Was in the area with friends and decided last minute to get some ice cream after dinner and found this place on Yelp. We were delighted by all the different flavors of ice cream, toppings and italian ice. I opted for a medium cup of two flavors - fudge oreo and cookie dough heath bar (I believe) and topped it with peanut butter cups - boy both flavors were amazing! I love this place. We go here often and all the reviews are correct the ice cream is really good. They only take cash so make sure you're prepared. Ignore the strip mall location as well (it's a funky strip mall). I have started getting a pint or two and taking it home to keep in the freezer as well as ordering there. Pretty tasty icecream! I tried the tiramisu flavor and was not disappointed. The staff is a little rushed because there is is a line of patrons. Nevertheless you are allowed 2 samples. The small was around $4 and was plenty for me. The staff provides free cups of water if you ask for it! Great flavors with your choice of hard icecream, soft icecream, or Italian ice. This ice cream place is much more unassuming in appearance than Double Twister, but it is more than a match in quality. Il Bacio makes their own ice cream. And you can tell. The selection is good -- maybe not as good as Double Twister's selection, but the ice cream itself is better. This Minnesota boy is a lover of what Minnesotans call peppermint bon bon (but what everybody else erroneously calls mint chocolate chip) and it was fantastic here. The folks that run the place are super friendly and we're always amused to see them greeting almost everyone who walks in by name. There's not a ton of seating, inside or out (some plastic lawn chairs just outside the door), but the quality keeps us coming back. Ignore the chintzy strip mall location. I've had a lot of different kinds of ice cream from all over the place. I think Ilbacio has the best ice cream I've ever had. I usually don't try different kinds of flavors cause I'm a plane Jane but I love their Cookie Monster flavor. My girlfriend and I have eaten an entire quart in one sitting (not smart). They only take cash and I think the pricing is fair. I usually buy a quart of the flavors I like so I'm not sure what a regular one scoop cone would be. If you're in the area definitely come through this place. The service is always extremely friendly and don't be intimidated by the long line. Being lactose intolerant, the one dairy item I could never give up is ice cream! I'm a huge fan of it and this place does not disappoint. They give you a big portion even for the small and it's reasonably priced, although they only accept cash. I can even eat some flavors without it bothering my stomach. Creamy and creative. The Cookie Monster looked blue and strange but it was a great mix of chocolate and cookie dough. The chocolate covered strawberry was the best, though. This is not strip mall ice cream place. I try ice cream places every where i go all over the country and this place does it right. This would easily be in my top three and is a competitor for #1 but it's hard to unseat the place I grew up with. The creamy-ness is spot on. It's almost as creamy as the farm ice cream I grew up in. The flavor is there and doesn't taste fake the temp of the ice cream is spot on as well as this is where most place foul it up. The temp has be just right to not make that creamy to hard but it can't be warm enough where it melts to fast. A lot of paces have creamy ice cream but they keep it so cold that it makes it harder than it actually is. We go from NJ to MA at least once a month and we now have a pit stop place that we stop at at least in one direction and sometimes both. read more

First off im Italian so I tend to lose my temper quick lol first off I remember these owners from when they owned the original double twister back in the day. They had lines out the door. I had heard the wife never wanted any kids which is fine but then years later decided she wanted kids so the husband sold double twister to if im not mistaken his cousin, uncle, can't remember thete was something about the recipe of the ice cream staying a secret so he sold him double twister but wouldn't share his recipe incase they came back which they did. But I got to say my family and friends have noticed that the ice cream is not as good as it once was we actually prefer to now go to double twister and I tell you something I've always noticed about that wife Gina of his especially when training there female workers shes got a temper on her my sisters daughter worked thete couldn't handle her temperament she has to scoop just the right amount she had a fit with my niece would crab the scooper and yell at her that she's scouping to much she gave those poor girls a hard time I heard the husband is more easy going but the wife forgetta about it! read more

The owner of this place used to be at Double Twister so I knew Il Bacio would be great! Ice cream is delicious and the flavors are awesome, I'm partial to Cookie Monster and Cupcake. We were really pleased with service and the variety of flavors and delighted with the deliciousness, so good we went twice. Absolutely obsessed with the Cardiac Arrest ice cream that is sold here. CT native from New Fairfield for 18 years and then moved to St. Petersburg Florida for school with no intentions of ever moving back, but when I come back to visit family, stopping in for a double scoop of my all-time favorite ice cream is a must. Still have yet to find a chocolate ice cream that even comes close to rivaling the master piece that is Il Bachio's Cardiac Arrest. While I am wholeheartedly dedicated to this chocolate masterpiece, I have heard from friends and family that their other selections are amazing as well! Overall I would absolutely recommend this place as a stop. I've been a loyal customer for years and love their peppermint stick ice cream. It's a seasonal flavor that they started serving at the beginning of November this year. I called them to order my birthday cake, peppermint stick of course, on a Tuesday and asked if I could pick it up Saturday. They wouldn't make it. Told me 4 days isn't enough notice. So I told them I'd pick it up Sunday but they said it still wasn't enough time. I stopped by the store and after some coercing, the owners finally admitted they didn't want to make an entire batch of peppermint stick just for my cake. Why not? It's a seasonal flavor that they were currently selling so it wasn't like I was asking them to make peppermint stick in July. A friend of mine went in a few days later and they had peppermint stick in their cooler. WTF! They lost my business. I won't support their store any longer. read more

Truly the best ice cream I've ever had. Don't know how best to explain it but with most commercially prepared foods -incl. ice cream- there's this almost imperceptible but sharp aftertaste I get.
