Best ice cream around! The custom cakes have been a birthday tradition for over 10 years and they never disappoint.

I recently stopped by while driving back into CT from a short vacation. Il Bacio is located in a small strip mall. There was a bit of seating outside. But it seems like a place you get your ice cream to go. I tried a flavor called Sopranos. Which has some vanilla, cherry and fudge elements. It was a solid flavor. I also tried one with peanut butter fudge and Oreo. Also Solid. Worth checking out of if you're in the area. 4 Stars read more

Too expensive for ice cream. They also take a summer vacation. How does an ice cream shop take a summer vacation. Thats the best time to sell ice cream. Go to Stews read more

Great hard serve flavor options! I tried the chocolate lace which was perfectly sweet and creamy. The inside has a few tables and coolers with premade ice cream sandwiches and the staff was efficient. I would say it is more of a takeout ice cream place but I would definitely come back. read more

IL Bacio Ice Cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Danbury, Connecticut

Saw this place was close to my new home and decided treat myself to some ice cream. The line was very long, but the staff was very efficient & friendly. The portions were also very big! The list of homemade (homemade!!) ice cream is long and changing (check out Facebook for their updated lists)! I tried the peanut butter snickers one and the praline one. Both very absolutely delicious and creamy! They also offer a range of toppings and waffle cones. Their sorbet/ fruity flavor selection is also big for those that prefer to avoid the heavy dairy! Will definitely be coming back! read more

Some of the best ice cream in the area. We come here frequently in the summer. Today I had salted caramel and chocolate covered pretzel.

Service was great, and it is such a cozy little place! As for the ice cream, their snickers was simply the best ive ever had!!! French vanilla was also good! read more

This is a really popular ice cream shop in Danbury. Service was really excellent! There's lots of parking available. I had the pistachio. It was so rich and creamy. They have a wall with pictures of customers. They take pictures if you want so you can add your picture. There were lots of customers but the service is great. Really excellent. read more

Came here after hearing great things about their ice cream and was not disappointed! The flavors were great and I really appreciated the variety that that they had. The ice cream was super rich and creamy, and the cardiac arrest flavor was perfect for a chocoholic like me. A little sad that we were told that we couldn't get whipped cream on cones when we saw pictures of it on social media, but that's okay. Would definitely come back the next time I'm in the area! read more

Very small place inside of a strip-mall with a large variety of homemade ice cream and cones. The place is so small that there are not any seats inside or out. The ice cream is extremely creamy, however I got the chocolate chip and it didn't have a lot of chips in it. The cone tasted pretty generic 4/10 read more

This place...wow! You must must must stop by for a scoop or three of Il Bacios creamy and dreamy ice cream! Loads of different flavors to choose from and friendly people ready to scoop bowlfuls of happiness!! read more

Best ice cream east and west of the Mississippi. No question about it. Cookie monster was delicious. Amen.

The amount of butter cream in this ice cream will ruin every other ice cream you will eat for the rest of your life!!

Pricey but the ice cream is very good. Lots of flavors to choose from . Be prepared to spend $$$$

This is the best ice cream store I have ever been to. Every flavor my husband and I have tried is absolutely delicious. We particularly love the black raspberry, almond joy, wonderful varieties of chocolate and good old vanilla. Also, the service is spectacular. The young people who work there are helpful, polite and always have a smile on their faces. Just a pleasure! Thanks for providing kindess and deliciousness to our community! read more

I've cream is not good. We went in last week, during COViD mind you, I ordered 2 flavors of ice cream, the owner put a flat top on my ice cream, smashing the flavors together, if I wanted blended flavors, I would have ordered a milkshake.... so I told her I no longer wanted that cup of ice cream she served me, and she told the young girl to out it in the fridge in the back. Why? 3 people had now handled this uncovered small cup of ice cream and she didn't throw it away?? Was she going to put it back into the I cream bin after I left?? I will never go back there. There are many creameries within a 5-10 mile radius that I will go out of my way to get to before i ever return. Here. I am honestly thinking about calling the health department . read more

My favorite ice cream in the state and the place that I recommend most to people looking for someplace they've never been. Tony is an absolute magician and doesn't cut corners when it comes to ingredients. Flavor suggestions: Chocolate Lace; Mallomars; Cardiac Arrest. And get whipped cream on top. read more

IL Bacio Ice Cream - a hand holding an ice cream cone - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Danbury, Connecticut

You wouldn't know just how outstanding this place is from the outside. The exterior is just another slot in a crowded strip mall. Inside is perhaps the BEST ice cream place I've ever visited. Absolutely EVERYTHING is made in house. Hard ice cream, soft serve, even the waffle cones! They put their own spin on everything. I had the Chocolate Lace, vanilla ice cream with giant chocolate rice pieces and caramel. Never had anything like it. The strawberry was top-tier. Never had it better. S'mores and Cookie Monster flavors also fantastic. Service was super quick and there are COVID precautions in place. Masks required and tape on the floor to direct traffic. This place is a little far from home but it's 120% worth the drive. We will be back! read more

Really good ice cream, lots of options, great customer service! I really like the chocolate mousse, Heath bar, and Twix. I will definitely be back to try more flavors! read more

Excellent ice cream made fresh on site. They run a tight ship, clean, bright and great service. It can get very busy but they keep the line moving. Cardiac Arrest is amazing. You will not be disappointed read more

I can't slam this place, it's really amazing! the only reason I don't give it a 5 star rating is for the limited seating for such a very popular spot. I do understand though because the store itself is long but not wide enough for tables and more seats. The only seats are some benches along the wall inside the store but if you opt to sit the crowds asses will "almost" be in your face. If someone passes gas, um yea your wonderful ice cream experience is basically over. So take a seat if there are no crowds otherwise go back to the car. The popularity of this place is obvious when you drive up and there are droves of people inside & outside the store. Even cars had doors opened in the parking lot as families sat inside their vehicles eating ice cream. So yea, seating sucks but the ice cream certainly does NOT! The selection to me was very satisfying. More importantly the serving sizes I thought were very generous for the pricing so you certainly are getting value for your dollar. I got a small wafer cone with some soft serve ice cream and while the cone was fairly small I expected a small amount of ice cream but damn the ice cream towered so high it was longer than the darn cone itself. Now if that's not value for your buck I don't know what is! This place is popular for a reason. Good selection, good ice cream and great serving sizes. read more

This probably should be a full page ad in the News-Times but - IL BACIO NOW ACCEPTS CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS!!!! Was there the other day (had to grab cash at Rite Aid next store) and when I went to pay I looked at the credit card machine like a Cave man would view a laptop. I wasn't expecting this! I asked the cashier "what is this?" He looked puzzled and thought I must live under a rock (which is fairly accurate). "This is a credit machine," he replied. "But no this IlBacio! It's cash only!!! We all know that!" I countered. "Not anymore," the cashier replied. I almost dropped my ice cream to run out of the store to scream it from the roof tops = "Il Bacio takes cards!!!" Salty tears of joy mixed with my CookieMonster ice cream. I'll definitely be coming back more frequently now!!! read more

Excellent ice cream! On a road trip back home, we decided to stop for some ice cream along the way. We were all glad to stop here, where the flavors were varied and creamy delicious! I went with a scoop of the chocolate lace and a scoop of the peanut butter cup with hot fudge and whipped cream. The toppings were plentiful and the ice cream was awesome. Chocolate lace was interesting--crunchy, yet sticking in my teeth like butterfinger candy does, and the pb cup was chock full of the good stuff. Plenty of choices to please even the pickiest of eaters--hard ice cream, softserve and even italian ice. Worth a stop if you're in the area! And cash only!! read more

I love the owner's Gina a husband they come out with free samples they help the community employ the kids during summer time they give the kids off during spring break and Christmas break. They gave huge ice cream portions I got to know how they can afford it the brownie Sundaes are so delicious! I like going here instead of the large ice cream places just because the large places the lines are just ridiculously long hear the Lions can go to the door but they get to them fast because they have so many people behind the ice cream coolers. My wife and I loved the cardiac arrest in a brownie Sunday! We wish I could take care of Sopranos more often but it's a popular ice cream they want to give chances for other ones that's what they told me. read more

I love this place. We go here often and all the reviews are correct the ice cream is really good. They only take cash so make sure you're prepared. Ignore the strip mall location as well (it's a funky strip mall). I have started getting a pint or two and taking it home to keep in the freezer as well as ordering there. The staff is always friendly and I think that the place makes their own waffle cones which are super good as well. All in all the best ice cream I've had in a very long time. read more
