I had called ahead to inquire on what I was looking for & the gentleman informed me they had the exact unit that was removed by the sellers in stock. Talk about luck! I really did not want to deal with a big box store. I promptly came over in person the following day to make sure I could secure it for purchase/delivery. More than happy with the customer service, here. It was a holiday weekend, but they were still open! I noticed the expansive showroom- such a variety of nice appliances! Both new & gently used/refurbished. It wasn't even 10 minutes in & he lead me to the combo I was inquiring about... headed right to checkout! But it doesn't end there... I got an "apology" as he was taking the time to look up the price comparison between big box stores- and literally went out of his way to not match it, but offer it for about 10% less! That absolutely made my day, right before I was told delivery AND install is only $50! Because obviously there's no way I could maneuver this on my own. It was a very easy transaction for a great price, delivery/install scheduled for the next week first stop of the day. ...and dang, that was a quick & flawless install! They arrived a little earlier than I did but were in & out (one man maneuvered this) in less than an hour. He took the time to check the connections & do a test run. All works perfect. It was absolutely flawless & I'm SO happy to have a washer & dryer to utilize after fully moving in tomorrow. The ONE thing I'm a little disappointed with: there is a check in offer on Yelp for a free stainless steel appliance cleaning kit. I did reference it & present the offer... but I did not receive the kit. So, please don't offer things if you aren't going to honor it. Can't complain about free, but just a little disappointing. Otherwise, this is a family owned business since 1945 local to Mesa. They take great pride in their business & you actually feel like family shopping here- because they take great care in making sure you have the right appliance for the right price along with peace of mind in a solid delivery/install. I'd highly recommend, and will absolutely be shopping here for any & all appliances in the future. This place puts the big box stores to shame, really. I was able to come into the store, catch up since my last visit, select a paired set of appliances, and have them work directly with the tenant for delivery and installation. Extremely unprofessional, disorganized, and a complete waste of time. I contacted this company to schedule a refrigerator repair at one of my rental properties. I provided the full property address, tenant's name, multiple phone numbers, my email address, and even photos of the appliance. All they needed to do was contact the tenant and schedule an appointment. Pretty simple, right? Apparently not for this company. Instead, I received multiple repetitive and contradictory messages asking for information I had ALREADY provided. It became painfully obvious that nobody was actually reading my messages or paying attention to the details. Despite repeatedly asking them to contact the tenant, they never called, never scheduled an appointment, and never made any meaningful effort to help. One message claimed they had the tenant's information and would coordinate scheduling, while another said they couldn't contact the tenant and wanted us to do it ourselves. What kind of appliance repair company can't even make a simple phone call to schedule a service appointment? The lack of communication, attention to detail, professionalism, and basic customer service is astonishing. If this is how they handle something as simple as scheduling, I certainly wouldn't trust them to handle an actual appliance repair. Save yourself the frustration and find another company. I would absolutely NOT recommend Appliance Care & Repair. Zero follow-through, terrible communication, and a complete waste of my time.

I also have flooring that needs to be done at another property, and I was deciding between Lowe's and Home Depot. After my interaction with an employee named Adam, Lowe's has lost at least a few thousand dollars of my business, potentially more. From the beginning, Adam was incredibly dismissive. I explained what I was looking for and asked reasonable questions about the flooring and estimate, and rather than engaging with me normally, he repeatedly stared at me blankly, as if my questions were stupid. If that wasn't what he intended to communicate through his body language, he should be aware of how negatively this behaviour comes across socially. Staring blankly at a customer after they ask a question, rather than engaging with or answering them, is not a positive or professional way to communicate. When he began putting together an estimate, I noticed that the numbers were significantly different from the estimate shown online and asked him why. Instead of simply explaining the discrepancy, he looked at me and asked, "Are you okay?" in an extremely disrespectful and patronizing manner. I responded, "Are you?" and asked to speak with a manager. He then told me that he was answering my questions, "just not the way you want me to," despite the fact that I was asking for clarification precisely because my questions were not actually being answered. When I requested the manager, he sarcastically said, "I'm calling the manager. Is that helpful enough for you?" I told him that he actually had not been helpful at all, at which point he simply walked away and left me standing there without telling me whether a manager was coming. I ultimately had to find another employee and ask them to call a manager for me. The interaction also had extremely misogynistic undertones in my opinion. The combination of the condescension, dismissiveness, patronizing "Are you okay?" response when I questioned the estimate, and general manner in which he spoke to me left me feeling that I was not being treated with basic professional respect. The assistant store manager who eventually spoke with me was very nice, listened to what happened, apologized, and told me he would address it with Adam. I genuinely appreciated how he handled the situation. Unfortunately, by that point the damage had already been done, and I will be taking these flooring projects elsewhere. Lowe's needs to emphasize basic social and customer-service skills with its employees. Customers should be able to ask questions about purchases costing thousands of dollars without being mocked, patronized, or treated as though they are an inconvenience. And even if a customer were being difficult--which I was not--an employee responding with sarcasm and disrespect is incredibly unprofessional and an excellent way to lose business. In this case, that is exactly what happened.

We should have written the above review some time ago; but what occurred yesterday was outstanding. We had a dishwasher throw a fatal code earlier this week. E&J told us it was time for a new machine and recommended a well known appliance store here in town. When that store's installers couldn't remove the old dishwasher without damaging our kitchen, Ernie, the Owner of E&J came to our home himself and took care of the problem free of charge. We don't expect free work from valued suppliers and insisted Ernie take something for his service; but what a difference E&J is from the big appliance store installers who demanded more money for a job they couldn't do without damaging our home.
