I'm new to Olympic Weightlifting and thanks to Rep Max Performance I've grown so much and have learned to love the sport! Where Rep Max Performance truly shines es is with the coaches: they are super attentive and friendly. For a newcomer like me, they are really good at breaking down concepts. However what I appreciate most is they truly are invested in everyone's growth, and everyone as a person, no matter how long you've been at the gym or your skill level. Whether you're brand new to weightlifting or a veteran, I can't recommend Rep Max Performance enough! read more

Awesome weightlifting gym in Orange County! Did 2 drop in lifts. Owner was communicative and flexible. Great place for weightlifters in the area read more

10/10 recommend! Friendly, great space for olympic lifters or powerlifters. Big, open, dumbbells, racks, kilos, steel plates, and biggest seller: gym dogs! read more

The BEST gym for weightlifting in Orange County! Tons of platforms and a really smart layout with different areas for Olympic lifts versus stretching, dumbbells, etc. Great quality equipment -- the bars are perfect. The owner is great vibes too and super accommodating! Drop-in for a lift if you're ever visiting the Anaheim area! read more

The spot for Olympic lifting, getting strong, and making friends. Definitely recommend taking their two week trial to start out

Rep max is an awesome place to get into weightlifting training, whether you're a beginner or have been at it for years. The coaches all pay attention to what you need and work together with you to address your weak points and build you towards your potential. I can't recommend this place enough!! read more

Great weightlifting gym in Orange. The owner Adam is friendly and super helpful. The other staff are really cool and nice. I usually train during open gym hours so there aren't much people there. The only 'con' I have is the parking, the gym is hidden on a industrious road and parking can be hard to find sometimes. Other than that, good place to get weightlifting training in. read more

Rep Max is a great gym for both those experienced weightlifters and folks who have never picked up a barbell. The coaches are super passionate and knowledgeable, and the community is so welcoming! I would recommend this gym to anyone, but especially if you want to learn weightlifting and/or strength training or are an experienced athlete looking for a new home! read more

This isn't just a place to go to the gym. My wife and I came to this gym learn a new type of lifting which we have thoroughly enjoyed learning. What we didn't expect is the family culture that RMP offers. We highly recommend this place not just for the sound training you receive but the people you meet! read more

This is a great, no-nonsense, spankin' new place for people who live in SoCal that want to regularly train olympic weightlifting and powerlifting without having to do Crossfit. Don't live in Orange County? That's fine -- if you ever find yourself on a vacation to Disneyland or on a business trip OC, this is also a perfect place to pop by for a drop-in without having to pay for exorbitant drop-in fees or go through a class sign-up thingamajig. Drop-ins are only $10. There is ample space, plenty of platforms, plenty of bars. Really, this spot is a weightlifter's dream. I also happen to know the owner of the gym, Jeff -- he is a great coach with an eye for technique, and the other coaches at this gym are also great. You can come here to casually lift, but there is also coaching available, if you want to take your Iron Game to another level. Now, I am no Lu Xiaojun, but even as a newbie weightlifter, I think I can confidently call this gym one of the best weightlifting experiences in California. Do not hesitate to check this place out if you're a weightlifter visiting OC, or someone local interested in getting into weightlifting! read more

Amazing coaches and gym. All friendly and know the correct methods on catering to each of their athletes. I started a year ago and my total so far is 310kg (Snatch 130kg and c&j 180kg)... I'm also in the 67kg weight class! Wouldn't have been able to accomplish this milestone without the coaches and warming community. REP MAX TIL I DIE! read more

Joining Rep Max just under 2 years ago was probably the best thing I could have done for myself not only as a weightlifter, but as a person as well. I owe a lot of my success in this sport and growth as a person to the coaching staff and community of this gym and I have quite a bit to say about that. I've been in a part of many training facilities throughout my time doing strength training and now Olympic Weightlifting and what I look for most is the environment of the training facility and I believe Rep Max has an amazing community that feels like a family, should you decide to be more active in it and even if that's not your thing, everyone - from the athletes in the weightlifting team, to the powerlifters or to the general strength enthusiasts - is supportive and encouraging to each other. When the gym is full and everyone is having a good time working hard to achieve their goals, there's no better feeling. The coaches, to me, are the highlight of Rep Max. Before officially joining last year, I've known Adam, Jeff and Jerry for some time and they've always wanted me to be a part of the team and they're enthusiasm and support have persisted to this day. They're incredibly detail oriented, very clear on instructions and very patient when it comes to dealing with athletes at a variety of experience levels. I've seen them work with beginners and have made learning weightlifting engaging with coaching that is simple enough for beginners to understand but effective enough to produce immediate results. Then, when it comes to higher level athletes they apply more analysis and attention to the program to ensure long and sustainable progress. The newer coaches - Demetrius and Alexa - are doing an amazing job of stepping up and bringing in new energy to the training facility. Adam, Ashley and Alexa also provide really effective Nutrition programming that can be tailored to your needs and goals! I do want to point out a few things about Rep Max that should be known before signing up. Rep Max has gotten a lot of new members this past year alone and while the 8 platforms they have to do olympic weightlifting on are typically enough to accommodate a good amount of people, lately there's been times where even on weekdays the wait for an open platform gets pretty noticeable. There's also a separate area with standard iron plates, power bars, benches, deadlift platforms and squat cages for anyone doing either powerlifting or more general training. These Iron plates aren't calibrated Kilo plates like you'd see in sanctioned powerlifting meets however and the benches are unadjustable and the squat cages, while more than enough for general use, don't have the adjustability as the squat racks you'd find in dedicated powerlifting gyms/meets. One last thing I want to highlight, the owners are CSUF alumni and have integrated a way for CSUF students looking to get into Olympic weightlifting at a heavily discounted cost to make it easy and accessible for college students. You get full access to the gym and comprehensive programming. I know it's a long review, but I wanted to make sure I covered everything I can without dragging out the review into an essay. Rep Max is simply an amazing place to start your fitness and weightlifting journey with all the support and hospitality of an unmatched gym family! read more

5 stars all around. I was in the Anaheim area for two weeks for work last June and I needed an Olympic weightlifting gym to drop in to a few times for those weeks. I came across Rep Max Performance from their great yelp reviews and I'm glad I did. For a very reasonable rate, I was able to drop in to the gym about 8 times when I was down there. I can't stress how impressive their gym space is! They have plenty of platforms with squat racks and jerk blocks, an area for power lifting, rigs, and a stretching area. They even had coffee! I am used to sharing a platform, but there was so much space here that no matter what time I was training, it never felt crowded. And their gym times are amazing. I was always able to get in a session, some days at 6am! Also, the area is clean and the equipment is top notch. Having great hours, great space, and great equipment is one thing, but what makes a gym is the community. Jeff and Adam go above and beyond for their members. They are both extremely knowledgeable of oly lifting, and I felt comfortable and welcomed by them and each member I met. Their coaching staff that I was able to work out alongside, including Jeff, Adam, Alana, and Jerry are experienced, relatable, and they were always there to help when I had a question. I am so happy that I was able to spend two weeks here and to continue my friendships with these wonderful people through social media and seeing each other at comps. I look forward to getting down there for one of their meets in the future and/or for a training session. Also, Rhonda, their gym pup is the cutest! read more

I've been wanting to do olympic weightlifting for years. I've tried it at crossfit classes and sucked at it. After gyms started reopening, I found this hidden gem after searching on yelp. Luckily, I was just in time for the weightlifting fundamentals class which I highly recommend. Coach Jared was awesome. He's patient and showed great expertise. Not only did he get me comfortable with the lifts, he was able to diagnose various aches and pains that I had from other activities like basketball and was able to suggest remedies. I enjoyed the classes so much, I continue to be a member after the course was finished. The other members here are extremely friendly as well. Highly recommend checking this place out for olympic weightlifting or general strength training. read more

If you are looking to improve your overall weightlifting ability, then this is the place for you. A dedicated weightlifting gym that has coaching and programming available for those who seek it. On the other hand, if you take your weightlifting or powerlifting seriously, then this is a solid environment that has all the equipment you need to improve your ability. Don't be intimidated by the above as they also offer interval classes for those looking to improve their general fitness. All-in-all, it's worth a visit to see if this place could be right for your needs. read more

I had been out of the gym for about 10 years when I decided I needed to get back into shape about a year ago. I did some research on gyms in my area and decided to try Rep Max Performance, and it was the best decision I have made in some time. I have been coming here consistently for a year and I could not be happier with my experience here. The owner and the coach's are incredibly nice and knowledgeable. There are countless times where they have helped correct my form. They input a new workout program for me every week. I can explain what I am trying to do, what injuries I have, and what my my goals are and everyone here has gone above and beyond to help me. I am usually here very early in the morning but the few other customers I have seen are always kind. This is by far the best experience in my life of going to a gym and I could not recommend this place highly enough. If you are looking for a good gym where you can put in the work, that has a good environment, and employees who are friendly and care, this place is it. read more

Great coaches, friends and a family!!! Wouldn't ask for anything more !! I'd definitely give this place a try :) The coaching has made me reach goals I didn't know were possible and I'm only striving to be better each day. read more

I love the Rep Max family. I have been training both in person and remotely with the coaches for the last couple of years. Beginning weightlifting, or really any fitness program in general can be super intimidating - but that is not the case here. Whether you identify as an athlete, average joe, a young grasshopper, or just wanting to improve your health, Rep Max treats you like apart of the family. I started off with very simple, not too ambitious goals and the coaching and support has allowed me to absolutely crush them. They really know how to keep pushing you enough to progress, but also know when to dial it back for longevity's sake. I am so happy that there is finally a facility - it feels like home! I look forward to all the PR's and gainz to come. read more

The coaches at Rep Max Performance pay special attention to ALL people who come in and train at their location. Whether you're dropping in for a single day sample session, drop-in fitness class, open gym, or programmed team session...you will not be left hanging. Coach Adam, Jeff, Jerry, and Alana genuinely care for all people who train at their gym. When you come into the gym, do not be afraid and intimidated. The coaches are very approachable and welcoming. Come in and say hi! They will work with you and find out what you are looking for in a gym. Personal training? - they got it. Specific programming? - check. Basic open gym membership? - done. I will refer this gym to anyone in the Orange County area 10/10 times. Come in and have fun training! read more

In just the couple months since I've starting going to Rep Max Performance I've already seen dramatic improvements to my weightlifting total! My snatch has gone from 110kg to 115kg, and my clean and jerk has gone from 138kg to 147kg (from the hang)! I smell 120 and 150 just around the corner. I attribute this rapid increase to the top notch supportive environment and highest quality equipment we have access to in spite of all the logistical obstacles they have had to overcome with Covid-19. Jeff, Jerry, and Adam always go out of their way to get to know everyone and have always been nothing but kind, caring, professional, and knowledgeable. The value to price ratio to be a member here is insanely good. My girlfriend (who has also seen crazy WL total improvements) and I absolutely HIGHLY RECOMMEND this awesome gym to anyone reading this review! Thank you so much Rep Max Performance! read more

This review is long overdue. Rep Max has become a second home to so many of us. You can definitely tell that Adam and Jeff care about all of their members and want us all to succeed. They're very professional, knowledgeable, and know how to motivate their members. There's tons of equipment, and the gym is very well maintained. They also have 2 great ATC's on staff, Erica and Damian, who are the best at making sure that athletes stay healthy throughout the training cycle. But what really makes this gym so great is the camaraderie that we've all developed with each other. If you lift here, you'll gain about a dozen training partners instantly. People who will celebrate your PRs with you, and lift you up when you need them to. read more

If you're looking for a good lifting session and don't want to worry about pull-ups, rope climbs, or box jumps, this is the place to be. The coaching staff are lifters. They break down each movement and encourage form over kilos. You don't have to worry about making a specific scheduled class, the platforms are open as early as 5am. They will even customize your program. Take a chance on some really cool people and get a good pump session. read more

I couldn't recommend this gym enough! From the first time I dropped in until now becoming a member, I've had nothing but positive experiences here. When I joined Rep Max Performance I had no idea what an impact it would have on my life. I have a background in fitness and some weight training but did not have any knowledge or experience in Olympic weightlifting. I showed up wanting to learn technique and improve my strength... but what I got was all of that and more. This gym is a community. It's a safe place to be yourself and learn from the best coaches around. My coach, Alana has been incredible. She is patient, motivating, supportive and adaptable. I've had injuries that occurred outside of the gym that she easily adjusted my programming for to help me continue to progress while I healed. Not only that, I compete in boxing and she adapted my program in ways to enhance my skills in the ring. She has gone above and beyond to ensure I am the best athlete I can be! The other coaches, Jeff, Adam and Jerry have all been helpful and supportive too. Whether you're a newbie or an experienced lifter, this gym is a place to call home. Thank you guys for giving me more than I could have ever asked for in a gym/coaches! If you are considering joining, I highly recommend you stop by and see for yourself! read more

I'll be honest, I was hesitant about joining Rep Max but 4 months later, it is seriously the best decision I ever could have made. I struggled at 24 Hour Fitness. It was intimidating and I knew I wasn't making the most of my time there. Since joining Rep Max I've lost a ton of weight and gained even more confidence. I'm confident about how I look and confident about exercising. I actually enjoy coming to the gym because I know what I'm doing! They provide personalized weekly programming and are there on site to answer questions and make sure you're doing things the right way. If you're looking for a more personalized gym experience and a rad group of people to workout with, this is your place! read more

I started weightlifting a few months ago here and I have not been disappointed! I signed up for a few weeks initially and just committed to a full year. The trainers are awesome and know what they're doing. Jerry, Demetrius, and Adam are the trainers I see the most of when I'm able to go and all are encouraging and very knowledgeable. The community here is fun and I always feel welcomed by everyone. Jeff was training me before they had opened the gym and I was improving weekly. I was breaking all my PRs and once their gym opened I started improving even more. This gym is great for weightlifters, powerlifters and even people who want more of a class setting. They accommodate everyone of different backgrounds in fitness. There is always a coach in the gym that will answer any questions you have and is willing to watch your form. I have a herniated disk and working with both Adam and Jeff I've been able to do deadlifts and back squats without an major problems. Hours are convenient to fit everyone's schedule. Coaches and members are friendly and supportive of everyone who comes in to train. Would recommend this place to anyone! read more

I've been training here for the past few months. As you'll see from other reviews, they mainly cater to people interested in powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting - strength pursuits, really - at all skill levels from newbies up to advanced athletes, as well as general fitness. I'm a fairly advanced weightlifter (not quite national-level) and this place has been outstanding for me; my girlfriend is intermediate-level (couple years in) and it's also been great for her; and I've seen quite a few beginner/novice-level folks thrive here as well. Plus there are guys here stronger than me so I have people to chase, which is important. The good: - equipment is high-quality and carefully maintained - coaches are friendly and knowledgeable - plenty of training space for a couple dozen folks at once - events here (including meets) are well-run and lots of fun - two showers - sauna! - excellent coffee The bad: - parking can be really annoying in the morning (not their fault, just the way it is) - ...that's really it, this is a legit great training facility read more

I've been doing remote coaching with Rep Max since early last summer and it was the best decision! Once the gym opened I knew I had to check it out. Coming from a 24hr fitness gym, I was a little intimidated at first but you really only need a day to appreciate the new environment. Plus, you don't have to wait for the only platform in the gym to open, Rep Max has plenty! Everyone is really friendly. There is always at least one coach there to help in any way. Best part is someone will always root you on! The gym is really for everyone, regardless of what type of exercise you do. I've attended one of the group classes and it kicked my butt, but it was fun! It's something worth checking out if you're new to working out or just looking for a good workout. read more
