Stopped by the Blue Dolphin with friends for a bite to eat after shopping in Katonah. This is a very eclectic Italian style diner with great atmosphere. The menu and food all excellent. Service very friendly and speedy and menu prices very reasonable.

Burger and pea soup in Katonah. Decent food. Cute atmosphere. Service good. Thought we were going to a diner but it's restaurant.

If you want to get transported to Italy while in Westchester, Blue Dolphin is the place to go. The food is authentic & delicious, and their service is meticulous & super friendly. Space is limited inside but they have a big, covered outdoor extension as well.

The perfect iconic diner drop-in which mustn't be missed! Everything's delicious and the service is first rate!

Off the menu: best chicken francese

Loved the dolphin north and are. If fans, the pasta is always great and I love their fresh bread.

I have been here before with my grandpa because it's his favorite restaurant in the Bedford…read moreHills/Katonah area in West Chester. I was really in the mood this time for the caesar salad and I wanted to try the spaghetti and meatballs since I wasn't a huge fan of the (not so baked) baked ziti. The caesar salad had the perfect dressing to lettuce ratio and there weren't too many croutons. I was a big fan of the spaghetti. The meatballs were the perfect size and the pasta wasn't too salty. I also noticed how the pasta wasn't over or undercooked. I could also tell that my dad and my grandpa really enjoyed their meals as well. The food quality was great and our service was impeccable. Our server was helpful and was able to answer all of my questions. The server was also very helpful when it came to taking care of my grandpa who had trouble seeing the menu. She brought an extra light to the table in order for him to see the menu which was really kind. In general I would say that I enjoy my trips to Katonah and I think it's pretty cool how the owners of the restaurant had the idea to convert the old train station into the restaurant. If you look closely you can see that there are some elements of the restaurant that make it appear as if you are in an old fashioned train station but I am confused by all of the horses although I do love them.

We came with friends. Service was fine, Miriam was very attentive. The fare is standard, rater…read morepricey, and like most Italian restaurants, the pasta is oversauced, drowning the flavors. My ziti with eggplant was okay, but the eggplant, and even the ziti were overshadowed by the sauce. The place, a former train station, is attractive. When we asked to split the bill, the manager (?) said they couldn't do that, which was unfortunate. Not sure we'll come back.

This time was a more casual lunch with friends, and the menu is basically bulletproof for any dietary need. You can go clean and delicious, or you can go indulgent and joyful. Either way, you win. The staff? Fantastic. The vibe? Even better. My first visit was a business dinner -- polished, comfortable, and impressive. My second was a relaxed catch‑up lunch -- still perfect. That kind of consistency is rare. Come in jeans. Come in a suit. You're exactly as you're meant to be the moment you walk through the door.

The good: fantastic service. The starters were good. Grilled eggplant, spinach dip, calamari were…read moreall tasty. It's a nice space with the right kind of lighting, but the bar music was a bit too loud for easy conversation. The main courses left a lot to be desired. I don't think any of us (a party of +6) had a really good main course. The Thai vegetable curry was embarrasingly terrible. Stodgy, overwhelming garlic, slop on a plate. Chickpeas and unidentifiable bits of veg with tomato sauce and gloopy rice. So bad, and no thai flavor at all. At least make a decent thai red curry sauce. Or use coconut milk and lemongrass or something that isn't just garlic mush. The fish dish was literally just a piece of fish with a bit of sauce and a curlicue of something. Nothing to go with it. The chorizo shrimp burger tasted okay and had a lot of food on the plate, but my husband said it fell apart as he ate it. I think the Whitlock needs to do better than this. It's not a budget restaurant. I expect better food than what I can make at home.
