I had an absolutely phenomenal experience with Selman Collision Center from beginning to end. I was shaken after my first-ever accident, but I was kindly greeted by Bob when I brought my vehicle in for evaluation. It truly felt like Bob cared about me and my well-being, which was welcomed during an otherwise scary situation. I was given a loaner vehicle while the repairs were being done, which was a *miracle* considering the cost of a rental car wasn't otherwise covered for me. Because of this, I was able to wait however long it took for the repairs to be completed without stress or financial repercussion. I picked up my vehicle today, and it might as well be brand new. Last year I brought my 2015 Camaro convertible in for repairs, after the splash guard came off on the freeway. My complaint after reviewing the dash cam footage showed they put my convertible through the on site dirty car wash. When I picked my car up I could see were the car wash beat the cloth top making wear spots in a couple areas, I pointed the damage out to Teresa but she acted out like she was holding a hose and said " we hand wash...." And stopped talking once to pointed out the dash cam looking right at her. Now I'm in Oregon and my top leaks where they ruined it using the on site dirty car wash. Teresa not only breaks your space when talking to you but will lie to you as well, also the paint job was weak and does not match. read more

Worked with Selman Collision about repairing my car through my insurance (Mercury). During the entire process I was constantly talked down to by Bob, the estimator. After dropping off the car the first time, my seat cover for the driver seat was torn off the seat and left sitting on the seat bottom. Not sure why they had to rip the seat cover off.. but it was broken and no one said anything about it to me. When I suggested there was damage that was not repaired fully after receiving my car back from them, he was very dismissive and made it seem like I was making it up. After having to push for them to look at it again, I dropped the car off for them to inspect what the issue was. I left the car there for a week while on vacation, and when I came back they said they didn't find anything wrong. So I took the car back and the issue was obviously still occurring, because I could hear something was rubbing unusually. Finally after contacting my representative from Mercury who contacted the shop manager, Dan, my car was given the attention of the mechanic who rode along with me so I could point out the problem, which he agreed was unusual. After getting the car finally fixed 100%, after literally 6 months of going back and forth, I went to pick it up. To be fair, they said after an accident it's hard to find everything that needs repair and somethings come up after initial repairs. My complaint is not that they didn't fix everything the first time, I'm not here for perfection, but that the service was lazy and demeaning. Dragging out a repair with a service representative like Bob was annoying because of the lack of respect he gave me, the customer. Finally, I was given my car back and it was given a complimentary car wash, something I didn't ask for but was a nice touch. Unfortunately, during the last stint there, possibly during the car wash, the weather strip on my window was left dangling off the car. Somehow, even when they try to have good service they still end up messing something else. I can't state how much I despise going back to Selman Collision. Two stars for getting the job done, but with terrible service. read more

Not one thing went well with my repairs here. First, they told AAA they could get my car in right away, but little did I know, it'd be sitting on their lot for over a month waiting for parts along with a dozen other customer vehicles. They claimed they get parts just as fast as Tesla but I later confirmed directly with a Tesla repair shop that this isn't true. The day I finally picked up my car, I immediately Noticed my tire was rubbing the newly installed bumper. I had to take it back to have them repair this. I dropped it there and 20 min later they said it was good to go and that they just needed to set the wheel well away from the tire using a hammer. Then a few days later, I got a low coolant warning. They didn't take responsibility for this though, in the accident, the radiator bolt had broken and the radiator was dragging. Still, they agreed to top it off and ensure it's sealed properly. Over the next 5 months I could still occasionally hear my tire hitting the wheel well in the same spot as before when reversing and turning the steering wheel. I took it back again after noticing that the parking sensor cover in the same wheel well had rubbed off, and instead of offering to correct things, they try to point out wheel-bite paint chips and insinuate that this was my fault. They refused to work with me and said I need to contact my insurance again. Not only do they lack the skills to perform repairs properly, but they also lack the integrity to take responsibility for their mistakes and make things right. read more

My brand new Tesla was rear ended on the freeway. I went here to get it fixed and bob was so sweet he even prayed over me when I told him I had cancer. However my car wasn't perfect when I got it back. The lining on the bumper isn't lined up correctly with the trunk. I can stick my finger through the gap between the rubber lining and the bumper. He was sweet but I was disappointed that they would even return my car that way. I wouldn't have returned it unless it was perfect to begin with but that's just me. I wish the guys here had the same work ethic as well. I will be retuning my car to have them fix the issue as soon as I am feeling better (cancer sucks, so does this "fixed" bumper) read more

I was referred here by my insurance after getting in an accident and I am very pleased with my experience. Bob was informative, personable, and called with updates often. Woke up one sleepy morning only to walk out to my car on the way to work. Pop in the key and start it up. The engine roared so loud! "They got me...." I though to myself Thieves came in the night and cut out my catalytic converter. Was able to use my roommates car that day but I was able to meet the deductible and work it out with insurance. Afterwards, I called Selman Collision Center to see if they could fix my car up and asked about their free rental car program. I was told they will need to keep the car for a few days and that the waitlist to borrow one of their fleet was 75 people long! "At least they can work on my car and I'll figure out the rental car situation later" said my worried mind. I took my car to Selman for the repairs and while there, I witnessed an irate man asking for a free rental car while his was in the shop. The Selman representative was telling the man that the waitlist was very long and offered to actually pay for his Uber ride home instead, so the man agreed and sat down while his paperwork was processed. I spoke to another friendly representative who worked out all the details with me and asked me how I was getting home. I looked at the ground; I didn't have an answer for her but figured I'd walk the several miles back or take an Uber (which has gone up a lot in price as of late). "Let me see what I can do" she said. And left to check the damage in my car. After signing some papers, I walked outside and another rep was there who waved at me to come over. She said that this car just returned from a customer and had not been washed yet but they were willing to just allow me to use it until my car was fixed! We did the visual inspection and off I went! I couldn't believe how amazing their customer service is here. I was treated so well, and for a day that started sad and grim due to vandals taking my car converter, I seriously wanted to cry due to their kindness and empathy towards me. These guys pretty much ruined my car. So I am selling it off. These guys Do NOT quality check after the car is fixed. Meaning they do not test drive to make sure car drives normally First of all, my accident occurred I October 2021. I took it to Selman Collision as I had positive experience in the past. But this time I can't say anything but frustration towards their professionalism. I understand parts take a while to arrive but waiting for 6 months for one wheel to arrive? That's ridiculous. Even if I call to ask for the status of my car, receptionists would purposely transfer your call to empty line. Even if you leave a voice message, it will go unchecked. So the only way to get hold of them is to raid their office without notice. After excruciating 6 months of wait, I finally get my car back and I immediately noticed there's an unusual sound coming from rear differential. So I took it back to have them get it checked. I get a call back more than a week later (ridiculous right?) and as expected, informed me that differential needs to be replaced which tells me that they did not TEST DRIVE before handing it off to the custome! So now I end up waiting additional 2 months for the car to be fixed again. After two months, I finally get the car back again and I realized MORE problems in my car that they failed to detect. Rear trunk struts been shot dead, and there's clunking noise from front steering when you brake or steer. Again, these guys did not test drive to make sure it drives as it should since I noticed it within 5 minutes of driving it. At this point I am tired of these guys' lousy workmanship and so I decided on selling my car. I waited for 8 months only to be forced to sell my car at a loss. Definitely not ever doing business with these guys. These guys are a joke. They don't have the slightest care about you. You are nothing but a piggy bank to them in a conveyer belt. Come in if this is the kind of service you want for 8 months. I'm making sure all my friends and family (hopefully saavy online patrons as well) do not go to this place, if you value your car and time that is. read more

Really enjoyed working with Jin to repair some minor scratches on my vehicle. He showed great care in every part of the process. It took a little while to get everything moving along with my insurance, and the wait to get a loaner was substantial; however, they took care of me and made sure all was great and that I was satisfied. Free loan of a vehicle while your car is being repaired! AAA recommendation after I was rear ended by a young girl with only $5000 car insurance liability. I am glad I came here. Extremely satisfied with the way Bob handled my case. He would update me on progress or delays. My car came back just like new. His team was even able to apply a rear bumper guard that I had stored in my garage that was warped by heat. I took my truck to Canyon Auto Body in Brea twice and Thier work did not just not last long at all but also had a big run in the paint and my hood was not prepped correctly so the primer starting coming through. I brought it to Selman and Steve talked with me about what needed to be done as I also had them do my roof. I will say I'm extremely happy with not just the work they did but Steve and his staff communicated with me very well and treated me very professionally. I'm extremely happy with how well it looks and how well the paint match is with my truck that has 600,000 miles on it. Just don't rent a car from Enterprise Rental Car they are horrible. I initially decided to have my car repaired at Selmans because they offer a complementary loaner car, and I'm so glad I made that decision. Bob and Laura were exceptional in handling the repairs, and they have excellent customer service; Which is hard to find these days. Another thing I love about Semans, is their ability to handle any other repair to the car that you may need. My car had several dings on both sides including a large dent on the rear trunk lid that weren't related to the accident. They removed all the dings and the dent, and my car looks brand new. Customer pay repairs were also quoted at very reasonable prices. My experience at Selmans was so different than other body shops I've been to in the past, that I can't imagine going anywhere else. I went with this shop as desler recommended it. Unfortunately when it comes to getting your vehicle fixed. You have to inspect everything they did before you drive off. Especially the paint job they do. They used a touch up pen and charged for a full panel paint job. When I pointed it out the bad job. The excuse they gave me was they epoxy they used as filler must of shrunk and sunk in. Yet invoice said sand a paint. If it was sanded their would not be a lip around the edge of paint chip. Put on used parts and charged insurance for new ones. Calling it price adjustment on a seperate page way at bottom. That happened to equal what a new part cost. Either the manager doesn't know what the workers are doing or he wants them to cut corners in hopes they get away with things. The workers are careless and ruined my new expensive seat covers. I had them repay me for them. Over all my one and only experience with them was not extremely terrible. As Mike the manager handled my complaints like a champ always happy with a smile. Bob, the estimator, gave me exceptional customer service from beginning to end. Somebody backed into my car and I found out it was going to take almost 2 weeks for a part to come in. Bob was very reassuring by helping me understand why the part would be such a long wait. The part arrived early because he called it in before the offices closed for the weekend. Also, I read a few yelp reviews and would like to say that for those who felt they got poor customer service from Bob, I can kind of see where you might have misinterpreted that.
