Awful, awful experiences here over the years. The staff themselves have always been beyond kind, but every manager (and there's been like 3-4 in the last 4 years due to how Semper treats employees). I imagine most chain laser places are as bad, but avoid. The Evanston location closed and this location inherited their clients - booking and availability was already tough. Again. I've had MULTIPLE, AMAZING and kind technicians leave due to mistreatment although I will also say due to wrong settings my treatment has gone years beyond what it should and I had to fight for them to rectify the situation (as others have noted). Every single manager here has treated me unkindly. I blame management for not adequately training their employees. I know for a fact they had trained one of the front desk girls on laser but were not paying her the technician rate (at least initially). That should tell you everything you need to know. They've had a "now hiring" sign on their window for *years* and ample space they don't use to try and save money. The current manager doesn't handle customer service issues in a kind or pleasant manner. The one thing I will give Semper is, even if I had to fight for them to honor what they had verbally told me (via corporate), they did honor what they had verbally told me in the end. read more

The laser itself feels like a stinging/burning/pinching sensation. The lovely ladies who have serviced me so far have been so nice and have made me feel comfortable. I got complimentary sessions here from a friend. I ended up committing to a package deal for two different body areas. The managers and laser techs are very knowledgeable and explained the process very well. They make you feel comfortable and ensure you know what you're getting into. Underarms are pretty painless, bikini area hurt a little more, but nothing unbearable. The experience is different for everyone, but I can't wait to continue to see great results. read more

Employees are rude and don't take the time out to analyze you and do the correct settings. They just rush through and hurt you . I do not recommend getting a laser treatment with Elizabeth. Super stick up, rude, and you can tell she doesn't want to be there. At least the front desk employees are nice. read more

Semper is the best. I am 14 and wanted to remove my upper lip hair which was very hard and pronounced. With my doctors approval we thought this would be the best route. I would not advise going here! The staff is very unprofessional and inattentive. I was gifted with 8 complimentary sessions and went in for a consultation. I wanted to add to the service and paid the remaining amount. A couple minutes later I decided against it and asked for a refund. That was 3 weeks ago when the manager said it would take 7-10 days.
