Snippy Service tonight. I placed an on line order . When I arrived only one person was servicing a line of people . Three other girls were in the back area in some back room..They walked right past me when they decided to check the front.. but they clearly were not even working... I noticed another girl taking selfies in the back room so I asked if she worked there. She said no. Immediately one of the girls then with big attitude told me that I need to wait for her to help me. I waited a bit..and she helped a line full of young guys.. then they three girls noticed my order was never made.. The one star is for the owner/location, not the guy who served us. I was there with one other person and there were 5 people in front of us. There was only one employee on a weekend afternoon. It took about 20 minutes for him to create each individual order, then ring them up all separately. I felt so bad - who schedules just one person in a hot store on a weekend? As we were waiting, about 10 people formed a line behind us. They should schedule one person to make the ice cream, and another to answer the non-stop phone and ring up the prices. Came here with the family. Since it is the dead of winter, we were the only ones there. Nobody was ahead of us, so our party didn't have to wait for service. Making the order was slow (part of our party were already sitting down eating their ice creams while half of us hadn't even ordered yet), but this is in some ways a given: the whole novelty behind this brand is the cold stone and the fact that they hand mix everything. It takes time to shape the ice cream, get the toppings, mix everything together, clean the stone, etc. It seems to be more of a flaw in the overall business idea versus having a lazy staff. The staff were in good spirits and seemed to be moving along as fast as they could. So when you come here, you should just expect slowness. The quality of the product was excellent as usual. "Birthday cake remix" was fantastic. The kids had chocolate with various toppings. Everyone was happy. Prices are high. Order was inaccurate. Wife ordered a love it in a like it bowl, which was then double-cupped in a love it bowl. So bottom line is she paid for love it and got like it. Exact opposite for me. I ordered like it and got love it. We didn't figure this out until we were already halfway done and we were comparing the cup sizes. How hard is this? So: yey for food quality, and service needs improvement on the accuracy side, as well as somehow trying to speed things up if possible. Maybe 2 people make 1 order? Not sure. Recently I ordered a cake here for a graduation party, we sent in the pictures (which was extremely difficult since no one seemed to know the email you're suppose to send them to after charging $90 for a photo cake) after I sent the pictures I called to let them know if there were any resolution issues to let me know and I would send another photo the young girl just quickly said to call back when the cake decorator was in at 2, so that is what I did, she then said to me that the photo fit the cake layout just fine and there was no need to send another photo, well come the day we pick the cake up, it is awful the photo is all distorted, there is a weird yellowing on the top of the cake, the photo is no where near the size it's supposed to be, and was placed completely wrong and crooked, when I mentioned it to the guy behind the counter he agreed that it was bad and that he would get his manager or call the owners after waiting a while he came back and said there is nothing the owners can do. I called the next day to speak to them they agreed to call back, for several days I called to speak to them didn't hear back they dodged my calls instead, there was also almost no cookie dough in the cake at all, they said they would be available at 4pm to talk so I called that day at 4pm and they had just left. I had proof of what was promised to us cake wise and the owners and the cake decorator continue to dodge me because they know they are in the wrong. I wouldn't care but when you pay $90+ for a cake you expect it to actually be edible and not look like garbage. Owners are extremely rude and cake decorator just continued to say she has worked there for years. Well it doesn't show It disappoints me that in order to review I have to give a gold star, because this location does not deserve it. read more

I've been to other Cold Stone's and as far as the ice cream goes, it's just OK with me. I would prefer a normal hot fudge sundae with the TOPPINGS on TOP, not mixed in. And real hot fudge rather than the chocolate "fudge" they squirt into your concoction. As far as service goes, this location is just plain S-L-O-W. Both times I've been here, there has been 1 girl working the counter and ringing up sales. Then invariably, the customer has a dozen questions while I stand there and wait, my lunch "hour" (just 30 minutes) ticking by. Needless to say, with one person out front, the tables don't get cleaned often enough and they always manage to slop some ice cream on the side of my container, guaranteeing sticky hands from the get go. Our guests treat themselves to the ultimate ice cream indulgence by mixing-in any number of fruits, nuts, candies and other toppings on our signature granite stone." Right. What the deal is as far as I saw it was a Starbucks-decor rip-off with a bunch of miserable high schoolers slapping bland-as-hell ice cream on a cold slab of marble and then mashing a bunch of crap into it to make it taste good. THEN when someone tips them, they all blastinto this cheerless song about getting tips or making ice cream with minimum enthusiasm. I'm sure that it would have been three times as horrifying if they were actually enthused about making scorching asses of themselves for a measly dollar thrown in a cup. I don't like a whole lot of stuff in my ice cream. I just like really good ice cream. Their selling point is that you can pick from all these cookies and candy and sauces and they'll mash it all up for you and charge you $5.00 when you could go to Carvel, get way better ice cream for $2.00 and won't be subjected to lifeless chanting and songs about Cold Stone set to the tune of "I've Been Working On The Railroad." Filthy! I have stayed away for months bc every time I go there the "children" who are employed there are so incredibly rude and dismissive its breathtaking. They don't wear gloves, she went from leaning with her friend on their cell phones right to the ice cream freezer, no handwashing or gloves. The front and back counters always look dingy, spotty, dusty, and grimy--generally unkempt, messy, sloppy looking. Hardly ever see manergers, owners except for a few times and they weren't much better. The employees need to be supervised and they need health safety training especially with regard to the dangers of going from the cash register to the prep area. When we ordered the cup of ice cream the kid asked us for the ingredients list four times because he didn't know how to make it. It was his first day working yet there was no one in sight to help him except the "manager" that occasionally came out to make random ice cream orders and walk into the back with them. We ordered a lava cake in which they informed us that they didn't have the lava for (fudge) and proceeded to give us additive when we said we didn't want it then. I love Cold Stone, but sadly, this location seems to always do something wrong whenever we've visited within the past few months. One time, they were out of multiple ingredients that are part of their signature creations. Another time, when I asked for a love it size, gave me a "gotta have it" cup that was 1/2 full and threw the rest that was on the counter out saying because he put it in the larger cup, I only get half (what?!? Why didn't you just give it to me in the love it cup so the portion is correct? This way, I ended up paying for a love it size but getting less quantity). Two days ago, we went and all of the ice cream was melting yet they continued to serve without making any adjustments to the cooler temperature or checking with the customer to see if melted ice cream would be okay! Also, side note, the ingredients are not always mixed completely, so for example, if you ordered something with peanut butter, you may take a bite and get a whole chunk of peanut butter. I don't know, seems like management isn't managing properly at this store. Portion reliability, ingredient stock, and customer service needs some help. read more

I can't believe anyone would write a bad review about Cold stone ice cream. It's so far out of any other ice cream shop, store, or brand available to you in this area's league that anyone saying bad things about it must be either completely ridiculously or ridiculously cheap. If you want a large amount of mediocre ice cream for a great price, this really isn't the place for you, but if you're looking amazing ice cream and are ready to shell out a little more money than you're probably used to- you won't be disappointed. If you haven't tried it, you really don't know what you're missing. Anyone looking for a recommendation- PLEASE try Banana ice cream with chocolate chips, roasted almonds, walnuts, and black cherries! We went to this Coldstone's location today for a quick dessert. There was only one person working so there was a small wait but this isn't an extremely busy location & we were still helped within 10-15 min. If you've been to a Coldstone's you know what to expect. Good service (even with the one employee), delicious ice cream, & delicious mix-ins. If you have never been to a Coldstone's, here's what you can expect: get in line, choose a size or cone, then either an item from their menu (coffee lovers is my favorite) or a base flavor ice cream then add mix-ins. Also the candy they have in jars, clearly as decor, has been in there since they opened the place, which is quite unappealing...
