This place is PHENOMENAL…read more it is their second location, just opened in North Salem, and the owner Antonio is the best ! You can order to pick up, order for delivery, or sit down and enjoy their fine dining portion of the restaurant with white tablecloths and cloth napkins. The dine-in menu is different than the delivery and take out menu We had plump mussels in garlic sauce with fresh bread. There was fresh focaccia with black olives. We tried the halibut with sweet potatoes and a medley on top with a terrific sauce. (This was my favorite, and I don't even love sweet potato! It was a delicious combo) There was perfectly cooked lamb chops with a chimichurri sauce over butternut squash mash. Phenomenal. There was a pan seared chicken dish with a mushroom cream sauce. We had special made desserts and fresh gelato. The gelato menu changes, and we tried (in order of my favorite) a - red velvet - Ferrara Roche - Oreo cheesecake - cherry. Bathrooms were clean, nice free parking lot is available. Overall, magnificent. This area doesn't have too many nice places. They win at service and food. Note: it's a BYOB and they don't charge any corkage fees. It's perfect because you can bring whatever you'd like to drink and they provide the glasses! In case you can't tell, I really like it here. 5 stars.

Went there on a beautiful day, a perfect day for ice cream. Going in here is a huge hike for us being that we live 40 miles away. It's always a highlight to go, and we always order large cups when we go. Keep in mind this place is not a bargain, you generally get what you pay for and this place has always been worth it except for this trip. And with all my excitement, I neglected to see how much gelato was left for one of the flavors I ordered, and it was the bottom of the barrel-instead of the young gentleman talking me out of the flavor, he gingerly scraped up with all his might whatever was left in the bottom, then proceeded to ask me if I wanted a flavor that was similar to it... Shame on me I said no, and he proceeded to give me the other flavor I had asked for which is a chocolate brownie. As he scooped, I said you know what give me some of the cappuccino please-he huffed and puffed and arrogantly told me he could no longer do it... Why? You've only done a couple scoops of chocolate what's the big deal. Asking him a question it was like I was asking him a life ending favor. He then huffed as he took my husband's order. As we both ate our ice creams we were very mystified that it was lacking the flavors that it once had. True, we both had tried new flavors that we never had before, but it didn't have the same texture and it was overly sweet. Secondly, my husband got their waffle cone. Now let's talk about how the boy neglectfully scooped that waffle cone... He didn't put any ice cream in the cone only slapped a ball on top - that was it. The ice creams came out to $16 and honestly the waffle cone was flavorless! My husband wound up throwing it away as it probably was one of the worst waffle clones he's ever had. Maybe we need a break but we definitely need a break from that young gentleman who took our order... He needs a little polish refresher course on how to be a little more cordial and Little accommodating. Thank God for the tip cup! As for the parking, it's hell, absolutely satanic but that is not reflective of the rating. You are at the mercy of street parking and not easy to find.

The taste of real Italian Gelato comes to Pompton Plains!…read more This was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a clean, modern look that made it a great place to relax. The owners spared no expense and it shows. The owner (German) and staff were friendly and patient, offering samples and helping me choose from a wide variety of flavors. Almost two dozen flavors to choose from. The gelato itself was outstanding--rich, creamy, and full of flavor. I tried a combination of coffee, peanut butter and pistachio, and all were incredibly smooth and authentic. The kinder Bueno was insanely good. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients. The portions were generous, and the presentation was simple but appealing. What stood out most was how fresh everything tasted. It felt like the gelato was made with care, not mass-produced. Prices were reasonable for the quality, and overall it felt like a great value. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a delicious treat or a cozy place to hang out. Plenty of easy parking. Thank you, German for your kindness.
