We needed some laminate flooring replaced due to a drain backing up beneath our hot water heater in the pantry next to our kitchen. Fortunately, we had a large amount of spare laminate planks from the original installation so we didn't have to worry about matching or replacing the ENTIRE floor. Fantastic Floors was more than happy to do a 'labor-only' install using the materials already on hand. Their estimator and installers arrived as promised and their original estimate was on the mark. Although they did provide a disclaimer that there may be noticeable seams around the edges of the replaced section, once completed it looked as if nothing had been replaced. If I had placed an insurance claim for drain backup, they probably would have replaced the entire floor rather than just the damaged section, which would have blown up our home for days; instead we were able to fix the PROBLEM for less than our deductible would have been filing a claim. Can't speak to their actual new floor installations but for what we needed they were perfect. read more

Worst flooring company ever. We were referred to them because the owner (Juan) is a good friend of a family member. They sent a crew that was very unprofessional and even confrontational when we pointed out our concerns. Now a year later our concerns have come to fruition. We named our cats Fant, Astic, and Floors because when you call them, they just sit there and do nothing. Constantly miss appointments, same excuse twice in a row, one installer out sick, one out of town. Same out of town location each time. No call. None. Replacing two carpet noses, only brought one. Counting confuses them. Find anyone else. read more

After going to their store and listening to Christian music and seeing Christian verses on the walls, I was assured they could install sheet vinyl on my concrete kitchen floor, and install vinyl plank in the living room and dining room over the existing flooring. An appointment was made to have the areas measured and Gina called, right before the appointed time to say she would be an hour late, because she wanted to buy a laser measure, so she wouldn't have to use her tape measure. She assured me Fantastic Floors could do the job and then stayed for an hour first telling me that it was a family owned business and they were all "Godly people", and then telling me that the owner, Juan, worked his way from the bottom and he personally spends time with his employees overseeing them to see their work is done right. I later learned, upon my visit to the store today, they contract out their labor. Gina had told me I would receive an estimate by noon, which I did not. I drove to the store again today after work and was told their contractor's insurance has a problem with the existing floor materials. I then asked if I could just buy the products: sheet vinyl and/or vinyl plank, and was told "NO". I said "so you're refusing me any service?" and Gina said "yes". I asked "why" and her response was "it's a gray area". Needless to say, I'm furious and don't recommend Fantastic Floors in Olathe. However, JOE's FLOORING & Wholesale Center in Lenexa, and their FLOORING OUTLET in Lenexa were very accommodating and carry many choices of top of the line products. I DO recommend them. read more
