I couldn't have been more pleased with the finished product, and they were able to match to my existing hardwoods at about 98% closeness. I was very happy. Fast-forward three years, I had a leak in my kitchen and hired a contractor to do a full kitchen remodel, including refinishing the entire first floor hardwoods. They did a poor job at refinishing the floors. There were cracks in the floors, the stain didn't match at all (despite the exact same stain color and brand), and there was pooling of stain everywhere. I actually texted Tyrer to come and give a second opinion on the bad work of the contractors I hired, which they gladly came to assess the situation. Twice. For 2 separate issues. I just thought all hardwood companies did about the same quality work - I was wrong. Tyrer even consulted for a friend who had similar issues with her floors. I've recommended Tyrer to all my friends, and if I'm not able to settle with my existing contractor, I am absolutely hiring them to redo the poor craftsmanship of the other company. Prices are comparable or in some cases lower than the larger stores. With each visit I have made, the brothers who run the store have visited my home after I picked out my samples, to check my measurements. Order has never taken more than a week before installation was completed. Installation and follow up service has always been first rate, with the owners involved in each step. Its nice to do business with people who want to do a good job for you and want you to be satisfied. Even remembering you on a return visit. Sadly, too many places these days don't provide such services.
