clue to run should have been the service & how long it took to get our food. Finally it came -COLD, no taste and we just could not get thru the meal before I declared that I am DONE!! A man walked over to us and asked " is there anything he could do!" He didn't identify himself & we looked at one another & just said NO WE're Done! Long story short, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR $$$ on this place. Huge DISSAPOINTMENT& nasty belly ache RUNAngus Teriyaki read more

I was hesitant to try this place due to some of the reviews, but I'm so glad I took a chance on Sen. We arrived at around 7pm and were able to be seated right away for a table for two. Shortly afterwards, the place got real busy, so come before 7pm, since they don't take reservations. Our waitress, Tracy, couldn't have been more gracious and pleasant. We loved everything we ordered, from the Sake, to the Crunchy Rice Tuna, to the amazing Chili Chicken Ramen. Oh my, you should try the chili chicken ramen. The sesame seeds in the broth gave it a very unique flavor. The tuna crunch was on fried rice cake topped with jalapeño. Their Chicken Lemongrass Dumplings were also well done. I posted photos. Compliments to the chef. read more

Amazing service and excellent food. We really enjoyed the sushi and dumplings. We had the yellowtail sashimi and sushi, they were both great. Very fresh and great taste. The servers were very attentive and nice, they made sure we had everything we needed. read more

Was really looking forward to trying Sen after hearing so much about it but it was very average. Went with my boyfriend at 6pm on a Sunday and by 6:15pm it was packed -- with a huge line of people waiting for a table and retrieving their takeout orders. We were able to get a table outside in front which was nice but we were right on top of the hostess stand, which made for a very distracting dinner as we were in the middle of the chaos resulting from such a large amount of people waiting. Food was average and it took a little while to get it (with 5 minutes between my boyfriend getting his food and me getting mine). read more

Pretty much terrible in every way. The food was either average or bad. The broccoli tempura was ok. Not sure who's idea was to add chicken mush to the chili chicken ramen and the chicken fried rice. Was really distasteful, awful texture. The rice was mushy too. Kinda pathetic. The sushi. Ohhh the sushi. You know you're in for a rough time when the smell of the tuna sushi hits you when it gets to within a foot of your face. I'd say the food was a 1/10. The service was a 3/10 - think Asian fusion catering hall. The ambience. Nope. The place is dirty. Worn out. Having a restaurant in the Hamptons appears to be a license to steal because there's no heart, no soul, and no decent chef anywhere to be found. We were surprised when we walked right in at 7pm on a Friday. Now we know. Make something at home. read more

I don't go often, only when I want to treat me and my girl. Yes, it is expensive but if that's your measuring stick, don't go. If on the other hand you want delicious sushi, fine atmosphere and good service, give yourself a treat and remember, good food isn't cheap. Just sit inside away from the crowded line in the front. read more

Food is good, however not sure if the price equates to it. The service feels personable and friendly, although definitely rushed. They certainly like to flip the tables - it's a hotspot in Sag Harbor. No reservation system walk-in only. Indoor aesthetic is great, tables outside feel a little too tight, but all in all would definitely recommend to others. read more

When we first came here, we saw it was very packed, which we thought was a good sign, so we decided to try to get a table. We had to put our name in and wait 20 minutes for a table. Once we got inside, it was very loud, but there was nice decoration/atmosphere inside. We were seated right next to the kitchen. We ordered some rolls to share at the table as the main course, but started off with the chicken dumplings as an appetizer. The dumplings were a great choice - they had a delicious sauce and were very flavorful. We also shared an order of edamame, which were fine. Miso soup had a little bit of a different flavor, but was still good. Overall the appetizers were decent. The sushi was ok. Not great. Just mediocre, and a little on the mushy side, especially the 'Exotic Rolls.' A lot of hype for a pile of mush with some sauces. A little disappointing considering the price. Overall, the food was nothing memorable. It wouldn't be one of my best recommendations for restaurants in Sag Harbor. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by Sen for dinner and I was really surprised that there were so many sushi options on the menu! We ordered 3 rolls and a few appetizers and definitely left feeling full. We went later in the night (9:30) and they were still fairly packed so the food took awhile, but regardless everything was really tasty and the staff was kind. read more

Great restaurant! They have incredible service. Food was phenomenal. Definitely one of my go to spots to eat in this area! Atmosphere was nice, calm, and relaxed. Exactly what you need with a perfect meal. Will and for sure will be coming back. read more

Listen, I don't know whats up with all of the low reviews on this place. Is it overpriced? Yes. Is the staff rude? Occasionally. But how else will you maintain high end classy customers? If it was $10 sushi your Uncle Jack would be able to eat here. If it was $6 appetizers Katie and Liz would be able to eat here. Do we want to be sitting next to a bunch of Katie's and Liz's? If we wanted that then we would go to Buffalo Wild Wings or PF Changs. Are either of those sushi places? No but that's because I can't think of any chain sushi places. Could there be chain sushi places? Possibly?.. Am i going to google it before or after I write the review? Obviously after. Anyway, you get my point. Basically what I'm saying is that it is "overpriced" to weed out the low individuals that may dent the image of both the restaurant and customer. Everything on the menu actually tastes good. Which you just cannot say for most restaurants. I've ate here numerous times and every single time I get something different because the menu is so large and it has always been a delicious time. I want you all to seriously reconsider your reviews for this place as it deserves nothing but the best. My name is David and David love you. (I want to also add that the restaurant did not pay me to write this review!!) read more

I keep hoping this will be better, but it never is and consistently disappoints. Very high prices for below average food. Places just want to overcharge because it's the hamptons, but you need to back it up with decent food. The dumplings remind me of the frozen ones we get at the grocery store. The tempura is always limp limp and soggy. The hamachi crudo, a common dish at Japanese restaurants, is very boring here. And the table are always sticky, what's that about?! Wash em better. They charge as if it's Zuma, but it's not at all close. The quality is just not there. Id suggest lowering your prices and being a more mid level restaurant. The food needs to match the pricing; otherwise your customers are always disappointed. read more

I never thought I would say this but...I LOVE SUSHI! The fish here? Fresh. The ambiance? Immaculate. The drinks? Keep 'em comin' LOL! Husband took me here for our weekend get away to the Hamptons. At first, I was a little iffy on trying a place like this because I'm not one for trying new foods...but I was surprised by their amazing staff and accommodating services, I had no choice but to step out of my comfort zone! I got the Orchid roll (it sounded so pretty) with the white fish on top and it was de-lish!!! I had to order another roll and that's exactly what I did! To keep it short and not ramble on, I 100% recommend dining here if you ever take a trip out to Sag Harbor. Good eats! read more

Sen. I ordered take out for two. My home garbage can was BRIMMING full of plastic.Beyond disappointing. They need to address this yesterday. Food. Mediocre at best. They deliver ALL the time in quality, presentation, love. Rock on.. read more

We were really looking forward to trying out this place. The vibe is welcoming and friendly as he was, our server was a bit distracted and thus quite inattentive. Sushi was nothing to write home about, which is a huge disappointment considering the price. Sen - Sushi delicious!!! - Sushi Bars Near Me - Sag Harbor, New York

I've been coming to Sen since the pandemic and they are the best Sushi spot in the Hamptons. I come with my family pretty much every week during the summer to eat their delicious food. One of the servers Kevin is amazing. Every-time I come in he goes above and beyond to create a great experience for me and my fam. Looking forward to my next meal at Sen. read more

So good! We had lunch here and service was excellent and food so yummy. Such a great place to sit and eat and watch people go by!

Deeply disappointed in the food served in this restaurant. Meat in two different dishes was old and dried out. High priced sake came in an 8 ounce glass that was filled 1/4 of the way. Overpriced and not worth the time spent traveling to this restaurant. read more

Fantastic food and service. Would definitely go again. Service was good without feeling rushed.

I'm reluctant to rate places poorly, but Sen sushi did unfortunately disappoint. It's hard to find decent sushi in the Hamptons! My own portion of sushi (7 piece chef's choice) was small and not so fresh. My girlfriend had the vegetarian ramen (admittedly a questionable choice), which was quite terrible. The noodles seemed as if from a package, while the broth tasted stale. Overall a disappointment for the price, would not recommend or go back. read more

If you can't shake the urge to dine with chop sticks out East, Sen kind of has the upper hand. With limited options for tasty Asian in the Hamptons Sen has mastered the notion of supply and demand. Place is clean, staff is friendly, location is great, menu respectable, prices are outrageous (for what you're eating). How did a California roll become a $13 item, $19 for a bowl of Ramen? There is nothing wrong with the food, it's good, and just as important, consistent! Oshinko portions could be less stingy (more carrots in particular please) - it's really well done here and they should throw it around more... Assortment of rolls and pieces are always fresh and tasty, but nothing that makes your eyes roll back in your head. Sen dominates the Sushi competition out East and they know it. That said, they could stand to push the envelope a bit, with perhaps some more progressive items maybe an Omakase menu? My guess is they stand to gain business considering the summer crowds. read more

Before ordering, I told my waiter that I had a severe allergy to nuts and sesame seeds. He ensured me that this wouldn't be a problem. A few minutes after digging in to our appetizers, he came over and said, "By the way, the sauce has sesame seeds in it" after I had already eaten much of it. He did not understand the gravity of my allergy and showed no guilt or apologetic feelings after the fact. Do not go here if you have any food allergies! They say on the menu that they take them seriously but this is a major lie. read more

If you don't have groceries and want to spend your entire paycheck on a tiny, tiny (did I mention how tiny it was) piece of chicken with spritz of teriyaki sauce, go right ahead. Another way to also spend your entire paycheck on chicken with a spritz of teriyaki sauce would be to do this: - Go to the grocery store - Buy chicken breast and teriyaki sauce - Pay less than $110 - Go home and marinante chicken breast in teriyaki sauce and then grill - Enjoy your meal and the fact that you fed your family of four for less than $110 - Take the amount you spent on groceries and subtract from $110. Take difference and burn it on the grill as a tribute to how overpriced this restaurant is, how small the portions are, and how they don't even serve a side of rice with their $28 chicken teriyaki dinner! read more

Great for sushi but that's it. The saltiest miso soup, bland teriyaki chicken, pork buns were very disappointing the last 2 visits. Literally 1 small slice of meat inside, all fatty. if it wasn't takeout I would have complained. Big 20-something crowd read more

HORRIBLE FOOD POISONING, UNACCOUNTABLE MANAGEMENT I don't know if management has changed over the years, but this place has gone down hill. I placed an order, was uphold the Japanese Uni (they also had California Uni), and had severe food poisoning for 12 hours. The very next morning, my husband called the restaurant, wrote to them, and not a single word back. We didn't want this to happen to someone else. I love sushi, I used to love SEN, will NEVER go there again after being a fan for 10 years++. read more

Lovely small outdoor dining. However, one of our party had a shellfish allergy, told the waitress and then ordered two (2) rolls with no shellfish. For the next hour, they kept coming by to apologize for delay but wanted to make sure there was no cross contamination. 75 minutes later, the two rolls arrive with several pieces of shrimp on the rolls. Sent it back, paid the outrageously expensive check and left. The prices are astronomically high given what you are given. I would think twice about venturing here. read more
