They installed and refinished hardwood floors in our new home and a ton of scratch marks were left all over the place. When I asked about the scratches I was told they were normal and unavoidable, but I've never seen anything like this and from what I've heard from others it's definitely not normal or unavoidable. In addition, I found stain splattered on our wall and a big splotch of it on the floor. Finally, when they installed the base shoe after they were done, it was left chipped on the ends and honestly looks pretty unprofessional. This was a huge expense for our family and I am really disappointed that it didn't turn out better.

The plumber left without even giving us a chance to look at the work. Kring's refused to pay to have the damage repaired and is suggesting that we're obligated to pay for undelivered goods. This is an absolutely terrible deal. Our house is damaged and bathroom unusable. If you want to roll the dice on your roof literally collapsing due to negligence, maybe Kring's is for you.

After checking references, I chose Cordray Roofing. Their references were excellent, and we drove by houses they had roofed and were impressed by their work. Cordray was not the cheapest bid, but their extra cost was in labor, not materials. I did not want a crew that was rushing through my job in order to get to the next job, I wanted a crew that treated my roof as if they were working on their own house. That is what I got with Chente and his team. They did an excellent job! They removed two layers of shingles and the tar paper layer and found four spots where the plank decking was rotten. All four spots were redecked at no additional charge. The crew was polite, professional, and worked their tails off, completing the entire job in four days. The finished roof looks fantastic, better than we had expected! The workmanship is impeccable, including small finishing touches that give a clean, tight appearance. There are two things I must mention regarding Cordray's business practices. First, when the shingles were delivered, the delivery driver thought he saw a third layer of cedar shingles under the two layers of asphalt. That was not included in the bid, and would cost another $700 - $900 to remove. Cordray told me that this was an error on their part, and they would not charge me for removing the additional layer. Once they started tear-off, they discovered that there was no third layer, just a row of cedar shingles along the edge to reinforce the overhang of the asphalt layer. I'm sure that was a relief to them, but I was still impressed that they stepped up and stood behind their estimate. Second, even though the roofers took precautions by putting up tarps and plywood during tear-off to protect the house, one of our window screens was torn by falling debris. These are rather expensive "invisible" screens and the tear was not easy to see. I did not notice the damage for four months. When I did see it, I contacted Cordray, not really expecting them to do anything. After all it was months after the project was completed. Jeff Cordray asked me to send a photo of the damage, which I did. He immediately informed me that he would cover the full cost of the replacement, and even worked directly with Andersen windows to pay for it. To say Cordray Roofing is a class act would be an understatement. From start to finish, they exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone need roofing or other work done on the home.

Work was fantastic, not a single problem. Rodolfo the tile setter is more of an artisan than just a tile guy. His work is precise, meticulous and at the end of the day absolutely beautiful and this little project turned out the same as 5 years earlier. When I called to tell his supervisor of my satisfaction and how good I thought Rodolfo was, even the supervisor remembered me from 5 years earlier. When a company has people that remember you down to the level that he was able to tell me it was a black and white kitchen and a downstairs bathroom, I got to give them a big thumbs up. That is a company that, in my opinion, is worth doing business with. I wish I had more tile work to be done; I would and have highly recommend SBJ Installers to anyone based on Rodolfo.
