Cool River Coffeehouse in Breckenridge was my next stop, and when I heard their seasonal cold foam was pumpkin spice, I had to give it a try. I asked the guy behind the counter if it was good, and he confidently assured me it was. I told him, "I trust you!" And let me tell you... he did not disappoint! The cold foam was everything I look for: creamy, light, fluffy, with just the right amount of sweetness and a delicious hint of pumpkin spice. Not overpowering, not overly sweet, just perfectly balanced. Exactly how seasonal cold foam should be! THE FOOD: They also offer a food menu, and while I didn't order anything this time, I was definitely eyeing the dishes coming out to other tables. I've been coming here since 2009, and although I'm not in town very often anymore, this has always been my go-to spot whenever I visit. It's a place where my children and I enjoy getting coffee, cinnamon rolls, or lunch, sitting down to relax, and simply spending time together. Over the years, it has become a familiar and welcoming place that feels a little like home. Unfortunately, today was the first time in all these years that I genuinely felt unwelcome. During my visit, an employee made the comment, "Boy, we just can't get rid of you, can we?" Although it was delivered in what seemed to be a joking, sarcastic manner, I found the remark inappropriate and uncomfortable. I have never had an employee here speak to me that way before. Shortly afterward, I overheard what sounded like the same employee speaking with other staff members and making a comment along the lines of, "Who is this guy?" I certainly understand that employees joke around, and I'm willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt. However, there is a difference between friendly humor and making a longtime customer feel as though their presence is an inconvenience. As a paying customer who has supported this business for more than 17 years, I would hope that I am just as welcome to come in, enjoy a coffee, sit down, and relax as anyone else. I regularly see customers spending hours here working on their laptops, socializing, or simply enjoying the atmosphere. I've always understood that to be part of what makes a coffee shop such an inviting place. I'm not asking for special treatment, nor do I expect anyone to recognize me or know how long I've been coming here. I simply expect the same courtesy, professionalism, and respect that every customer deserves. I'm leaving my five-star rating because one disappointing interaction should not erase 17 years of positive experiences. However, I sincerely hope management takes this feedback constructively. A place that has felt like a home away from home for so many years should never leave a loyal customer questioning whether they are welcome.

The burritos were good, but we asked for Garlic Aioli on the side and that elevated the burritos quite a bit. Service was fast, lots of seating, but it does get busy quick. Little pricey but that's expected for Breckenridge downtown. Overall great vibes with an authentic mountain feel. Would recommend!

A very cozy atmosphere with couches and tables (which respectfully ask you to limit table time). Like much of the Breck staff, they were very friendly and prompt with the coffee order. I'm not sure how they do it with the tourism rush! On the note of coffee, I'm not the biggest fan of iced drinks in paper cups. That seems to be a common practice in town. It doesn't work well with iced drinks, but I'm probably an insane tourist that always orders iced drinks in the Winter. Check it out though, even just if it's just for the food.

We were in a bit of a rush during our visit, so unfortunately, I didn't get pictures, but please work with me. :) The bakery itself is on the smaller side and very busy and quick paced, but does have seating available, and the staff was incredibly friendly. It feels like stepping into a bakery in a small town. I ordered the Spinach Goat Cheese Feuilleté and a Fruit Tart. Spinach Goat Cheese Feuilleté (8/10) - This was buttery, flaky, and delicious. The pastry practically melted in my mouth, and I really enjoyed the overall flavor. My only wish was that the goat cheese had been a bit more prominent, as I love the flavor it brings to a dish. Fruit Tart (10/10) - Delicious! The fruit was incredibly fresh, and the tart carried such a wonderful balance of flavors. Every bite was a treat. Overall, I really enjoyed our stop here. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I can certainly see us returning the next time we're in Breckenridge!

The staff is helpful and the service is quick. There aren't a lot of indoor places to sit but it's so worth it. Ambiance in the newish dinner section looks cute. We will be stopping back by soon.
