For me, Corby's will always be my go-to collision shop. Being the daughter of a mechanic who owned a shop next to a collision shop in Buffalo, I know what good service is. I always relied on my father's expertise and connections and never worried about being taken advantage of. Since his passing, it's been a challenge finding service locally that I truly trust. When my parked van was hit a couple years ago, I took it to Corby's for the first time. I was impressed with how I was treated and the expert repair work performed. It was done in a reasonable amount of time and they communicated clearly and often. I walked away very satisfied. Fast forward to this year when my son's vehicle collided with a deer. We knew the vehicle had the possibility of being totaled, but hoped that would not be the case. The folks at Corby's kept us up-to-date daily with the status of the parts and repair costs. They worked really hard to work with us to save the vehicle. We couldn't have been more satisfied with the outcome. The BEST customer service!

So today I called Vogels around 10:26 to get an estimate done for insurance on my 2010 Chevy…read moreImpala. I was instantly turned down and said "no we can't do that". I was surprised because I have brought them previously a car and sent them a lot of work over the years. So let me tell you about the LONG HAUL on your vehicle if you bring it here to Vogels. I would know about long term on a vehicle from them because they did a Job for me in 2015 on my 97 Camaro. This place is decent place to bring your vehicle if you need something fix short term but long term not worth it to ME. To others they are worth it but they don't restore cars really just fix them. I brought these guys my 97 Camaro back in 2015. Let me tell you what it WASN'T worth the price they charged me 6500-7k and or it felt like I was getting harassed by the owner about paying them. Normally you pay for a job when it's finished but he was eager to collect some before starting it and during before he finished the Camaro. I had to pay before they finished which felt like I was being scammed but I was in a tight pinch and had to get it done. After finally paying them in full they finished it up and said we will detail it up nice for you but the rushed they detail guy and I had wax all over the Camaro. Even the detail guy complained about being rushed. I even mentioned the green paint I could still see but they didn't fix it or nothing. I was super bummed about this but I was still happy to get my 97 Camaro back on the road and drive it. Mind you this 97 Camaro sat after it got "restored"from Vogels. Nothing wrong with it but all the imperfections they left, all the chipped and cracked paint I found and the green paint from the donor parts they used to fix it that you could still see in areas. The Camaro wasn't very professional done at all and the service I got from them especially from the owner himself was good and all till the demanded payment. Then it felt like a scam and it felt like I was being harassed. Now 10 years later I have to repay someone to fix all those paint chips, all the cracked panels and a lot more. So in my opinion it's not worth it because 10 years later and 6500 bucks wasted to repay another person. About the same or more to make it look brand new even better then show room quality they said just like Vogel's promised me but Vogels couldn't handle it. Edit : So after I posted this because I got a phone call at 11:17 from there Shop manager or whatever he is there. His name was Eric. He called me asked me why I would leave a negative review because they refused to take a quote from me earlier today? Then proceeded to say I called them because I had an insurance quote done and I wanted them to add more on? WTF? How is that possible when my accident just happen at 9:33 am. So how did I have time to get a quote and call you to ask you to change that quote? So now I'm more annoyed because they tried to call me out on something I didn't even say. All I said was "can I get an estimate done today for an insurance quote". He then proceeded to tell me IDK why you're posting your Camaro now. It's been 10 years and we didn't harass you. He said "we have to get some up front or all especially when it's not an insurance quote because we gotta pay outta packet for materials"? Really? You have to pay for materials? Wow that's crazy. What about regular mechanics or other shops? They don't ask up front for any money. However I was fine putting a down payment down back then. It was the owner calling me demanding money from me time and time again multiple times and said he couldn't fix it till I did. That sounds like harassment to me. Their excuse was "well sometimes people have us fix it but then not come back at all after we finish". I said "not my fault don't judge a book by its cover. You guys are judging people and will only work on cars with insurance claims unless they are GUARANTEED the money before they finish the vehicle". 1

They refused to refund after I showed them how loose the posts were. What repair shop would make a rookie mistake by not checking that the posts were tight. They sure had no charge using a diagnostic device to replace a obvious, first place to look (battery post) . So if you want to pay $200.00 for a battery post this your go to garage, not mine The managers aid if I wanted my money back he would take the post they put on off. Cheap shot

I would avoid this shop at all costs. A full description of all issues is beyond reasonable length…read morefor a review, overall I found this shop and ownership to be untrustworthy, unknowledgeable, and incredibly dishonest on more than one occasion. got a $900 quote for a driveshaft replacement that turned into a $1400 job after several days of delay and no updates. the job only needing less than a handful of hours was originally estimated to be completed same day, and while delays can happen not only was I not updated of any delay, every time I called for updates after their time estimates had passed I was told the vehicle was actively being worked on which I now find likely to be untrue. within days/weeks of having the repair made my vehicle went to a mechanic for an unrelated issue and was determined immediately with a visual inspection my vehicle needed extensive frame repair. The repairs were so dire the vehicle was immediately deemed unsafe and this second mechanic refused to even examine the vehicle further stating it was beyond atleast reasonable repair. These damages were not only never mentioned to me by pats auto prior to service but i received and entire stack of paperwork outlining damages, repairs and other suggested maintenance work that should be done on my vehicle, including rust protection to the frame!! When confronted with this issue the owner informed me they do frame repairs in house and before issuing my requested refund wanted to take a look at the vehicle in attempt to make said repairs to get the vehicle back on the road for atleast a somewhat reasonable amount of time. After hearing the owners plans and estimated longevity for the frame repairs I consented provided they would be suitable to pass a nys inspection and at this point the owner declined to do any work stating the vehicle was beyond reasonable repair. It's worth mentioning this vehicle was most certainly in very poor condition atleast cosmetically going into the shop, regardless it falls under good faith at the very least to inform a customer of such severe damage it is a major safety concern. Not only was i not informed of these major issues but the initial vehicle inspection report has been altered sometime between my vehicle leaving their shop after refusing to do the work they offered and the writing of this review and photos will be attached. Additionally a refund was offered in exchange for the newly installed part however there was never any discussion or even any indication that in doing so my vehicle would be returned back to its running/driving yet damaged condition it was delivered in and that parts would simply be removed.
