I wanted to give this place a good review because it's my home town bakery and I want to support my…read morecommunity. Also, the ice cream cakes are good and the ice cream is decent as well. However the owner is extremely insensitivity and cruel. On several occasions, I've heard him talking down to his workers and if that wasn't bad enough, he was rude to me on several occasions as well. He's very intimidating to speak to about just about anything! I've tried winning him over with logic and kindness, but he's just awful. During my last experience, I asked him to please clean the serving spoon because my daughter is severely allergic to nuts - a practice that the workers typically do before they serve my daughter's ice cream because there are other ice cream flavors that contain nuts. He nearly snapped at me! His response was that he knew what he was doing and he went on and on in front of other customers. I politely waited until all the customers walked away and tried to reason with him. I kindly explained that my daughter is severely allergic to nuts and has to carry an epipen wherever we go. Again, he replied rudely, despite my explanation and patience. He replied that he "wasn't going to kill" my kid. I was taken back! He said all this in front of my child. We both were stunned by his insensitivity and rudeness. Honestly, I wanted to simply leave and cry in my car, but I had to show face in front of my child. I walked to the register, paid for my order, and walked away. Since then, I haven't returned. I don't know who wrote all the recent good reviews - perhaps, the owner's friends and family. I'd scroll down to read all the horrible reviews because they're speaking the truth. The owner is outright careless, nasty, and has no customer skills whatsoever. Unless you want to be insulted and treated like a peasant, I'd stay away from this place.

I truly love the Goodie Shoppe! Everything in the bakery is amazing. I just got the cupcakes for…read morean occasion and they were Fabulous!! They are huge and so impressive everyone wanted to know where I got them from. I cannot thank Mark the owner enough for going above and beyond for me!! If you are having an occasion or just craving something sweet I highly suggest that you go to the Goodie Shoppe. P.S. the pizza, the bread, the cookies, pastries all fresh and so delicious!!!

This place is PHENOMENAL…read more it is their second location, just opened in North Salem, and the owner Antonio is the best ! You can order to pick up, order for delivery, or sit down and enjoy their fine dining portion of the restaurant with white tablecloths and cloth napkins. The dine-in menu is different than the delivery and take out menu We had plump mussels in garlic sauce with fresh bread. There was fresh focaccia with black olives. We tried the halibut with sweet potatoes and a medley on top with a terrific sauce. (This was my favorite, and I don't even love sweet potato! It was a delicious combo) There was perfectly cooked lamb chops with a chimichurri sauce over butternut squash mash. Phenomenal. There was a pan seared chicken dish with a mushroom cream sauce. We had special made desserts and fresh gelato. The gelato menu changes, and we tried (in order of my favorite) a - red velvet - Ferrara Roche - Oreo cheesecake - cherry. Bathrooms were clean, nice free parking lot is available. Overall, magnificent. This area doesn't have too many nice places. They win at service and food. Note: it's a BYOB and they don't charge any corkage fees. It's perfect because you can bring whatever you'd like to drink and they provide the glasses! In case you can't tell, I really like it here. 5 stars.

I went with some friends who have had dinner there many times. The name and advertising (pizza and…read moregelato) is misleading- their dine in restaurant is so much more! White tablecloths and candles, delicious food and attentive service from beginning to end. Mike Jr selected a three course meal for us that was just amazing- cooked to perfection, seasoned beautifully and courses complemented each other perfectly. (i am a foodie and like to think i am a good cook so my standards are pretty high!) The fact that you can bring our own wine is a slam dunk! Check this place out if your focus is excellent food, reasonably priced and not (only) your typical fare. Can't wait to go again for a work gathering!
