There are many pizza places in Lorain, Ohio. Thankfully we have quite a few independently owned pizza joints so we don't have to suffer through the typical, cookie-cutter chains. Selenti's is definitely my favorite small-town pizza joint located in Lorain. Their pizza is delish! I am a huge fan of getting their breaded eggplant as a topping. If you call in an order to pick up the average wait time is 30 minutes. Their prices are very reasonable and the service is always pleasant and helpful. Selenti's is strictly a to-go pizza place as they do not have a dining room. Located on a very well-lit portion of Oberlin Avenue. I know their location may be a turn off to some folks, but I have never had any safety issues at this location and am never afraid to go get my pizza after-dark. Well-lit parking is located right outside their front door on the southbound side of Oberlin Avenue. Give them a shot! Selenti's Pizza will not let you down!!! read more

The only thing I liked about this place was that they sold pizza by the slice. After eating the slice, I could I didn't like anything about this pie. A pizza crust is supposed to be dense and crispy. This was like bread. The sauce was more like spaghetti sauce and the cheese and pepperoni were very low quality. We won't be back. read more

Owner says It's too difficult to put the correct prices and items on their website. As a result, I paid for something they were out of or no longer offer. A real disappointment when ordering pizza for a family get-together. I called the store and eventually reached young people that couldn't care less if there was an issue with the order. On a positive note, if you reach out to the store on their website, the owner does read the complaints. I left my number for a Manager call back. Don't bother making suggestions though, the owner is overly defensive and communicates that they do everything correctly. While talking to the owner, I realized "the customer is always WRONG". Poor food quality for the price. Too many better options for pizza in Lorain. I gave Selenti's Pizza my last shot. I never thought anything I have eaten from there was worth the money. UNPROFESSIONAL OWNER. BURNED FOOD. Went in for the taco pizza which was great the first time I had it. This time the crust was very dark/over cooked however, and not good-tasting at all. I called and let the person who answered know that my pizza was burned. The person on the other end of the line abruptly told me "no it wasn't." Needless to say I was flabbergasted, so I brought the pizza back to the restaurant to show them. A young person came up to help me, who I showed the burned bottom, and at least the guy had the decency to look ashamed. I asked to speak to the manager, after which a man popped his head from around the corner where they prepare the food and barked at me " I'm going to give you your money back." I recognized his voice from the phone conversation earlier, so I realized at that point I wasn't going to be getting any kind of apology so I took my money and left. The young man offered me back the burned pizza and said he was sorry for everything. I asked him if the rude man was the owner, and he shook his head yes. I couldn't be more disappointed with my experience. It's sad when a teenaged employee has more manners and business etiquette than the owner. I guess he figures since it's his place he can do whatever he wants. That's fine, I'll never visit this establishment again, and judging from reviews I'm not the only person who has had the same issues. Newsflash Sir, no one wants $20 burnt pizza served with an attitude. There are too many other options. Good luck. read more

I ordered off doordash which I've been looking for a privately owned pizza place here in Lorain (Lorain seems to be flooded with commercial pizza joints) so I gave selentis a try. I ordered the Chicago deep dish and it was delicious! I'm used to the pizza places in Cleveland as I'm from Cleveland and recently moved to Lorain. Nothing to write home about. We ordered online and it gives you a 10% discount so that was cool. We purchased the Taco Pizza & the Deluxe. Sent a confirmation text saying 15-30 minutes which was cool then sent an additional one saying they were busy it would be 40 minutes, no worries glad they sent us the info. Pull up And you can see the employees making the pizza. Now I know nothing's perfect and people touch your food bare handed but when the whole world can see what you're doing with no gloves on, reaching into a container of cheese putting it on the pizza then checking your cell and putting your hands back into the cheese container... come on! Taco pizza was nasty the meat was so dry smelled like dog food so mixed with the dry flavorless crust it was no good. The sour cream and taco sauce come on the side which is off but ok. The deluxe was pretty tasty though and they made the pizza look so perfect we almost didn't want to eat it. read more

Pizza. It's written in my DNA... THE UP-SIDE: At three months old, I was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that requires a constant influx of pizza pie to keep me alive. Selenti's offers your standard pizza shop selection, along with some Italian dinner choices. The pizza is always good, and the fried eggplant slices work surprisingly well as a pizza topping. THE DOWN-SIDE: The other dinner selections are... inconsistent. I've had some good pasta from them and some that was just so-so. THE SUM-IT-UP: Look, it's a neighborhood pizza place that makes good pizza, and occasionally offers some other solid choices. Been going to Selenti's since 1981 and have never been disappointed until last Friday 12/19. Had people to the house and we got a few Ham, Cheese and Pepperoni subs. The subs were nowhere near the quality that they have been in the past. The amount of the ingredients seemed to have been reduced by over half and the bun seems as though it was under baked. Sadly after over 30 years of doing business with Selenti's I doubt if I will be going back as it was that disappointing. read more

I work close to here so it's convenient to stop in for lunch and get the piece of pizza slices they offer them for two dollars a piece or two for 3.50. I was tired of soggy crust pizza from marcos dominos and pizza hut so i tried selentis in lorain. I was blown away by how good it is. The crust is cooked throughly; its crunchy and delicious. When entering their restaurant i also noticed its clean; the floors counter top etc, this is a big plus for me. I just found my new fav pizza joint in lorain.
