New year, new house project and Floor & Decor continues to be our "go-to" store for flooring and tile. Upon our most recent visit we discovered they now offer quartz countertops and cabinet handles/pulls. We have visited all the local big box stores as we are remodeling our kitchen, but Floor & Decor not only has the best selection, but the best pricing as well. Our family was faced with a rather large rebuild, we came to Floor & Decor at the recommendation by our builder. We were beleaguered with decisions; kitchen, bathrooms, wood flooring, entrance foyer, etc. We had the good fortune to meet with Deborah Juliani at the Toms River, NJ location who took us under her wing and spent hours with us navigating us through it all. Taking one room at a time, Deborah collated themes, opening our eyes to multiple possibilities. We highly recommend Deborah, her kindness, patience, keen eye, thoroughness we're greatly appreciated and recognized. Its a big box store and they have a lot of stuff, and their stuff is usually spot on to what it is, tile engineered flooring, floating floors, etc, can you get the same thing at other places? Usually YES, and sometimes NO. Just be aware of the web site, just because the website says they have it doesn't mean they do, which is frustrating. But all in all not a bad place and quality of flooring is pretty good Customer service is a bit better than a fast food place, yet the dock people do a darn good job, roaming internal people are just a bit busy holding the chair down to actually look for what you want but they do a really good job of pointing in the general direction. So do your homework first you'll probably need the knowledge base. read more

I am convinced no one actually works here. I've tried calling 4 different times letting it ring for a total of 20 minutes and have not had someone answer the phone. I've tried 3 different departments (extensions) and have not talked to someone. Frustrating. read more

I had unopened product to return to the store today. My project was suppose to start in July or August but was postponed by GC till October which pushed our return date out of the store's 90 day return window. We could only get store credit for $453 of about $870 of product. The rest of the amount was able to be applied to our credit card. We initially spent a couple of thousand dollars at their store. We have no use for the store credit. Needless to say, we are not happy with this policy and would not recommend the store because of the policy. read more

DO NOT choose "WATERPROOF" laminate flooring. Nothing is "waterproof" even though it says as much. We purchased Aquaguard Euclid Run flooring and we got water some water in the basement within a month of refinishing the basement. Floor and Decor would not warranty the floor, and it took a month to get a response for the claim. The water was cleaned up within the first hour or so of it coming in and it still warped the floor. We tried fans, dehumidifiers, etc. Almost a month into receiving water, we decided to pull up the damaged area since Floor and Decor was in no rush to give us a response. There was still water under it, wet boards. We were only wanting 350 sq ft of product from Floor and Decor and they would not do so. Bottom line...Floor and Decor and Aquaguard do not warranty their waterproof flooring and are in no rush to respond to claims either. AND WATERPROOF laminate flooring is not waterproof. Not recommended. read more

I heard about Floor and Decor from a friend. Since it's Covid 2020 remodel year, I decided to update my bathroom and kitchen. I have zero creativity, so I scheduled a free design appointment. I got Annie and she was so wonderful, engaging, helpful, knowledgeable and has years of design experience. I can't believe they do not get commission, since I'm in sales, but they work from their hearts. Annie made this experience so much easier for me than I ever imagined. She knew about sealing and cleaning marble, how to pick grout and the need for white mortar under marble or it will stain, plus she matched large porcelain pieces for my kitchen, gave me a free estimate for my quartz countertops and showed me some wonderful slate and limestone choices. I love the natural stone look. Since my order was so big, I had to borrow a friend's truck. I was worried about having to pay for them to hold it. Another free service is free storage!! Oh my friend knew what she was doing referring me to them. When I came back to pick up my order, Madison was as sweet as an angel taking her time to answer all my questions. Chris and Belle helped load the truck. Everyone is so kind, helpful and sincerely interested in the products and their delivery of information. I will definitely return for my basement and seek Annie's help again. She is a Designer Extraordinaire!!! read more

Started off okay. Got some clearance flooring and realized we needed two more boxes. Brian ordered them for me and said they would be there that Friday. Friday came and went, and I gave them the weekend for good measure. I called the following week and was put on hold for 30 minutes and I finally gave up and hung up. Called again a couple of days later to be told it never shipped out, but they "promised" it would that day. Never got a call about it, again. Had to call to check for them to tell me it was finally in two weeks after it was supposed to be in. We also had to get a bunch of stuff for it to be installed.... which I think is ridiculous.. WHY would you not charge for materials and bring it with you instead of putting that task on the customer? We can't find anything we need, and could barely find anyone to help. The few we saw didn't ask if we needed help with anything. We asked where something was, and instead of taking us to it, she just points and says on that wall... way across the store, which it was not. We also need 1/4 rounds and baseboards.. they only are sold in what looks like 20 foot sections... We asked if they cut them down for people (like Home Depot) and was told we could BUY THE CUTTER AND DO IT OURSELVES. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life. I go to stand at customer service where there was a woman helping someone. We were never greeted as we awkwardly stood there for at least ten minutes. After TWO more people joined at customer service and completely ignored us standing there, we decided to leave. We want to go to Home Depot, where people actually help you, but are now told we won't get the warranty for our floor installation if we get the other things from a different store, even though THE FLOORING is from floor and decor. We are most likely going to cancel the installation, return the flooring, and get our money back. Apparently they'd rather lose a $2,000+ sale of flooring, supplies, and installation than be about the customers. I have never had such a hard time in my life trying to get something done. If we go back to floor and decor, it will only be to return what we have purchased. read more

One of the employees, appears to be a supervisor, does not wear a mask. The other employees were, but she does not feel the need. Even though she got very close to customers while checking a receipt, got super close to our cashier while helping at the register. We walked out. When asked why, she became somewhat rude. I was probably rude as well. An unpleasant experience. 3/12 update- well apparently HR didn't care enough to follow through and change behavior for adherence to stated store policies as well as state and local policies. My wife was in this week and told me the same employee is still walking around massless. Hey, we love the selection but that tells me the customer is not #1. I don't get it...this is about adhering to your stated store policies. read more

I LOVE the vast selection here. I always find what I'm looking for, or what I wanted, but didn't know I wanted! They always have plenty of product in stock. Their displays are great and sell themselves. They have unique product I don't find at the box stores. The "inspiration station" is such a good idea, so I can set up my tile and match it up, step back and look at it to get a visual. A couple days ago, a staff member named Cindy, asked me if I needed help. I said no, I was fine. Then, by her observing what I was looking at, she said, "well let me know if you need help finding sealer or anything else. I assume you know you need to seal your marble before grouting. I'm happy to help you make decisions too, if you need help choosing and getting ideas." Hmmmm. What??? I DIDN'T know I needed to seal my marble before grouting. I was about to make a big mistake. So, I enlisted her help. She was a such a wealth of information. I have been a DIY'er for 20 years, and felt pretty confident in my abilities, but she told me things I didn't know. Granted, I have always worked with ceramic/porcelain tile, and am new to working with marble. How different can it, be, right? Wrong. She knew what country the marble tiles were from. "This tile is from Turkey. Just like the one you're looking at. It would match!" She knew what kind of grout I needed. Sealer. Edging metal pieces. She asked me what I was going to use on the corners. Where I was going to lay the tile. If my wet saw blade was sharp. She helped me choose grout color. Showed me samples. Trotted me all over the store, here to there, getting everything I needed. She even sprayed down the marble, showing me what it would look like after it was sealed, since it can darken. WOW. Someone, put this girl on commission! She deserves it. I spent an extra $100 because of her, and do not regret any of it. I now feel very confident in the look and longevity of my upcoming tile job I'm about to embark on. The sealer and grout have a very long warranty, and so this is work I will not have to redo anytime soon. YAY! I'm blown away. Customer service like this, these days, is very very hard to come by. Shopping for any type of flooring can be overwhelming, but our second experience at Floor & Decor we left confident in the tile selection for our kitchen renovation. Our first visit was back in December and they were newly opened. We went during the day and the place was fairly busy. We were greeted at the door and asked if we needed any help, but we were there just to browse. Browse we did as this place has a ridiculous amount of options to choose from. There were a few times during this visit we looked for a worker to ask a question, but were unable to find any help. We left with a few sample tile choices to take home and match with our granite countertops and cabinets. Fast forward to February and we returned to look at other options for tile and return the sample tile we bought in December. This time around the store was fairly empty and a worker, Frankie, found us right away and helped us with our selection. At first we just wanted to be left alone to browse at our own pace, but he ended up being helpful, knowledgable, and patient as we looked through different options. In the end we went with a ceramic, light gray, faux wood tile and we can't wait to see the final product! One simple request I saw a fellow Yelper ask for-- a changing table in the bathroom would be greatly appreciated. I know this is a tile store, but there were numerous families shopping when we were there and it was a bummer to change my baby on the floor. read more

I have been here a few times, everytime i have been here Medinah has walked by and asked if i needed help. Today I needed help, she was there, helping me get all the tiles for my shower walls, bathroom floors (3 btw) and a large breezeway. Came in thinking, I have no idea what all lintels for 900 S/F of tile for a church and as I walked in saw an employee and ask can you help me, and wow can they help, I was guided and made my time there worth it. Came out with what I needed and Morgan was amazing, super helpful and kind. I had been praying a Floor and Decor would make it all the way up to KC after a bittersweet move from Phoenix, AZ and when it did I forgot to write a review and tell you all how amazing this place is!!! (This review is only relevant for services and products rendered and not on bathroom accommodations.) Every house we buy we end up remodeling and we have been able to do that because of Floor and Decor. When we moved to KC we quickly realized a lot of people wanted to charge us a TON of money for products I knew were a mere 1/100 or even 1/1000 of the price quoted to us. Well, lo and behold they opened one here! We went the day they opened (it was the soft opening)...and it was just as we remembered (although not quite as big). The contractors that aren't being fair and honest won't like this store, but people like me who like to do the work ourselves LOVE this place!!! Saved us thousands of dollars!!! A woman by the name of Hayden in the design center dismissed my call and had a terrible tone right out of the gate. She refused to listen, and certainly did not apply any effort to answer my questions. She told me I could email a picture(quickly barked out an email address without spelling it), but couldn't promise they would get back to me anytime soon since they were in a meeting. Haven't experienced poor customer service like that in a long time. Why do they put together design inspiration pieces on a wall if they refuse to provide details? A solution (to avoid human interaction), would be to display product info under the displays. Thanks for delaying my rehab project. I'll have my angry contractor give them a call back. read more

Nice store but hard to get someone to help you. The lady was super nice and helpful once we got someone. Though she seemed to be the only one helping people. We had to return the product because we realized it just wouldn't go with our house with the intent to rebuy something else there. I called to cancel the order and they even called back to say it cancelled but a week later shows 2,300 has not been refunded. We live over an hour away and don't want to come back in until we are ready. Guess we will to ensure it gets refunded. A little disappointed about this read more

Their product selection and prices are unbeatable, and I have used installers they recommended without any problems and with beautiful results. Most recently, I purchased tile and grout for a bathroom remodel and had to have some tile shipped to me. I was blown away by the attention and help I received by a manager, Katie, on this relatively small order. Ok..wow! Just WOW! I was super impressed immediately by the selection...then the sheer cleanliness and organization..then the HELP! Yes! Genuine old-fashioned UNSOLICITED HELP!! (Not hands in the pockets-hope the customer does not ask me for anything while I'm working this job). Sue's help on Saturday and Cindy's help on Sunday was soooo helpful and amazing...they listened to our plans and ideas (which were sketchy and very elementary on our end)..and had fantastic direction and honest insight and opinions. We left with the purchase of multiple samples...and returned the following day with a very easy return of unwanted items and they started our list on our order on an account in the system while we added the details to FINALIZE our project! YES! They actually wanted and cared enough to spend the time to make sure we had all the details to FINISH our list to eliminate return trips and frustration with color matches and planning (grout selection, natural stone sealer, threshold shower piece and metal finishing trims for shower edges). Cindy even proceeded with us to check us out so we didn't have to re-count the items on our 2 large carts. We even had 2 other amazing ladies help us load our haul into my SUV! Girl Power!! Super duper impressed with this place...don't be discouraged if you go and have to wait a bit for help-because you will get personal help and as much attention as you need for your trip and time there. We witnessed this with many other customers walking around with sales associates all over the store in multiple departments. We literally had the best experience here than we have ever had at any DIY establishment. The number one reason for today's success weighs directly on Mr. D. He was patient and very informative. My wife and I had numerous questions which Mr. D. Was able to answer and elaborate on. On top of being extremely knowledgeable his personality was very inviting. He offered us the time necessary to fully grasp the full scope of our project. My advice to anyone on the fence thinking about where to shop I'd say your decision to shop with Mr D's expertise will not leave you disappointed.
