I wanted to give Chapter Aesthetic a try because of the January special for $99 hydrafacial, but the frustration isn't worth it. I've been trying to cancel my appointment. I called during open hours just before closing three days before the appointment and left a voice message because the prompt said the office was closed. I called again around 12p two days before the appointment and got the same prompt. Google and Yelp list the hours of operation are 9a-4p on Saturdays. First, their social media and telephone prompt urge people to go to the website to book. However, I did do that to schedule my appointment for Jan 19 and then was called to say that it was already blocked by someone else and that the regular practice is the website double books. When I asked the woman then how do I guarantee my appointment she said always call to book. Given that I have been calling to try to cancel and no one answers, I can only imagine calling to book would be just as frustrating. I have called the 701-219-7933 number that goes straight to voicemail. I have called the 312-257-3049 number almost half a dozen times and it goes to voicemail saying it's closed when the call is during the hours of operation. Maybe they cancelled my appointment based on my voicemail but I definitely never received a confirmation of cancellation. I have to say this is my first experience with Chapter Aesthetic and it has proven to be one that will deter me from rescheduling. I have used Face Foundrie and will continue going there due to ease of booking, cancelling, and overall service. read more

Kept getting bombarded on Insta to come have a $99 hydrafacial so I signed up. Was told I could come 30 mins earlier for a "free skin assessment", so signed up for that too. Had the skin photographs taken and was given my "skin age". However after that no one really talked to me about it, explained what it meant or even what I could do to improve it. Had the quick facial and didn't even appear dewy after. Guess I got what I paid for. I asked about Botox and they won't do it by unit and claim to charge by area. I have been getting 40 units for years and it works for me. Apparently here it would be 64 units so it would be way more expensive than what I'm used to. Tried to sell me on the membership package but I immediately said no thanks why would I pay for that and have to go elsewhere for Botox? That makes zero sense. Overall very unimpressed with this place and won't be back. Bought a retinol so guess I'll see if that was worth it. read more

Bait-and-switch tactics. This place is extremely shady and not upfront about pricing. I was sent a 50% off coupon, and when I called, I was told Botox would start as low as $6 per unit. They refused to clearly explain pricing over the phone. Once I arrived, the entire experience felt like a used car sales lot. Instead of honoring what was discussed, they immediately tried to push a membership on me. When I said no and was already in the chair for the procedure, they suddenly charged me more than the lowest price listed on their own price sheet. They never disclosed how many units were being injected, repeatedly deflecting by saying pricing was "per area," which is deliberately misleading. Transparency was nonexistent from start to finish. This is absolutely not the level of professionalism or honesty I'm used to. If you're considering this place, run. There are countless reputable, transparent aesthetic providers in Chicago. New place in my latest fave hangout area, Fulton Market! Love the ambiance and energy of the staff. The decor is luxe and really pretty. Super cute new corporate franchise medspa that just opened with a fantastic deal on Botox, so I went in for a refresh, and it looks pretty good at about 2 weeks later. My nurse Lauren had the best skin, and you know that lends some credibility. I really appreciated her authenticity and candor. She did a good job, my face got into shape, and did a chemical peel to enhance. Scheduled a quick follow-up, which should be gratis, but we shall see... need a slight tweak, but overall very very satisfied. read more

Every injector I've had at Chapter is great! With that being said I have never had the same injector twice, seems like high turn over. You can book any time slot on their website but that's a facade. Book a time slot and it probably doesn't exist, you'll get multiple texts after the fact asking if you can come in at different times. Previously, you purchased Botox in units, apparently that has changed to tier pricing, (didn't find out about this change until I was sitting in the injectors chair) was told base level for "spot" treatment was $350, went to checkout and was told $450. I would assume this information would be on their website when booking an appt or would be informed when I got multiple texts from Chapter asking to change the time I booked online. All in all the injectors are awesome but this location feels poorly run &not on the same page internally. When looking up the corporate location for Chapter, I learned this was their corporate office which makes this more laughable. Will be going to see Brooke, a previous injector at her new salon moving forward! read more

Saw this new medspa was opening in the West Loop and had to check it out, went for the promotion (50% off first time clients) started with an in depth consultation with Caroline, super knowledgeable and nice! Followed by the skin wave facial with Haley. She did a great job and was really friendly. Checked out with Jordan who was also absolutely lovely. Looking forward to my next treatment! My doctor advised me to to go forward with a treatment and even though I had a doctors note they wanted to go ahead with the procedure. This isn't my first rodeo, moved out to Chicago a year ago and have been trying to find my way into a local medi spa as I typically go in 1-2x per year. Very nice people and facility. Not the best injector or technique? Went in for my 11s, crows feet and forehead. Initial visit I received 40 units at $7, thought wow good deal. They kinda pushed the membership but not too much since I had a 2-week follow-up. Return back, my 11s are still very much present and I look like I have a question when I raise my brows. 5 units at $14 since I don't have the membership which they kept attempting to push. They proceeded to auto schedule me for 4-months... 2-weeks later (4-weeks total) + $358.28 I still have 11s and a question with my brows. read more

Two weeks ago I noticed ads popping up everywhere mostly on my Facebook feed and Instagram accounts and I finally booked an appointment to receive a discounted botox treatment because the offer was extremely good. I'm someone who rarely partakes in botox -- maybe a visit once a year simply because I prefer a good peel or microdermabrasion treatment. I decided to give this place a try and booked an appointment over the phone but not without having to call this office multiple times because their lines were so busy. When I met with my injector I was informed that she was going to inject my forehead and my frown line between my eyebrows and I didn't come here to treat my forehead lines because honestly they really don't bother me. She insisted that she had to include treatment to my forehead and not just between my eyebrows and she talked me into receiving xeomin instead of botox. I ended up spending way way more money than I had intended to spend and I felt like I had not been listened to and that I was being bullied and forced into much more areas of treatment than I had initially agreed to. The office is lovely but this is primarily a medical spa that is trying to get their customers to purchase memberships and based on my nurse's treatment of me I felt like this was a spa that wants ongoing memberships so that you will continue using their services regularly. This experience was stressful and I received needle injections at the very top of my hairline which stung and made me feel uncomfortable. It was the first time anyone forcibly insisted on working on my hairline when my primary goal was to simply create a more well rested look in between my brows. I did notice a full week after treatment that my furrow or (L line) was still extremely prominent so I called the office and was promised a call back within the hour. By the end of that day I decided to call to follow up and the manager apologized and called me back and told me to be more patient to see better results. I was scheduled for a follow-up visit this morning and there was a different esthetician there and her assistant who greeted me. She assured me everything looked great and fully supported the work of my original esthetician. She said she didn't think it would be good to add anymore botox or product and that she was extremely pleased with the results. I accepted her decision and left and when I went outside in the daylight I noticed I still had a furrow in between my eyebrows and in the past injectors would ask ME how I felt and they would always add a bit of extra botox completely complimentary so that I left feeling confident and happy with the results. I will definitely not be returning here. I didn't feel as if I received a positive experience or treatment and I can still see way too much movement going on in between my eyebrows because my muscles are extremely strong especially when I sleep at night. If I don't look well rested it's as if I never went to get a treatment at all. I also didn't appreciate the staff not carefully examine my forehead in better lighting. The mere fact that I constantly received text messages from this company on a daily basis was also extremely intrusive and this is a form of aggressive marketing that I don't appreciate. No one likes coming in for a specific treatment and being forced to treat a different area. My past experiences with other medical spas did not include this type of aggressive attitude. I'm including one final piece of advice to the manager here. I came here to treat my frown line and I absolutely wanted everything to go well and potentially become a repeat customer. In the past other medical injectors examined my face closely, listened to my concerns and without hesitation they added a bit more botox to the center of my brows to make sure I was completely happy. Your staff absolutely didn't care. Your head esthetician was more concerned about defending the actions of the first person who initially worked with me and said everything looked wonderful. When I stepped outside in the daylight and walked throughout the west loop I could still see the L line and it definitely bothered me. You should make sure to address the concerns of your potential customers and not send them away without making sure they are personally happy with the results. I also didn't appreciate receiving multiple texts sent to my smartphone with deals and advertisements about your other services. This is the only time I felt disappointed about receiving an injection please take more time with your customers and get to know them first. read more

I'm always nervous at med spa appointments but this place was fantastic from the receptionists to the injector. My injector was Lauren and she was so knowledgeable and not pushy at all with products. I told her exactly what I wanted and my budget and she did it. Very happy with my results a week later. Will most definitely be back. read more

Wow! This is a really good example of how a business should not be run. I walk into the beautiful salon, clutch interior design and was offered coffee. I scheduled a facial. I arrived for the consultation and was advised by skin care. Instead of receiving a service the point was understood. I had bacteria that would be best addressed with skin care ingredients but the point was I booked a service to show up. I wanted to leave with a little bit of a self-esteem boost feeling pretty. I was willing to spend a couple hours and couple hundred dollars and I can't believe I was turned away from receiving any service at all. Also just unprofessional in general. I showed up early was made to wait after the appointment time. They were not mindful or respectful of my time in the least The woman who I met with The without saying their name. So she walked in never told me her name didn't have a pen. I was made to fish one out of my purse if I wanted to fill out the three-page intake form and provide information about my prescriptions and emergency contact all just to be turned away 5 minutes later. read more

I am obsessed with Chapter Aesthetic!! If I could I'd come to this office everyday for treatment or to just hangout. The staff is SUPER friendly and knowledgeable! I felt completely comfortable the moment I walked in the door which is huge for me because trying a new place for my injections always makes me super nervous and doubtful. I can't say enough how much I highly recommend this location. My nurse was amazing and for the first time I can say I didnt feel pain while getting my Botox. I also love love love the membership!!!! Not only do you get gifts/discounts with your membership but the fee you pay monthly goes towards any future services you get. I went in for Xeomin treatments and followed up on my appointment. The 11s I had treated still showed up and was told by the nurse that Xeomin has a natural effect, then proceeded to calculate the cost of treating again which should be the reason of following up; to see if the treatment worked out or not. This is not my 1st time treating my 11s and I was shocked by how this was handled and the inconvenience of the follow up and paying for a treatment that wasn't efficiently administered. read more
