They changed there name from accurate alignment to RC Empire. They want 1000 dollars to install lowering springs. Maybe that's what it cost. Or maybe they are out of their minds. Ether way I will go elsewhere. The person answering the phone was nice enough but didn't know the first thing about what I needed. Good luck with your name change. ***I stand corrected, it was 800 dollars. Which is a ridiculously high price and did not include any alignment work that I was aware of. During these times of a pandemic money is tight for everyone. FYI, you are required by law to inform people that they are being recorded. California is a two party consent state, which requires you to get my consent to record our phone conversation, which you did not (violation of California penal code 637.2). Customer service is excellent! Family-owned. They listened to all of my concerns and worked out a deal to meet all my needs. I had a lot of little things that needed to be replaced or touched up. I had some sun damage/aging on the hood, roof, and hatchback of my sequoia. See here for the before and after pics on the paint job. My first experience with Tony and RC Empire is what will bring me back. I came in with a clucking noise in my Scion XB and asked them to see if something was wrong underneath. They found a caliper bolt had been sheared off at my brakes, which was causing that noise. Well they were able to get the bolt removed and saved me a lot of money! I recently got a used 2003 Toyota 4Runner which I knew needed some attention and an alignment, so off to RC Empire I went. Due to the age of the car, the shocks needed replacing as well as new tires. Tony helped me order some really affordable tires through Tire Rack, which got delivered to his shop and he installed them onto some aftermarket wheels I brought in and than on to my truck. He also got me some new shocks, did an alignment and the truck runs great! During this whole process, Tony would text pictures and questions which made communication very easy. Tony and his team at RC Empire do fantastic work, are very honest and Tony is really just one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. I went in to get a diagnosis for my truck I was told over phone 40$ i just had a belltech lowering kit installed by a different company and the truck was making loud jingling noise I went to one other shop before this to have it diagnosed as well they told me they couldn't find the issue everything was installed correctly i paid a service fee and left After calling I decided to have them take a look at it. At first these guys were awesome had a great attitude let me be in the shop with them to see what was going on with my truck since I love to work on my truck myself (I came in during my hour lunch break to get the truck diagnosed) when you walk in they make you sign a piece of paper (my bad I did not look at it before signing) The paper was blank with no price or what type of work they were planning on doing They tried to diagnose my truck for an hour and could not figure out where the noise was coming from now both technicians were both trying to figure out what was going on with my truck (both test drove it and was able to hear the noise) they suggested that they take everything off and add washers even though they thought it was all put together correctly in the first place After an hour of diagnosis and about 20 minutes of them trying to take things off and further diagnose the truck I politely told them I did not want to rush them and I would be bringing the truck back later for a further diagnosis because i had gone over my lunch at this point I asked them to put the truck back together so I could go back to work (it was only four bolts to put it back together) So I ended up asking what my total would be expecting to pay just a diagnosis since they never figured out the issue and only took off four bolts and put them back on exactly how it came The reply I got was $180 they told me they charge $100 an hour for labor plus the diagnosis fee (which was only supposed to be $40) everything I was told did not make sense At this point I'll be honest I lost my temper told them I was only going to pay the service fee and nothing else the manager started to try and bargain with me so i would be able to get my truck off the lift and get my keys back so I can go back to work He was very adamant about the $180 with no explanation and I was very adamant that I was not paying $180 long story short I paid $100 for them to try and diagnose my truck even though they were unsuccessful finding the issue! Three hours later I get off of work call another shop nearby free diagnosis fee within 15 minutes they found the issue I ended up tipping the guy $100 Moral of the story these guys are scammers Hence the reason why their name has changed and they only have a two star review as of right now By the way if you guys (from the shop) reading this guys it was a washer sitting on top of the fucking axle just bouncing around right next to the bolts you guys were taking off and putting on! read more

I had numerous deferred maintenance issues with a 1994 Ford van I purchased via Craigslist. Doing my research over who in Orange had the lifts and equipment needed to properly align this huge heavy beast, multiple mechanics referred me here. So I show up and meet Emily, Antonio, and Isaac. And yes, their big machine that can lift and align my beast. Antonio and Isaac put it on the rack and knew exactly what to for, and I needed some serious work. They showed me all the worn bearings and demonstrated to me the failure. Seeing it, I had to agree to replace it all, then align, new tires, new spare tire winch,and they did a perfect job powder coat on front/rear bumper, all tire rims, including two spares so now all match, and the hitch, so now it looks like it came that way from the factory. They have lots of connections for parts and tires. They work with several internet tire retailers so you can get nearly any kind of tire made, then they will accept the shipment from the warehouse and mount them. Mine was www dot tirebuyer dot com They have other warehouse shippers too. They have been there for me for several body issues that showed up. This is an old style family business that does it right without breaking the bank. I would have not spent so much time writing this if I did not have a debt of gratitude for their help in my rescue of a 25+ year old van . I am quite sure they remember me... I first found out about RC Empire a few years ago when both of my cars were damaged by falling trees. I was told by everyone that the damage was beyond repair and the cars needed to be totaled. Recently, my BMW mechanics told me that I needed new struts, alignment as well as front and rear brakes. Because Tony and his dad had done such amazing work on my auto body repairs I called him to get a comparative estimate for the exact same repairs my mechanic told me my car needed. RC Empire's cost was roughly 1/3 of what my mechanic would have charged me. Furthermore, Tony told me that only my front brakes needed work not my back ones. I needed new tires (again!) and I decided to try Tire Rack as a friend recommended them. I had to find an installer and RC Empire was listed as a preferred installer so I chose them for installation. I have always taken my car to the dealer so I was a little nervous about other places working on my car. Emelyn and Tony were very responsive when I called to schedule my appointment. Tony did a great job explaining why my tires were wearing down and that my alignment was fine. I felt he is very straightforward, knowledgeable and honest. Tony is the man. Usually shops like this come out with laundry list of repairs needed. Tony identified my issue gave me several repair options and his opinion of how thorough the repair would be. I asked about replacing some other wearable items since the suspension would be apart anyways and he said save my money since these parts were in good shape. What mechanic declines more work because it is not needed? A good mechanic who understands we all are not rich. My alignment is back to spec and holding well. read more

Very happy with the service from Tony and his crew. I purchased a used camper van and knew from the first moment tI drove it hat something was wrong with the front end. Was referred to this shop by a local tire dealer and Tony was able to take a look at my rig right away. Discovered that a few of the front end parts were worn and needed to be replaced ( not unusual for a 2007 vehicle that weighs almost 10,000 pounds). He also found that the power steering fluid was leaking, leading to some steering issues. Before he replaced the parts, he told me that there might still be understeer, but that a steering damper could help. He also talked to me about rear airbags and even showed me one he had in his shop so I could understand what they are. Very happy with the service I got new tires and Alignment on my Toyota Venza. My tire sensor came on and I thought I had a flat tire but it was the sensor that wasn't working. I didn't know those have to be replaced as well. They checked my tires and needed two to be replaced. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Tony was very HELPFUL. Had my s500 Mercedes coupe at Empire for an alignment after replacing some chassis parts. ASE Certified tech for years. Upon picking the car up I asked if all was well, they said yes gave me a print out. The specs were so far out, it was worse than when I dropped it off. The front tires were scrubbing on a left turn, it pulled to the right. Nothing like paying for an expected service and have the tech that obviously couldn't find the correct specs for the car and he guessed. Took it home, set it up better than it was when I left his shop just so I could drive it back, for a redo. Well I guess I insulted him by letting him know he might want to consider employment at Mattel...They refused to put it on the rack so I could see how close I was. We argued for a minute or two, and they actually had the nerve to say they would call the Police if I didn't leave their property. After laughing in his face and offering an invitation to go across the street for a 1st lesson at no cost kickboxing class, which of course he wanted none of. I let him know my credit card will cancel his payment, and I'd be leaving him a promising review. Steer clear of this shop, because they learned to do alignments with a roll of string and a construction level. If I may I found a great shop called Gran Prix Tire in Costa Mesa, an these guys are pros ! Empire, you guys are as crooked as your alignments ! read more

I am a retired A.S.E master mechanic. I do my own restoration at home and needed a place to align my cars after suspension repair. Accurate alignment was highly recommended by friends. Apparently they have changed ownership since then. I dropped off my car to be aligned and not only was it adjusted improperly it was modified by cutting (!) a suspension component because the technician lacked the basic knowledge of how to do an alignment. This is alarming because when asked why my wheels aren't pointed in the right direction he told me lies and kept trying to change the subject. And rather than admit that he doesn't know why he told me that "this is the reason no one wants to work on old cars" Which is untrue. There are plenty of people who work on old cars but he decided that was the problem not his total ignorance. These people are downright dangerous and out and out liars.
