I called during open hours just before closing three days before the appointment and left a voice message because the prompt said the office was closed. I called again around 12p two days before the appointment and got the same prompt. Google and Yelp list the hours of operation are 9a-4p on Saturdays. First, their social media and telephone prompt urge people to go to the website to book. However, I did do that to schedule my appointment for Jan 19 and then was called to say that it was already blocked by someone else and that the regular practice is the website double books. When I asked the woman then how do I guarantee my appointment she said always call to book. Given that I have been calling to try to cancel and no one answers, I can only imagine calling to book would be just as frustrating. I have called the 701-219-7933 number that goes straight to voicemail. I have called the 312-257-3049 number almost half a dozen times and it goes to voicemail saying it's closed when the call is during the hours of operation. Maybe they cancelled my appointment based on my voicemail but I definitely never received a confirmation of cancellation. I have to say this is my first experience with Chapter Aesthetic and it has proven to be one that will deter me from rescheduling. I have used Face Foundrie and will continue going there due to ease of booking, cancelling, and overall service.

Then why sell the 4-session deal?? The girl told me it wasn't the company's fault, it was Groupon's! Why would they offer it through Groupon or other in the first place? It was a blatant attempt to upsell me...while I was lying on the bed getting my first treatment, she was reading me packages and prices! Trying to convince me to spend an additional $1,000 or more while offering "a discount but only TODAY" was quite the racket and turned me all the way off. I do not recommend them at all.

We made this second appointment which is on 8/26 at 11 am a MONTH ago. When I arrived right on time this morning, I saw another customer was arriving and she told me her appointment was supposed to be at 10:15, but Lora told her to come back at 11:00. So we went in and Lora was very calm and expected to see both us. She looked at me and start to ask me, "Can't you wait? Or come back at a later time". I simply could not because I had all the other stuff planned today and I do not think this is an acceptable response to push back my appointment because she messed up the schedule. Also, if she already knew that at 10:15 am she needed to push back another client's appointment, she could have called me at that time and ask me to come back at another time. At least that way, I don't need to waste time and effort to come right on time - But she did not. I was very frustrated so she started to ask me what she can do to help me feel better - I thought oh that's a very nice gesture, at least now you care about your customers. So I thought about it and asked her to give me a discount. Guess what she said back to me? She goes " OH LADY, DON'T PUSH ME TOO HARD" Me:"....." - Isn't giving a discount the most common way of making up the mistake you made??? So I told her I am not going to have the spa anymore, you are a ridiculous person and she was like "DO YOU GET ANY OTHER OPTIONS?" OMG can you feel her arrogance now? Besides the fact that she is very rude (to me at least) and she doesn't respect her client's time, the spa environment sucks. She has a price of doing one facial of $300 marked on Groupon, but then through the deal it's lowered to around $100-$120. Though Groupon's deal price can be misleading, you would expect this place to be a decent spa place with all the good reviews on Yelp and Groupon. Nope - this spa is in a tiny room at the back of some sort of wellness recovery gym, which seemed very sketchy to me. I also don't think the door can be locked. I will say Lora gave me a decent first time spa and that's why I decided to go back (also because I have not been to many spa places in Chicago yet); however, I do not think it's worth the price with this location/utilities and the fact that Lora has a really bad attitude because now I think about it, she did NOT apologize to me at all... and almost made me feel I was the one asking too much.
