THIS GYM IS WHERE ITS AT! From the staff to the overall environment, there's no other place I feel more comfortable at than self made! I train with Vanessa A. 3 times a week and since starting my fitness journey with her, my life has completely changed for the better! I struggle mentally and I will say, there's no medication that has made me feel as good as I've been feeling! simply from working out and using all Vanessa's advice/tips to better my health, daily! She has given me that extra push I needed to keep going! And she continues to motivate me! Even when we're not together at the gym, a simple Tex to check in, remind me to stay active, eat well and simply wish me a great day, means the world to me! I've had my share of trainers and never have I seen as much progress as I have with Vanessa! I plan on continuing my fitness journey here at self made with Vanessa for as long as possible!

Before and After (3 month transformation)

This review is for coach Nate, and what can I say, he really taught me a lot about working out and how to incorporate a healthy lifestyle. I started training with coach Nate in April of 2023, and after 3 months, my physique looked 10x better. I came in not knowing how to do exercises properly, had elbow pain from a dislocation years back, and did not know how to eat healthy and gain weight. Coach Nate told me exactly what to eat and what I needed to do to gain muscle mass. In 3 months, I gained over 8-10 pounds with Nate, and I felt stronger than compared to day 1. Coach Nate also helped me resolve my elbow issue by incorporating exercises to help with the elbow pain and help build strength in my injured elbow. Fast forward to now, and I have gained about 20 pounds while training with coach Nate. In April of 2023, I weighed 150 pounds, and now, in March of 2024, I am 173 pounds. Coach Nate has helped me exceed expectations I never thought I could reach. I came in looking very skinny and tall and not knowing how to put on weight and do exercises correctly. Coach Nate has helped me hit PRs on my deadlifts, squats, and bench presses. I started only being able to deadlift 100 pounds, and my PR now is 225 pounds. Coach Nate has helped me hit my fitness goals and made me love working out, and I can't thank him enough. Everyone needs to train with coach Nate; he will get you right and in shape

Braedon works with me and my hectic schedule regardless if I'm home or on the road. If you're considering getting a personal trainer, I cannot recommend Train With Dave enough. The combination of in-person accountability, tracking my workouts and food in the app, and Dom's constant encouragement (yes, even texting me on weekends to remind me to stay on track!) has made all the difference. In about 5 months, I've lost 20 pounds and gained back muscle I'd been missing for years. As I get closer to 40, it was really important for me to rebuild strength for long-term health -- and Dom has helped me do exactly that. The 6 AM sessions are perfect for my schedule, and having others there training alongside me keeps me motivated. If you need structure, accountability, and results, this is the place to go.

I tried doing it alone, but I quickly realized that I had no clue what I was doing both at the gym and with my diet. I needed someone to help teach me what to do. I found Coach Nate on Yelp, read through his reviews, and decided to give it a try. I am so happy I did! Nate does an awesome job of teaching you how to do an exercise no matter what your starting point is. He's very patient, constantly checking in with you and asking you questions to make sure you feel comfortable with what you're doing. He pushes you to your limit, but makes sure you have all the support you need to get past it. By the end of my 3 months, I felt comfortable and confident enough to do the workouts on my own. I knew what I was doing, I knew how to correct my form, and I knew just how much I could push myself without losing my form. Nate also helped me create a meal plan that worked with my lifestyle and met my protein goals. I remember at one point I felt like I was not making any progress until Nate started asking me questions about my diet and cooking. We both quickly realized my mistake (using way too much oil when cooking), we fixed it, and we very quickly starting seeing results again! I was able to lose 5% body fat and gain about 7 lbs of muscle within 3 months of working with Nate. I don't think I'd ever be able to accomplish that if it wasn't for his mentoring and constant support! I highly recommend you work with him, you won't be disappointed! From the first time I walked in to get more information from Francis, everything was straightforward, honest, and no-nonsense. It's a solid space to work out without pressure. The recent expansion has added another level of real functionality and appeal, making the space even better. You get high-quality equipment, a clean and well-designed space, and great coaching without paying for hype or trends. It feels like a smart investment if you're serious about training. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and non-judgmental--people of all levels are there to work out, and it's easy to feel comfortable whether you're new or experienced. It never feels chaotic or overcrowded, which makes a huge difference. The biggest reason this place stands out is the ownership. Francis and Justin are genuinely good guys. They are friendly, approachable, and actually care about the people who train here. You can tell they've built Axiom with intention and pride, and it shows in the atmosphere and the community.
