I was what some doctors over the past ten years dubbed a "project," with chronic pain and limited mobility stemming from dual thoracic outlet syndrome, carpal and cubital tunnel surgeries, tendonitis, and [long story, short] a severe spine and hip-joint injury in 2016 that finally led to severe depression and weight gain. Desperation sent me looking for a PT this year for strength training and weight loss, and I found Mike by chance. We initially discussed my multitude of issues during a trial session, and while the few prior trainers I had met before him either didn't understand my concerns (one guy daren't even try) or simply brushed them off as effects of weight gain when the opposite was true, Mike wasn't fazed - he took them seriously and established a thoughtful routine to ensure lasting success. I lost 10 lbs in the first six weeks with his guidance, and went from a painful, limping, 20- to 30-minute walk every other day, to walking 1 hour twice each day in just three months. Only took me a year to write a review for Mike haha. I started training with him in July of 2020. The transition to his in home gym was my favorite part of the Pandemic. He kept everything clean, spaced out, and always keeps his clients safety in mind. I came to him with a lot of injuries and I'm now on my own with the tools to keep from further injury and almost no chronic pain to those areas anymore. He is a great trainer, mindful about those who struggle with food relationships/body image, always has a fitness answer/modification, and gives fist bumps at the end of every session.
